Home arrangements
3rd Person POV:
(Y/n) was in the Leblanc food and coffee truck working a shift.
Akira was teaching (Y/n) some facts about the coffee beans he had whilst showing him how to make a good cup.
Akira: So... Any questions?
(Y/n): Not really... But where do you keep the spare coffee beans?
Akira: Oh, uhh... It should be in one of those cabinets behind you.
Akira began attending to the customers while (Y/n) checks one of the cabinets.
Opening one of the cabinets. Instead of finding coffee beans, he sees several gun metal boxes with a gecko symbol on it, along with a red and black card that had a symbol and "Take your heart" written on it.
Akira: Hey (Y/n), come to help me out. We have two large curries to make.
(Y/n): Right away...
Closing the cabinet he leaves to help his boss.
(Opening theme)
Akira watched as (Y/n) prepared curry, with the recipe for what Akira called "The best curry" that he learned from a man called "boss".
Bettering his cooking skills tremendously, (Y/n) somewhat enjoyed making food.
(Song on the radio)
(Y/n): Hey, Mister Kurusu?
Akira: Yeah?
(Y/n): I don't mean to pry, but I couldn't help but see the card in your cabinet.
Akira:!
Akira: So you saw that...
(Y/n): What is it?
Akira: Have you ever heard of the Phantom thieves of hearts?
(Y/n): Uhh... It sounds familiar...
Akira: You weren't probably born during their known active time.
Akira: Basically, they were a group that stole the hearts of wicked individuals and made them confess their evil deeds.
(Y/n): Really?
Akira: Yeah. They were extremely popular during my teen years.
(Y/n): Huh, did they even get caught?
Akira: They caught the leader, but only because he wanted to be caught.
(Y/n): What about now? Are they still active?
Akira: Some say yes, some say no.
(Y/n): Hm... Make people confess... Wish I had that power.
Akira: It is pretty useful.
After finishing the curry, Akira tried it out.
Akira: Not bad, the spices need work tho.
(Y/n): Got it.
Akira: Hey, (Y/n)?
(Y/n): Yes?
Akira: Have you been to the Jintou museum?
(Y/n): No, I didn't know this town had a museum.
Akira: Really?
(Y/n): I've only lived here for a little over a month now.
Akira: I see... Why did you move here?
(Y/n): My... My father passed away, so I'm living with an old friend of his.
Akira: Oh, I'm sorry for bringing up a hard topic.
(Y/n): It's fine... Anyway, why are you here?
Akira: Two reasons mainly. The first is that... Let's say an old friend wanted me to scout this place out for a job he needed to give...
(Y/n): The second?
Akira: Getting things ready, so when my friends arrive, we can do a little job and move on from there.
(Y/n): Cool.
Akira: It's getting late, why don't you take the rest of the curry with you, and go home for the day.
(Y/n): Okay. Thanks for the work.
Akira: No problem.
Packing up his things, (Y/n) wandered home with a box filled with curry, and a deeper bond with Akira.
Arriving home, (Y/n) was surprised to see Mana.
Mana: Hey (Y/n).
(Y/n): Hey Mana. You're home early.
Mana: Yeah... I know.
Mana: We haven't spent a lot of time together, so I thought we should do something.
(Y/n): I'm kinda tired from work so is watching TV good enough?
Mana: Sure, of course.
(Y/n): I got to bring some curry I made back with me, so we can eat that.
Mana: Perfect, because I can't cook.
The two of them then grabbed some utensils and began watching tv on the couch.
Mana: So... Tell me about this job of yours.
(Y/n): I needed some money, so I got a job at the Leblanc food truck.
Mana: Oh I love that truck. I always go there.
(Y/n): I could tell...
Mana: I really need to change my diet, so I can go to the gym less...
Mana:!
Mana: Hey, you're r learning to cook there, right?
(Y/n): Pretty much.
Mana: How about this then, I'll give you some money and you go fill up the fridge for me, and cook for us.
(Y/n): Are you sure? I'm not the best cook.
Mana: I taste tested your father's cooking, I can do the same with the next generation.
(Y/n): Okay, but remember, this is what you wanted.
Mana: If this curry is proof of something, it's proof that your way ahead of your father when he was your age.
(Y/n): Really? What was he like at my age?
Mana: He... He hhadn'tchanged a bit over the years....The years that I had known him.
Mana: He always acted like the smartest man in the room. Most times... He was.
Mana: You had to be careful about what you said and how you say it because if you didn't he would quickly find out whatever was wrong or what you were hiding.
Mana: When he found out, he would do everything he could to help, if something was truly wrong.
(Y/n): The old man could never stand by and watch when something was wrong.
(Y/n): I guess he didn't want it to escalate into something worse.
Mana: That habit of his got him into a lot of trouble. Hopefully, you didn't pick up that habit.
(Y/n): Maybe a little.
Mana: Hopefully I can get you to pick up a better habit.
(Y/n): Can you... Tell me more about my father?
Mana:....Of course.
Mana: But let's do it another time. IIt'sgetting late, and you have school tomorrow.
(Y/n): I'm tired anyway...
Mana then moves in closer to (Y/n) for some reason, but then changed her mind and tried to hug him, but as he turned the situation become more awkward, so she just patted his head.
Mana: Goodnight.
(Y/n):... You too.
Escaping that uncomfortable moment with her and headed to his room.
During his free time, he had gone into the Usso with the others of the YDI club. There he managed to get multiple personas.
Now with some money in his pocket, he hopped to travel into the velvet room to fuse up some new personas.
(Ending theme)
