I'm Home, Dad

As soon as we teleported to Camp Jupiter, the legionnaires ran outside to welcome their Praetors and Centurion who had left as traitors and returned Heroes, Reyna right in front of the mob. After a few minutes of mayhem, Reyna yelled, "That's enough! Everyone, back to your activities, now!"

After a difficult 10 minutes getting rid of over-excited Romans, Frank, Reyna and I made our way to the Via Praetoria, where the decisions would be made. Reyna and Frank sat down in their chairs, and I conjured up a chair for myself. I told them, "If you don't mind, I'll be the third Praetor until we're done for today, then I hand it over to you. No biggie?" "No biggie, they agreed."

One by one, the legionnaires entered. The murderers and exiles were unceremoniously thrown out of Camp once again, while the others given sentences after carefully examining their cases. None dared to lie in front of Aurum and Argentum, so we were done fairly quickly, thank the gods. My patience was wearing thin.

The three of us then joined the legion for dinner and I supervised the war games that night, giving away the medals. The Fourth and Fifth Cohorts managed to storm the fort and capture the banners of the other three Cohorts. After the games, I made two announcements. One, that I would be giving over Praetor duties to Frank, and the other, about the newest child of the big three. I asked them to be on the lookout for other poweeful demigods, since the Gods would have time to claim them after the war. Promising to visit, I left.

The next morning, I woke up at the crack of dawn and went to the Hades cabin. I hadn't spoken to Nico since the final battle. He'd been spending a lot of time in the Underworld. The poor kid had lost two of his sisters before he turned 15.

I knocked cautiously on the door. "Neeks? It's Percy. D'you mind opening the door?" It opened a few seconds later to show a grumpy bed head Son of Hades. "Hey Percy. Come in?" He sounded depressed. When I sat down on one of the coffin-like beds, he said, "I've got something to tell you." And he told me something surprising.

Hades had found him bringing Annabeth's soul to Erebos, and had had an idea. The God had apparently made the kid his immortal lieutenant and enforcer. I laughed out loud in relief. I'll have company!

"Neeks, d'you know how to control your powers?" He shook his head. "I'm going to Dad's palace, to train. You wanna join me? Or maybe Hades can help you better than us." He seemed to think about it, before nodding. "I'll go and annoy dear Old Dad a bit," he grinned.

I ran to the beach, and jumped into the sea. The cool sensation of being in my father's domain washed over me, and I felt a sense of calm. I swam towards my father's palace, pausing to speak to the occasional fish and sharks that kept squealing Lord Perseus! Hail the Lord! Welcome! Honor to meet you, my Lord! At the entry to dad's palace, two mermen stood guard.

As soon as they saw me, they bowed low. "Welcome, Lord Perseus. Lord Poseidon is in his throne room with Lord Triton." I thanked them proceeded to the Throne room. The doors of the throne room opened on their own.

Dad was sitting on his throne, with Triton standing beside him. They were discussing something. Triton looked up and smiled at me. Huh? He hated me. The other son of Poseidon. Not his firstborn or heir, Nope, thats me! Was what he always said.

Dad got off his throne and gave me a hug, before saying "Hello Percy, I assume that you've been having trouble controlling your new powers?" I nodded. "The first step," he told me, "is accepting your place in the Sea." He gestured to an empty spot on the dais of the throne room. His throne and Amphitrite's were in the center, with Triton's on the right side. The space on the left was suddenly transformed in front of my eyes. Another throne appeared, similar to the one I had on Olympus, but much more royal looking.

I went over and sat on it. A blinding flash of light emanated from me, lighting up the entire palace, and later, the entire sea. "The Sea has accepted you, Lieutenant." Triton told me. "Rise, Perseus Jackson, Lieutenant of Poseidon, Master of the Atlantic Ocean." (A/N: it's really repetitive to give all his titles every time, so I'm just gonna add the new ones.)

He clapped his hands. A merman appeared. "Lead Perseus to his chambers," Poseidon told the servant, before turning to me. "Rest. We shall begin your training tomorrow." I followed the merman to a royal chamber, close to the Weapons Room. Suddenly feeling tired, I crashed into the soft bed and passed out.

The next morning, I was awoken by the blowing of a conch in my face. It was followed by a burst of giggling. Giggling? I opened my eyes to see two tiny merchildren swimming away, laughing madly at their prank.

Shaking my head, I dressed and joined the family for breakfast. "Omuri and Omari woke you up?" Amphitrite guessed. Seeing my blank look, she added, "the merchildren! They're your nephews. Welcome to the Royal Family, Percy. I'm glad to hear my husband and his fellow Olympians did something good as a family without disagreement. I know that things can be overwhelming at times, so I'm always here to listen to you and help, Percy."

A warm, fuzzy feeling enveloped me, and I felt that I was where I was meant to be. Perseus, come to the garden at once.  Dad spoke in my mind. I teleported there instantly. "You, my son, are the most powerful demigod to have ever been born. Your singlehanded defeat of the Earth Mother proves that beyond doubt. You were almost as powerful as a minor god in your mortal state, but now, as an Olympian, no one knows your might. It is essential that you learn to control your newfound powers. Let us start your training." He teleported me to an isolated stretch of seabed, claiming that the powers unleashed would destroy all life too close to us.

And so we began... Wait a sec! I ain't gonna tell you the details. What the wrong people read this? So... Let's just list whatever I learnt. I could now summon hurricanes with a snap of my fingers and not tire at all, I could will water to heal others, and suck all the water out of the area. (The first time we practiced that, I dried up the whole of the Pacific with just one blink)

I also learnt to summon earthquakes, will water into solid ice and make weapons and the usual immortal powers (teleportation, burst of godly energy, basic healing, giving heroes power through a blessing, and so on, and on, and on. Dad had given me a book " The Greek Gods' guide to immortality" that explained all. (My ADHD and Dyslexia were gone! As well as the nightmares!) Lastly, he informed me that I could control everything that had even a single drop of water. Blood, posion, ichor, milk, etc. Dad claimed that I had many more powers that would manifest as I grew older and more experienced. He also expected me to gain control of new domains.

About three months later, Dad determined that I was ready, and dragged me to Olympus for my first proper meeting. We walked into the throne room, and took our seats. "Let the Council of the Gods begin!" Zeus declared.

After a few hours of intense debate, Zeus turned to me. "Do you have any issues worth discussing, young one?" he asked. "Yes, My Lord. I must speak to the council regarding two matters. The first, setting up a portal between the demigod camps to allow for easy travel. Many heroes are putting themselves in grave danger while traveling to and fro between the Camps." All the Gods agreed to this, and Zeus gave me permission to et up the portal.

"As for the second issue, it's more of a request, Uncle. Please grant Hades and Hestia thrones on Olympus." "WHAT?"Zeus yelled, losing his temper. "WHY SHOULD I LISTEN TO YOU?" Athena interrupted. "Father, the boy is right. They are your older brother and sister, who have done nothing but help us in the previous wars, thus gaining their right to a throne." "For once, I'm on Athena's side," Dad agreed. Zeus softened a little, and called for a vote. Everyone except Ares had agreed with th Goddess of Wisdom. Looking as if we'd force-fed him poison, Ares swallowed his pride and nodded his head.

Hades and Hestia were instantly teleported to the throne room and two more thrones appeared for them. "Welcome to the Council, Uncle Hades and Aunt Hestia. Please take your seats." I told them, and they did. Just then, Aeolus appeared in the room. "My Lord Zeus, a God from another Pantheon wishes to speak to you. He says he needs help."
"Let him in, Aeolus. Who is he?" "Thor, Prince of Asgard, the Norse God of Thunder."
