Chapter 43: Futaba Recovery

"Rin!"

"Rin!"

"Mmm....." You answer but your eyes still closed.

"Wake up!"

You pull the blanket up because it's too bright. "What is it,Ren-nii?"You mumble.

Then you feel the blanket being pull away and you use your hand to cover your eyes."Aaah, too bright,too bright!"

"All right, that's enough,little sis." You sat up and scratched your head.

"Why you wake me up so early?"You yawn.

"Here."He handed you 6 tickets.

"Tickets to Skytree?Where did you get this?" You rubbed your eyes.

"Sojiro gave it to me. He said bring the others too."

"Ooh really? Should we go now?"

He flicked your forehead."First you need take a shower."

"Right..." You giggle.

Xxx Asakusa Xxx

"We're up so high!" Ryuji exclaimed as he see a view. "But I can't settle down."He sigh.

"Yeah,today is X-day.." Ann said making you guys more worried.

"Any sign of Medjed?" Yusuke asking to Makoto as she still looking at her phone.

Makoto shake her head. "Not so far." You poke her side using your elbow and point her right side to see. Her eyes widen when she saw Buchimaru doll.

"Ah Buchimaru-kun.That bring back memories!" Ann smile seeing that.

"I'm taking a photo!" Makoto exclaimed.You sure her tone kinda remind when you guys fighting.Scary.

"Count me in too,Makoto!" You both nod and let others join too to take photo and doing some other things to enjoy.

"If we can't deal with them,I wonder if the city,or even the entire country,will turn against us."

"Let's have faith and wait.For Futaba."  Ren said.

Then you all go back home.

Xxx Leblanc Xxx

"Welcome back." Sojiro greet you both.

"Sojiro-san, how's Futaba-chan?" You ask.

"Same as always." He answer as he place two cup of coffee at counter table. "Today's the day Wakaba passed . I do this every year..And I've got a cup for you two." You both take a seat and drink a coffee. "Futaba reminds me so much of her mother. She's a smart girl.Doesn't just go with with the flow,either." He said. "Wakaba...Your work and your kid so fulfilling for you ...Why'd you have to die so suddenly?" He sigh."That remind me, you two saw me talking to that prosecutor."

"You mean that woman has long grey hair?"

Sojiro nod. "I remember you were real bothered by it.She might come back,so I guess i should tell you two about it. That woman was trying to get information on Wakaba's research out of me."

"That's what we heard in the Palace." Morgana said in whisper.

"Is it cognitive science?" Ren-nii said making Sojiro surprised .

"How did you...oh, Futaba probably told you." And suddenly you heard the door being open and Futaba came in ."Futaba?!" She take a seat beside you and grab your cup and drink a coffee.

"It's cold..." She comments.

"Huh?"

"You can't sell this!" She said to Sojiro.

"Never mind that...How did you get here?" Sojiro ask.

"Uh... I walked."

"You ok?"

"Was that bad?"

"That's not it! I'm just shocked to see you out of the house!"

"Uh... I'm sorry I worried you."

"It's all right..." Sojiro rubbed his eyes and went to corner.

"By the way , what's the date today?" Futaba asking you.

"It's the 21st." You answer.

"I feel like I'm forgetting something..."

"Medjed..." Ren-nii told.

"Oh that's it!" She remember as she whisper to us. "Let's take care of it.Come."

Xxx Futaba's Room XXX

"It's my turn to help out." Futaba said as she start doing something on her computer. "Hmph,Medjed.Now, how do we cook them?"

"It's up to you." Ren-nii said.

"Do whatever you want."You add.

Futaba nod. "Roger that."She said like taking an order.

"Hey,Futaba?We don't have much time left.Are you sure you could do this?" Morgana said making Futaba surprised.

"Th-The kitty talked?Is this a dream? I'm going back to sleep."

"It is NOT a dream!Get up! Say something,you two!" Morgana exclaim.

"He's a talking cat."Ren-nii answer.

"R-Right."

"Now hurry it up."

"Eh, I guess it doesn't matter.Let's get cracking!" She continue doing her work.

After 10 minutes, she still doing her work.

"You're just tapping away over there.Are you sure this will work?" Morgana said.

"......."

"Um, Futaba-chan...." You called her.

" ......." Her eyes still can't look away from her computer.

"I don't think she can hear us.Talk about intense concentration." Says Morgana before he mention about messy how's Futaba room.

"Well how about we clean this room then .Just waiting around is boring."

"Okay, Rin you sweep the floor and I will take out the trash." You and your brother start cleaning her room.

"Phew...it looks a little better now, don't you think?" You wipe your forehead.

"Well,Futaba? We're done on our end.Are you finished yet?" Morgana asking her again.

" ........"

"She can't hear a word I'm saying."

"Guess we'll just have to keep waiting."

Xxx Evening Xxx

"I'm dooone!" Futaba exclaimed as you and your brother surprised woke up from the nap.

'Did we fall asleep?' You rubbed your eyes.

"Something happened?" It seems Morgana surprised too.

"It's finished." She answer then she turned facing us and her eyes widen seeing her room. "Ah, it's so clean!Why?"

"We cleaned it.Anyways,is it true? Did you really take care of Medjed?"

Futaba nod. "I handled them,and someone else handled my room? I don't understand,but this is good." She then take a mini pillow beside her and place on keyboard and she place her head and falling asleep.

"Futaba-chan?" You hear her snoring.

"She's sleeping..." Morgana said." Well, it looks like it's been taken care of.I guess we should get home and sleep too."

"Wait." You said.

"What's wrong?" Ren-nii ask.

"We can't leave her like this.Its not good for sleep if she keep position like this." You careful pick Futaba up and place on her bed."There."

"I'm surprised you're strong ,Lady Rin." Morgana said.

"We should leave now. Good night Futaba-chan." You all leave the house.

Xxx Next Day XXX

You and your brother came downstairs and found the others already arrived

"Yo,you both look tired." Ryuji said.

"We've made ourselves at home." Ann smile.

Then you all heard the news on TV about Medjed.The newscaster said Medjed site seem taken down by Phantom Thieves. You guys can't help and smiling hearing those news. Suddenly Futaba came in.

"Oh! Did you just get up!" Sojiro smile seeing her.

"Good morning." Makoto greet to her but Futaba walking towards you and hide behind you.

"It seems she's cautious of us..." Yusuke said.

"Why don't we go upstairs guys? If any customer come, she'll be even more afraid." You said as all of them agree .

"Cheers!"You all exclaimed as toast the can drink.

"You're seriously awesome,Futaba!" Ryuji said to her.

You nod, agree. "Yep, you're amazing Futaba-chan!" You sit beside her on bed while she holding something on her hand.

"Actually , Futaba. I want to ask you something.Is there anything else you remember?About your mom's research?" Makoto ask as she still silent.

Makoto sigh. "She is quite difficult..."

You see her open the cup noodle and you can smell that flavor.

"That smell..." Yusuke respond.

"C'mon,no fair..." Ann whining.

"Why don't we take a break?" Makoto said.

After done eating,you guys continue the conversation.

"I am surprised international hackers could be completely defeated like that." Yusuke said.

"The one who taunted the Phantom Thieves was guy in Japan." Futaba speak. "I knew Medjed members in Japan weren't anything special,so I wasn't worried."

"How do you know that?" Ann ask.

"Cause I'm the founder." She answer making all of you surprised.

"Um...what do you mean!Should we take that literally?"

Futaba nod. "Yep. It was only me at first,back when I was referred to as the hacker of justice.But since I stayed anonymous,guys from all over the world started using the name."

"And those were the ones commiting cybercrimes."

"It was a hassle to expose all of them,so I just left them be." Futaba said.

"Uh,so Futaba was the true Medjed, and we were freaking out over some weak-ass dipshits?" Ryuji said. "You should've told is from the start,Futaba."

"I discarded the Medjed name while ago.I'm Alibaba now."

"Say Futaba.How did you find out about us?"Makoto questions her.

"Secret."

"Where did you learn to hack?"

"Private."

"When did you obtain the Nav?"

"I refuse to answer."

Makoto smile then she stand up. "Let's continue this next time.Shall we go?" The others leave too.

After a minutes,you hear Sojiro voice.

"What,they all left already?" You just nod. "I was gonna make dinner for them. Then after I close up,how about we go out to celebrate your recovery?" Futaba smile hearing that.

"See you later." You and your brother said.

"Huh?You both coming too." Sojiro replied.

You and Ren-nii looked each other and join with them.

You all eat sushi together but Futaba the only one still not finish her sushi.

"So how is it?Good?" Sojiro ask as Futaba still munching the sushi.

"Delihious!" She answer still take another sushi.

"Don't wolf it down like that.No one's gonna take your food." Sojiro said as Futaba feel choking.

"Here." You give her green tea and she drink it.

"Hresfroomf!"

"Huh? Restroom? They're that way." Futaba stand up and staring at you.

"You wanna come with you?" She nod. "Alright then." You both go together into restroom .

"Are you okay in there, Futaba-chan?" You wait infront of her toilet door.

"Y-yes."She came out and wash her hands.

"C'mon, let's go." She follow behind you and you both back to seat.

"That was close...I thought I was gonna die!" Futaba exclaimed and she turned look at we both." When I got into middles school,my mom and Sojiro took me out to eat sushi to celebrate.That sushi was so good.Today's was pretty good too.I hope four of us can come again sometime."

"Me too." You said as Ren-nii nod.

"I wish she could've had today's sushi too..." Futaba looked down. "Listen,my mother was researching cognitive patience. She made a groud breaking discovery, and then.... I'm sure someone mudered her. It wasn't suicide."

You gasp hearing that.

"I'll make him pay.And,you two better help me out."

You both nod and hearing Sojiro shouting when he paying the bill.

"Looks like we won't be getting sushi to go." After that you four go back home.
