Hey everyone! Here is the long awaited Chapter 14! I hope you guys like it and without further ado, let's get to it!

"Welcome back!" Were Nanako's words while I took off my shoes. She tells me there's instant noodles in the cupboards for dinner so I thanked her and started making them. While eating, I sat with Nanako on the floor in the living room as the news played. It was just general news, looks like nothing new came from the murder cases. At the bottom of the screen is that there's the weather forecast. It shows the weather for tomorrow and the next six days, there were no back to back days with rain so I can keep up with being carefree. I finished eating and cleaned up and went to my room to study before heading to bed.

After school I grew hungry. I looked at my bank account and saw that my parents topped it up with 100,000 yen so I can treat myself. Maybe others... "Hey Chie, Yosuke, wanna go get something to eat? My treat!" I asked the two as Yosuke nodded and Chie's face lit up which made me laugh. We made it to the Chinese Diner Aiya as we ordered meals for each other. I got tan-men, Yosuke got the pork on rice and Chie got the steak and rice. As the person behind the counter handed us our food, Yosuke's voice filled the restaurant. "Nakamura!? Your family works here?!" I look up to see a familiar girl around our age with blue hair and a white headscarf. Wait, he said Nakamura? As in Aika Nakamura from our class? "Yeah, they do." She spoke in a monotone voice. "You didn't know? The Nakamura family is known to own Aiya!" Chie chuckled, "How have I not noticed it..." Yosuke just stares down in his bowl of food.

"Narukami, how's it here in the boonies?" Nakamura asked me while washing the dishes as I told her that I liked this place. She nods and goes back to doing the dishes as I start to eat. "I saw you made friends with Kou and Daisuke. It's great to see them smile with someone near them when they come here and eat. Haven't had much of a chance to talk to them so it's nice to see them with someone like you." I could sense her lips formed into a small smile just by hearing her words. The three of us continued to talk and eat as Nakamura just kept doing the dishes. Over time, Chie finished eating and had to leave since her parents rang her wondering where she was. Yosuke offered for his dad to drop me off and I accepted because it is getting late. As Yosuke left Aiya to call up his dad, Nakamura sat next to me, obviously tired.

"Hey Nakamura, you ok?" I asked her as she nodded solemnly, "Just taking a break, gotta few more orders to deliver and then I'm done for the day." Must be exhausting to both run the shop and deliver orders, I hope she's not overworking herself... "I know that look, that's the look Kou and Daisuke give me when they think I'm overworking myself. Well you don't have to worry, I'm fine. That's why I'm taking a break, I take frequent breaks when I can." Still, I- "Yui! My dad's here!" Yosuke called out from the entrance. "Go ahead, I'll see you later Yui." And with that, Nakamura went behind the counter and I left the building. Yosuke opened the door to his dad's car for me as I stepped inside the car while he went to the opposite side. "Where you live, Narukami? Can you put it in Yosuke's GPS?" The older man asked me as I did what he asked me to do.

While we drove and the GPS gave directions, Yosuke's father spoke. "So, you Yosuke's girlfriend?" That question made both Yosuke and I go red in embarrassment. "Dad! She's just a friend!" The older man just laughed at his son's statement, "I'm kidding, I'm kidding. Geez, learn how to take a joke." The boy next to me just stared out his window, not making eye contact with me. I didn't mind since I was doing the same thing. "In all honesty, Narukami. My son has told me a lot about you and how kind and gentle you are as a person. Thank you for being Yosuke's friend. You've probably seen the bad rep he has here because of our family business and it's been incredibly hard for him to make friends. I am truly grateful for what you've done," His words gave me a warm feeling in my chest as I thanked him wholeheartedly.

It didn't take that long to get back home since the streets aren't as busy as the city. "Thank you sir for dropping me off!" I say, making my way out of the car. Once I was out I went to the driver door where he was and bowed, "It's not a problem, Narukami. It's nice to meet you, I hope you and Yosuke become great friends... maybe even more..." He whispered the last part as it made me go red, as well as Yosuke who overheard it. "Dad!" He whined to his father while the grown man just laughed, "I'm just teasing. Now, say goodbye to your friend." Yosuke waved goodbye to me and the car left. With a deep breath, I regained my composure and walked inside the house. Nanako's warm welcome made me smile while taking off my shoes. It was a long day, I just collapsed onto my bed after changing out of my uniform.

The bell for lunchtime rang and I was heading back towards the classroom from the bathroom before I saw Ebihara in the hallway. "Oh, Yui. Say, you wanna ditch class with me? We'll be back before the final bell and I got a cover for us, you in?" She asks as I begin thinking. Eventually, I nodded while she took my arm and led me to the nurse's office. Inside was a boy that for some reason, looked a little familiar. "Hey Naoki, do me and Yui a favor and I'll get those gummies for you from Okina." With a sigh, the boy goes to a clipboard and starts writing. Ebihara helped him with spelling, "There, now get out of my face, you're annoying me Senpai." the boy growled. Senpai? He's a first year? "Thanks Naoki! Come on, Yui!" Before I collected my thoughts, the young girl took my hand and led me a way that didn't have any teachers, and was an easy escape.

And thus began our shopping spree in Okina. Ebihara tried on lots of different dresses and made me try on a lot of dresses too. We also stopped at... a lingerie store for some reason. She said her bras were getting too small and she needed new ones but the whole time we were there she kept handing me lingerie to try on. I didn't since the undergarments I have is enough for me. In the end, I bought a few summer dresses, a couple of hair pins and this set of earrings that matched with that snowflake brooch Dojima got for me. Normally, my family wouldn't allow me to buy all these clothes, the only clothes I have are the ones made by the family stylist.

"Hey, Yui? You haven't been talking much. You okay?" Ebihara asks, making me jump. "Y-Yeah I'm fine, Ebihara. Just haven't had many chances to go shopping because of my... upbringing..." I mutter back, wishing she wouldn't ask about my upbringing. "Heh, sounds like you were a trapped princess!" You're not that far off Ebihara... "I mean, you're just as formal as a princess, still calling me Ebihara while I call you Yui!" she continued, catching me off guard. "I-I'm just used to referring people to their last names...". "I can see that. I'm not gonna force you to call me by my first name if you're not willing to, go at your own pace." Ebihara smiled gracefully at me, is she being genuine? She has to be.

"Thanks Ebihara... for both being so kind and inviting me out to skip class with you. It's been a while since I did something like this, I forgot how fun it was!" Smiling sweetly, we both giggled. "And here I thought you were a boring square, never thought you would skip classes in the past. Let's hang out again! But this time, let's hang out after school!"

Ebihara looked at her phone, "We should start heading back, c'mon Yui!" And with that, we walked back towards the train station. The two of us were talking all the while riding the train back to Inaba and also trying to put the stuff we bought into our school bags to seem less suspicious One we made it to the school, the bell rang as we waited for students to leave first before heading in. I texted Yosuke if he wanted to hang out in which he responded that he would. I said goodbye to Ebihara and waited for Yosuke outside. He asked me where I was and I told him I was skipping, he wouldn't rat me out. "You should've told me, I wanted to skip with you!" Giggling at that, I told him I couldn't since it wasn't my idea but Ebihara's. He just went 'Oh.' and told me if I'm thinking of skipping, get him in on it. The two of us just hung out at Junes while talking and eating food. It eventually got late and he walked me home again.
