Chapter 48: Hawaii (Part 1)

This morning Ren-nii informed you to come home early to prepare the belongings for tomorrow. After school you rushed to go home. You enter the Leblanc and found your brother already here. Even Futaba also here.

“Welcome back.” Futaba greet you with smile.

“Oh, you back.” Sojiro looked at you “Actually, can you help me for a sec? There’s a bunch of dishes that need cleaning.“

“Okay Sojiro-san.“ You puth the bag on chair and take the apron to wear it. You wash the dishes while your brother cleaning the table.

“That reminds me…you both leaving for Hawaii tomorrow, right?” Sojiro ask as you just nod. “That’s enough help for today. Go on and head up to bed you two.“

You turn off the tap and wipes your hands.

“Have fun. I’ll make sure I keep working on you know what after I’m done taking a breather.“ Futaba told before she looked at Sojiro. “By the way, Sojiro… are people in probation even allowed out of the country?“ She ask curious to know the answer.

“There’s no law saying they’re not.“ Sojiro answer. “As long as it’s fine by me, it’s fine in the eyes of the law. I mean, not letting a lid take part in school events probably wouldn’t be good for his rehab.“

“Huh… but if anything bad happens in the trip, it’ll be the school's responsibility.“ Futaba seemed to understand.

“That’s right.” Sojiro nod as he want to take a smoke outside.

“Monaaa, I’m going be your master from tomorrow on!“ Futaba informed to Morgana.

“Yeah…“ Morgana replied with sigh.

“Aren’t you gonna ask for any souvenirs from Hawaii? No hula doll or anything?“

“No.” Morgana replied again but with trouble on his face.

“Heyyy , Mona's acting weird!”  Futaba say.

“Is something wrong Mona-chan?” You approach him at the chair and get on the knees to look at him.

Morgana avoid looking at you. “No,nothing in particular.“ He get off the chair and went upstairs.

“Weird Mona.“ Futaba mutters as she stand up. “I’ll see you again you two. Good night.“

“Night Futaba-chan.“ You saw she leave the Leblanc.

After you both done prepared the suitcase for tommorow. You then saw the chat is on.

Yusuke: We will be parting ways tomorrow. I pray both trips go safely.

Rin : Thank you. Take care if yourself Yusuke.

Makoto: Futaba, we’ll be relying on you for the analysis.

Futaba: Leave it to me.

Ryuji: Just let us know if anything comes up, k?

Futaba: A-OK!

Ann: Then off we go! Look after Morgana for us.

Futaba: Have a nice trip.

End of chat.

Xxx Next Day XXX

Before you go to airport, you checked all your belongings.

'Okay, I got it all.‘ You thought pull the suitcase.

“You’re taking off, huh?“ Sojiro came upstairs. “Don’t go cutting loose just 'cause I’m not there to keep an eye on you. And make sure keep an eye on your sister Ren.” Sojiro looked at you.

“Of course.“ Ren answer as he ruffled your hair.

“I’ll look after Futaba and the cat while you’re gone. You both owe me one.“ Then he went downstairs.

You approaching Morgana at couch and his back facing you. “Mona-chan?”

“We’ll talk more about our next job once you two get back.“He replied.

“Okay.” Ren answer.

“Good.”  Then he also went downstairs.

“What’s wrong with Mona-chan, Ren-nii?“ You ask your brother just shrug wondering that too.

“We should go now.“

Xxx Evening Xxx

At airport, before departing you guys have free time to talk while waiting.

“I’m so sleepy…“ Ann yawn covering her mouth using her hand.

“Me too, Ann…” You squat down.

“It will take over six hours to get there, so why not sleep on the plane?“ Makoto said.

You and Ann nod. “We’ll do that.“

“It’s almost time to check in.“

“Phew,looks like it’s gonna take off on time. I feel like a lot of flights headed to America tend to run late or get cancelled…“ Said Ann.

Makoto looked around. “Is it just me or Ryuji not here yet?“ She ask.

“Don’t worry he WILL be here.“ Ann smile. “As you know Makoto, he told me he can’t miss this trip when he have plan with someone this important right here.“ Ann wink to Makoto.

“Oh!” Makoto seemed catch on what Ann said.

You stand up. “What are you two smirking about?“

“Nothing.”Ann put her hand behind just smile.

“Oh, he’s here!“ You saw Ryuji run and stops infront of you guys.

“I wasn’t expecting to make a mad dash like this.“ He put his hand on his knees still trying to catch a breath.

You take a mineral bottle and give it to him. “Ryuji you don’t need to run.”

“Sorry, it just I can’t missed this trip. It important to me.“ He gladly accept the bottle and drink it. “Thanks.”

“See Makoto, I’m right about that.“ Ann whisper to her and Mishima approaching you all.

“Hey guys, they want us to gather near the boarding gate soon.“  Mishima informed.

“Thanks for telling Mishima.“ Ren replied.

Mishima nod before suddenly he approaching you. “Hey,Amamiya-san, I want ask you, where you gonna seat later when inside the plane?“

“Me?Oh I be seating beside Ann.“ You said. “Why Mishima-kun?“

“N-Nothing.” He shake his head. ”I see you again.”

“Okay.”You smile as he leave.

“Why don’t we take a group shot before we take off?“ Ann suggest.

“Ooh,sounds good.“ Ryuji agree.

“Ren-nii should be cameraman.“ You stand beside your brother as all gather closer to him.

Ren take out his phone and click the camera app. He raised his hand to position it.

“Here goes.” Ren said as you guys look at camera and make a pose. Ren click it and we all saw the picture.

Suddenly Ren chatting message been open up automatically.

Futaba: Ryuji your face look tired.

“What?” Ryuji confused.

“How can you tell, Futaba?“ Ann eyes widen.

Futaba: Surprised?

Futaba: I snuck an app on Ren's phone.

Futaba: I can see all I want through his camera.

Futaba: I can see you looking at me now, Rin !

Futaba: Mwehehe . You can’t underestimate the original Medjed.

“Futaba-chan..." You sweatdropped reading those chat.

“I am so glad she’s not an enemy of ours.“ Makoto sigh in relief.

Inside the plane, you reading info about Hawaii. After a minute your eyes feel sleepy.

“You sleepy?” Ann ask you.

You nod. “Yeah, I’m not sure I can’t hold this longer.”You told her.

“Me too, we both should go to sleep.“ She said as you both closed your eyes and didn’t realise you fall asleep.

You slightly open your eyes. “Hmmm… “You rubbed your eyes and feel weight on your left shoulder. You saw it was Ann. Her head lean on you. It seems she also fall asleep. You hear the announcer that we will be arriving shortly. After we check out from airport, we use a bus to transport to hotel.

Xxx Day time Xxx

”Yes!We're here! Hawaii!!!“ Ryuji exclaimed loudly. He sure is excited.

“I am so embarrassed.“ Said Ann in whisper as you just giggle.

“Is this the smell of Hawaii?” He smell the scent. “Actually ,I've been wondering since the airport, but what is this smell?“

“Supposedly the lingering scent of carpet cleaner. It’s coconut scented.“  Mishima answer. “Plus,I'd say the scent of plumeria for the leis are amplifying the tropical atmosphere here.“

“What are you, the king of random facts?” Ryuji said.

“Wow, that’s amazing Mishima-kun. You know a lot of info.“ You smile cutely at him.

Mishima feel his face blushing. “T-That’s nothing. I-I just… I’m the type that likes to look up stuff beforehand.“

“Then if I don’t know something at this place, can I ask you again?”You ask.

He nod. “O-Of course Amamiya-san." He looked away try to hide his blushing face.

“We do that after we got room assignment. We can’t go out until we get our keys!“Ann informed.

“Then I wanna be room with you." Ryuji point to Ren.

“You belong to a different class, Sakamoto-kun.”Kawakami-Sensei said as she walk toward you all along with Makoto beside her.

“I can’t?” Ryuji frown.

'I thought I can same room with Ann.’ You thought, sadly.

Then two girls approaching Ann and said they want be roommate with her.

“Okay.” She agree. “Well, see you guys later.“She leave.

“C'mon, can you just hurry up and make your decision?"  Kawakami-Sensei said.  “Also I leave it to you, Makoto.” Kawakami-Sensei leave.

“Then,is it ok if I room with you?“  Mishima ask to Ren.

“That’s fine.“ Ren answer.

“It’s decided then.” Mishima drag his suitcase and make his way to the room.

Ren about to walk away when he noticed you. “How about you Rin?“

“Me? Don’t worry I’ll be fine. Just go.“ You replied.

“Call me of anything happens okay?“ He pat your head as he join Mishima .

“Rin-chan?”

“Hm?” You turned to Ryuji.

“Are you gonna be fine?“ You nod.

“Okay, I’ll see you later. I need to find someone.“ Ryuji leave too.

'Who should I supposed to share with?‘ You thought, worriedly on your face.

“Rin-chan…“

“Oh, yes?“ You forgot that Makoto’s here too.

“Earlier,I heard one student that don’t have roommate . If you want I informed about you to her.” Makoto said and show the key room to you.

“Sure Makoto.“ You nod. You don’t have choice right now.

“Great , go to this room.” She give you a key and you take it from her.

After you put your suitcase inside your hotel room. Ann messaged you to meet at the beach after this. You take your phone and went to beach meet them there. You arrived seeing others here too.

“So this is Waikiki!“ Ann said.

“There sure are a ton of people here. And a lot of talk buildings, like hotel.“ Ryuji said .

“It’s a little to clean here. It feels like a artificial resort.“

“And looks how the clear the ocean is.“ You add.  “Wait, isn’t that Diamond Head?“ You point.

“Ooh, I saw it from the bus too!” Ryuji exclaimed as he wondering that name.

Ann said we should look up on online. Then Ann search a place for recommendations . Makoto said even we here we still looks our phone. Ann suggest we should do what people do in Hawaii.

“How bout we just take a walk, I wanna see more about here!” You guys agree and enjoy the day.

Xxx Nighttime Xxx

After you done taking a shower, you plop on your bed.

‘Ahh, what a nice bed.‘ You feel a soft mattress.

“Hey you!“ You sat up seeing your roommate.

“Me?”You ask point to yourself.

“Yes you. Who else am I talking too?“ She said. “ I want to ask about your brother, Amamiya Ren right?“

“What is it? What about my brother?“

“Is it true that your brother do a bad things? I know he on probation and I also heard that he do a drugs and some violence thing.“

You stand up from your bed and glared at her. “What?! No, you got it all wrong! My brother never do that things!“ You almost raised your voice.

She rolled her eyes. “Whatever.I'm going to take a smoke outside this veranda. Make sure don’t open the door if someone knock.“

You take a seat on your bed after hearing what she said. How she think your brother like that. The rumors about your brother still on going? You feel your eyes getting heavy thinking all this stuff and didn’t realise you fall asleep.
