A backwater town called Inaba. Do you wanna tour?

Tsuyoi state in the passenger seat of Dojima's car, looking back at Nanako ever so often.

She looked back at him awkwardly, sadness in her big brown eyes.

It gave him an uncomfortable feeling.

I'm staying with these people, why do I feel uncomfortable?

"I need to stop for gas - the drive back to Inaba is a long one." Dojima states, pulling into a gas station.

Was I not paying attention? I'm having weird blackouts every second or two...

As the car stopped, Dojima stepped out of the van. "I'm going to be gassing up the car, you go and look around the shopping district. Nanako, you know where the bathroom is, right?"

A gas station attendee ran up to Dojima, with a pretty smile. The attendee had long curly gray hair, and wore a typical red and yellow Moel suit.

"Hey!" A raspy voice rang out. "Welcome to Moel! What do you need?"

Dojima looked at the attendee. "The regular,"

Tsuyoi felt the man (or at least who was assumed was a man) stare him down.

"Oh, is he new?" The attendee asked, and walked up to Tsuyoi, and his hand out. "Welcome Yasoinaba!" He spoke happily with a smile.

Tsuyoi reciprocated the handshake, like he was taught to by his parents. "Thanks. I'm really only here for a year."

The gas attendee smiled, and let his hand go. "Y'know, you're around the age to start working. You can always get a job at Moel!"

Sorry, but I have more self respect to do that.

Tsuyoi felt himself nauseous - and a twinge of pain.

By now Nanako had returned from the restroom.

"You alright? You don't look so good..."

Tsuyoi smiled. "I'm fine - just a bit of motion sickness I assume."

"Motion sickness?" Nanako asked.

"Er... it means I'm allergic to stuff like... long car and trains rides...?"

⚔️

Tsuyoi had vastly gotten over his nausea when he arrived at the Dojima residence.

Of course, he had a splitting headache.

I guess after dinner I'll go straight to bed. Tomorrow I'll get my room all straightened up.

Sitting down at the table, Nanako cutely turned the tv on.

Tsuyoi was always a latchkey kid - his dad was "always working" and his mother was a folklorist.

Television was the closet thing to a nanny for him.

He noticed on the television was a commercial - which had a young male with jagged brown hair and soft features.

"At Junes, everyday is costumer appreciation day. Come on in and get in touch with our products!" The brunet said cooly with a box of... stuff. "Everyday, young life- Ju~ne~su!" The teen sang in a singsong.

"Everyday, young life- ju ne su!" Nanako repeated, bobbing her head. She then glanced at Tsuyoi. "Have you been to Junes?"

Tsuyoi shook his head. "What's June's exactly...?"

Before Nanako could answer, the TV was showing a news story.

"In an interesting turn of events, the rumor that Ms. Mayumi Yamano and council member Taro Nametame having an affair has been confirmed true be both Nametame and Yamano."

Tsuyoi glanced at Nanako, should an eight old be watching a news story about an affair?

"Nametame's wife, Musuzu - a famous Enka singer - has yet to speak on the incident."

Tsuyoi glanced at Nanako, who seemed to have not notice the story.

⚔️
12 a.m..

Tsuyoi had yet to go to sleep.

The velvet room, the sudden nausea, god - this day has been a trip.

Tsuyoi glanced up at the sealing. So this is the room I will be staying in for the next year.

He closed his eyes, and drifted to sleep.

📺

Tsuyoi was in a strange, foggy room. The tiling was crimson red, and he had a katana in his arms.

"Do you wish to reach out for the truth?" A hollow voice rang.

Tsuyoi decided to walk ahead, despite the fog. "Sure," He mumbled sarcastically.

The fog continues, but Tsuyoi felt like he was getting somewhere.

He clutched the blade, and closed his eyes for a second.

Î ÆRT THØÜ, THØÜ ÆRT Î.  A glitchy voice rang in his head. The person he saw... well, a person in bancho clothing.

Tsuyoi immediately opened his eyes, a bit shocked.

He was stopped by a red gate, and pushed it open.

In the fog was a person - in a cloak with slightly glowing red eyes.

"Let me ask you again..." The person asked, "Do you wish to reach out to the truth. To make history? To face your self?"

Tsuyoi, jokingly, smiled. "Yes." And made a running start to slash the being.

Watch for Bewildering Fog, a male voice rang, it'll make your attacks not connect!

Tsuyoi blinked again, confused. Who is that...?

Ÿęłł fœr thræšh, īt'łł hęłp!

"Thrash...!?" Tsuyoi yelled, confusedly.

A clear white being emitted from Tsuyoi, which confused him.

"No not you...!" The person yelled angrily. "Īżæńægî!"

📺

Tsuyoi woke up in a cold sweat. The hell?

Tsuyoi quickly got dressed - which was simply black slacks, a white dress shirt, and black button up.

He politely brushed his hair as he walked down stairs, to which he saw Nanako making breakfast.

"Where's Dojima?"

"Daddy is at work."

That's right, he's a detective... mom told me that.

"You cook?" Tsuyoi asked.

Nanako looked up, "I can only make sunny side up and toast. Do you cook?"

"Er, kinda?"

⚔️

It was raining, which sucked. The wetness of the concrete soaked into the soles of his loafers, which was uncomfortable.

Plus, he had to walked Nanako. He barely knew her, and she barely knew him.

So it was a silent, awkward walk.

Nanako stopped and looked up Tsuyoi, Tsuyoi was at least a foot taller. "Your school is at the end of the road." She said cutely, and went down a brick pathway.

"See you." Tsuyoi mumbled under his breath.

It was a relatively short walk. While he liked the big city - the lights and the myriad of things to do - he admitted the countryside was pretty.

Tsuyoi heard a bike squeaking behind him, which made him turn his back slightly to see behind him.

"Fuck... steady..." Mumbled a modern looking brunet boy - probably in the same grade as Tsuyoi - on a sunflower colored bike.

Tsuyoi turned his head in the direction he was walking in.

Ignoring the brunet was a bad idea.

He heard a crash, most likely that bike was faulty and it's rider was on the ground or something.

Tsuyoi stopped - and looked behind him.

The brunet was of his bike - not on the ground bleeding, wheezing, or in pain. He was fixing something on his jeans - which was (what Tsuyoi could see) the brunets zipper.

"Are you alright?" Tsuyoi asked, looking at other boy.

"I'm-" The brunet paused, "I'm fine. Just got a critical hit to the nads."

Tsuyoi tilted his head, and walked off.

Was that the kid in the Junes commercial? Same hair color, same general look... nevermind. It's none of my business.

⚔️

When Tsuyoi entered the classroom - class 2-A - Tsuyoi immediately noticed the goofy, buck toothed teacher.

Of course, Tsuyoi must keep a respectful attitude about his teacher. Not only was his teacher his senior but it was his teacher!

It didn't matter if his teacher looked something straight out of a stereotypical 80's anime.

Tsuyoi bowed. "Good morning, sensei."

The teacher gave him dirty look.

Tsuyoi glanced over his classmates for the year.

"Talk about bad luck... the homeroom teacher this year is Mister Morooka, isn't it?" Moaned a sitting student with brown/black hair.

"Yeah... it's King Jackass alright. We get to enjoy his long-ass lectures everyday of the year." Respond the sitting student's friend.

King Jackass...!

"Hey you guys!" Squeaked a female student. "I heard there's a transfer student from the big city in the class."

It seemed he already had rumors about him huh...

"Huh? Guy or a girl?"

Tsuyoi rolled his eyes.

He noticed a short haired brunette girl in a lime colored jacket.

"A transfer student from the big city... Huh, so just like you Yosuke." A tomboyish girl stated, looking at her friend sitting behind her, who was collapsed on his desk. "Huh? You look dead today."

"Yeah, um... I don't wanna talk about it."

"What's with him?" The brunette asked, looking at a girl with long, silky black hair.

"Who knows?"

'Morooka'-sensei, rose from his desk - which was Tsuyoi's queue to head to the front of the class.

"Awright! Shut your traps!" Morooka barked harshly. "I'm Kinshiro Morooka, your homeroom teacher from today forward."

"First things first, just 'cause it's spring doesn't mean you can swoon over each other like love struck baboons!"

As if I would date someone here. I'm only here for 1 year tops - you can't fall in love that fast, let alone in spring...

"Long as I'm around, you're going to be as pure as the driven snow!"

The class seem to have found that remark as stupid as Tsuyoi did.

The yellow eyed boy even cringed.

"Now I hate wasting time, but I have to introduce our transfer student."

Tsuyoi knew that was was his queue to neatly write his name on the chalkboard.

Tsuyoi Birodo - つよい びろーど.

"This sad sack has been thrown out from the big city to the middle of nowhere like yesterdays garbage."

Tsuyoi nearly broke the piece of chalk in between his fingers.

"... And he's just as much as loser here as he was there, so you girls better not get any ideas about him!"

I'm only here for a year. I won't be swooning after girls I don't know a thing about.

"Tell 'em your name kid and make it quick!"

Tsuyoi looked at the class, on put his hand under his name on the board. "I'm Tsuyoi Birodo. It's nice to meet you all... and who are you calling a loser?"

Shit. Now I look like a darn hooligan!

The class looked at Tsuyoi like he beat the shit out of Morooka-sensei.

Morooka-sensei looked pissed off like he rightfully should.

"Hmh... that's it, you're on my shit list, effective immediately." Morooka-sensei barked. "Now listen up! This town is miles away from your city of perverts and assholes - in more ways than one. You better not even think of getting involved with any of these girls, let alone abusing them!"

Tsuyoi gripped the leather of his messager bag - he almost felt like he was ripping it a bit.

"But what do I know... it's not like the old days. Even here, kids grow up to damn fast."

Tsuyoi gripped the leather harder. If he gripped in any harder in would most definitely tear.

"Every time I turn my back, you all are fooling around on those damn phones, checking your tumble-weeds and your face-novels."

Morooka-sensei goes on and on, and Tsuyoi treated it like white noise. By now he was definitely tearing the bag, bit by bit.

The short haired girl - the one in the the lime colored jacket and brown hair - raised her hand. "Excuse me! Is it ok if the transfer student sits here?"

Tsuyoi now noticed the empty desk.

"Huh? Yeah, sure." He glared at Tsuyoi. "Hear that? Your seat is over there. Hurry up and siddown already!"

Tsuyoi walked over to where the desk was, releasing his iron grip on his bag.

Once he sat down, the brunette girl leaned over - whispering.

"He's the worst, huh?"

"I suppose."

"Rotten luck for you to get stuck in this class... well, we'll just have to hang in there for a year."

Tsuyoi heard people talk about him.

"Sucks to be that transfer student Tsuyoi, ending up in King Jackasses class on the first morning here..."

"Yeah, he won't think twice about suspending you if you get on his bad side... then again we're all in the same boat."

Morooka-sensei looked annoyed. "Shut your traps! I'm taking roll, and I damn well expect you to respond in an orderly manner!"

My life at this new school year has begun, will I be able to fit in here...?

⚔️AFTER SCHOOL⚔️

"That's all for today. Normal lectures will start tomorrow." Morooka stated, and walked towards the door.

As this, two girls walked towards Tsuyoi's desk.

However -

Bon, bon, bon. The bell rang, meaning someone from the front desk was giving an alert.

"Attention all teachers," The intercom rang, with a female voice. "Please report immediately to the Faculty Office for a brief meeting. All students must return to there homerooms and are not to leave the school until further notice."

Morooka glared at the glared. "Hmh. You heard the announcements. Don't go anywhere until you hear otherwise."

And then he left.

The a brunette girl - not the one next to him - groaned. "He's seriously getting on my nerves..."

A black haired girl - who was on of the girls that was by his desk - looked at him. "By the way, Birodo-san, the way you-"

She was cut off by the noise of police sirens.

A couple of boys ran towards the window looking out on the sports field. "Did something happen? Don't those sirens sound really close? Ugh, I can't see anything! Fuckin' fog..."

Tsuyoi noticed how he could barely see through the windows.

"Yeah, like, every time it rains lately it gets all foggy. And did you hear? The paparazzi's looking all other for that announcer."

"Oh, you mean Mayumi Yamano right? I heard some guys spotted her at the shopping district."

"Actually, I heard that..."

Tsuyoi, looked at the boys, unable to hear their whisperings.

"Are you serious!?" One of the boys yelled excitedly.

The boy - who had ebony hair and pale skin - walked over the desk in front of the brunette girl.

"H-hey, Yukiko-san. Mind if I ask you something?" The rumor-living student stuttered. "Is it true that the announcer's staying at your inn?"

The black haired girl - Yukiko-san - frowned. "I can't discuss such things."

The rumor-loving student blushed. "Y-yeah, I guess not."

The short haired brunette stood up and leaned on Yukiko's desk. "Sheesh, how much longer is this gonna take?"

"There's no telling." Yukiko said politely.

"I shoulda left before the announcements came on..." The brunette said, disappointed. "By the way, didja try what I told you the other day?"

Yukiko gave a questioning look.

"Y'know! That thing about rainy nights..."

"Oh...!" Yukiko squeaked, remembering. "Oh... no, not yet. Sorry."

"Ahhh, that's okay." The other girl responded, smiling. "Well... it's just, I heard a guy in the class next door yell something like 'My soulmate is Yamano, the announcer!'."

Before the brunette could continue, the bell rung.

Bon, bon, bon. "Attention, all students. There has been an incident inside the school district. Police officers have been dispatched in the school zone." The intercom rang. "Please stay calm and contact your parents or guardians as soon as possible, and quickly leave the school grounds."

One of boys squealed. "Incident!?"

The black haired girl - not Yukiko - looked surprised. "What, something actually happened?"

The browned haired girl smiled. "C'mon let's go take a look!"

A Few Minuets Later

Tsuyoi glanced down at his bag... yup, there definitely was some tearing.

Honestly, Tsuyoi blamed his strong upper body from being forced into baseball when he was ten.

He could fixing the tears at Dojima's, since it wasn't that severe.

He stood up, which caught the attention of the sporty brunette and Yukiko.

"Hey, are you going home by yourself?" The brunette girl asked.

"Yeah." Tsuyoi answered. "Does that make you unhappy?" Tsuyoi mumbled that under his breath.

The girl smiled. "Why don't you come with us?"

"I don't know you two." Tsuyoi answered bluntly.

"Oh, that's right!" The girl bopped herself on the head. "I'm Chie Satonaka. You know I sit next to you right?" Chie stated

"Yes, you asked Morooka-sensei that I could sit there."

"Yeah. Well, nice to meet you!" Chie smiled, which Tsuyoi found cute. She then pointed towards the black haired girl. "And this is Yukiko Amagi."

"Oh, nice to meet you... I'm sorry if this is so sudden." Yukiko stated, blushing.

Tsuyoi crossed his arms. "It's fine."

"C'mon! Don't apologize like that! It makes me look like I have no upbringing!" Chie joked. "I just wanted to ask some stuff. Really, that's all."

Walking forward, Chie asked whether or not the rumor that Tsuyoi was filthy rich was true - which it wasn't. He was upper middle class if anything.

Awkwardly walking towards them was the brunet boy from earlier, headphones in his ears - although they were noticeably not on. He had a BluRay DVD in his hand - Trial of the Dragon.

Tsuyoi had scene it.

He had thought nothing of it, generic action movie fluff.

"Uh, umm, Satonaka-san?" He said politely - looking bleak. "This was really awesome. Like, the way they moved was just amazing to see..." He continue with a blush.

Chie looked at him questioningly.

The boy immediately bowed, almost like he did a horrible crime. "And... I'm really sorry! It was Tomoko's fault- but it was an accident! Please just have mercy on my soul till my next paycheck!"

Chie awkwardly took the BluRay, glaring at it.

The boy looked frightened. "S-seeya! Thanks!" He blurted, and then ran off.

Chie ran after him. "Stop right there! What did you do to my DVD!?" Chie then kicked the fellow brunet... well, in the brunet's unmentionables.

That startled both Tsuyoi and Yukiko.

"Argh!" The brunet boy moaned in pain.

Tsuyoi and Yukiko walked over where Chie was - and the brunet boy was too.

Chie was looking at the DVD case, while the boy was protecting... was protecting his family jewels.

"What the...! I can believe this!" Chie said, completely taken aback. "It's completely cracked!" Chie showed the damage - which the DVD was in two pieces.

"My 'Trial of the Dragon'...!" Chie cried in despair.

The breaking looking student gasped. "I think mine's cracked too... c-critical hit to the nads..."

"I'm so sorry." Tsuyoi said, patting the boy on the back.

Yukiko stood near Tsuyoi and the other boy. "Are you alright...?"

"Oh Amagi-san and Birodo-san... are you worried about me...?"

"He's fine, guys. Let's ditch him and go home." Chie said with a pissed off tone, slipping the ruined DVD into her bag.

Chie and Yukiko walked off, whilst Tsuyoi looked at the pained boy.

He looks like he's in a lot of pain... "Do you need any help getting home?"

The boy looked up at Tsuyoi. "No... just give me a minuet."

"Ok." Tsuyoi said, walking off towards where Yukiko and Chie where.
