(After kissing her passionately, Liam looks her into her eyes and she also looks into his. They stay in that position for some minutes and in silence.)

Liam: You liked it.

Michelle: No. (She averts her eyes and looks down. Then she looks the other way.)

Liam: Yes, you did like it. (He touches her face.)

Michelle: I've already told you that you're a friend for me.

Liam: Don't tell me that. You're so cute.

Michelle (murmuring): You too.

Liam (smiling): Admit it, you like me, you've allowed me to kiss you and I always treat you well. (She remains silent and looking the other way.) Come on, say it. (He holds her hand and caresses it.) You can speak calmly, we're just the two of us here in this room.

Michelle: I don't want to throw you out, (she looks at him) but it's time you left. I agreed to go out with James this evening and it's 4 o'clock. He's going to pick me up.

Liam: Ok. (They stand up and go to the living-room, where Michelle's parents are.)

Bruno: Are you leaving, Liam?

Liam: Yeah, the baby has to go out now.

Michelle: Haha, I'm going out with James in an hour.

Bruno: Oh, yes.

Rosa: You know you can come any time you want.

Bruno: As long as her boyfriend is not here, otherwise you two will start fighting and we don't want that to happen here.

Liam: Yeah, it's fucking lucky we can see each other once a month. James comes here very often. (He shakes hands with Bruno and greets Rosa and Michelle with a kiss.) I see you at the wedding.

Michelle: Take care. (He leaves and arrives home by his scooter half an hour later. His siblings haven't still come back. He goes upstairs and then goes to the bedrooms. He sees his mum in her bedroom watching TV.)

Liam: Hey.

Peggy: Hey. (He enters and lies down happily very close to his mum. She caresses him.) Haha, I love being with you like that; you remind me when you were a baby. (Liam smiles.)

Liam: Are Georgi and Noel here?

Peggy: No, your sister comes at 8, and Noel maybe is ambling with his girlfriend after having eaten at the café.

Liam: Mmm.

Peggy: I see you're very happy; it seems you've had a good time at Michelle's.

Liam: As always. Her parents tell me in advance whether her fucking boyfriend is or isn't at their house, so they can tell me if I can go or not. They also see me as a friend, but they don't have any problem if I visit her.

Peggy: I don't like her boyfriend. He's too busybody.

Liam: Haha, yeah, she shouldn't go out with a bloke like him. He's all the time with Michelle without even being invited.

Peggy: And tell me, what happened that you are so happy?

Liam: I've caressed her and kissed her, and she's allowed me to.

Peggy: I hope to have a daughter-in-law. Georgi is about to get married, Noel has been going out with Kim for about two years and the next one is you. I like Michelle; you two have always got on well and so does she with your brothers.

Liam: Hah, she doesn't want to accept it, but I know she liked the kiss and the caresses as much as I did. I've caressed her skin and her hair for several minutes, and she didn't tell me anything, nor did she get away from me. She's so cute and innocent. I fucking love her; she will be with me one day.

Peggy: I hope to be here when all of you give me grandchildren. (Liam looks at her.)

Liam: You're gonna be here, mummy. You're gonna recover from your heart and live for many years. (Her mum kisses him on his forehead, they remain silent and watch TV. After some minutes, Liam falls asleep and nestles. His mum hugs him. Later, Georgina arrives and goes to her mum's bedroom to see if she is there and finds her with Liam, who is still sleeping. She greets her mum with a kiss without making any noise.)

Georgina (murmuring): Awww, he looks so tender.

Peggy (smiling): Yeah. Liam, it's time to wake up.

Liam (half asleep): 5 minutes more. (Georgina giggles and they wake him up again. Liam stretches and sits up. He greets his sister.)

Liam: What time is it?

Georgina: 8 o'clock. (Everybody leaves the room.)

Peggy: Do you know if Noel's coming back?

Georgina: He was at the café for a while in the afternoon with his girlfriend and Joshua, and he said to me that he was going to her house. He's staying there until tomorrow. Have you taken your medicine?

Peggy: Yes. (A few months later, Georgina and Joshua get married and they go on honeymoon all over England.)
