Chapter Thirteen

"So did you two have your fun then?" Triton asked with a grin, coffee in hand.

Percy shot him a dirty look, "Oh shut up."

"For some reason he kept telling me that," Apollo said, going by Aidan again in the presence of the two sea gods.

"I had a reason," Percy retorted.

"Are you sure about that love?" Apollo said stepping closer to wrap an arm around Percy's waist. He pressed his chest against the ex-demigod's back, resting his chin on his shoulder. Watching with satisfaction as Percy's breathing became uneven.

"Awww thats so adorable it made me throw up in my mouth," Kym said with a small smile.

"Kym you can shut up now. No one cares," Triton said pushing her away by her face.

"Triton shut up or I will castrate you," Kym threatened.

Triton's eyes widen and he stepped away from the goddess.

Apollo decided to mess with them. "I thought your name was Terry."

Kym and Triton both froze.

Apollo grinned. "It's not like you two are hiding it very well. Triton your skin is still slightly green."

"You can see through the mist?"

"Of course."

Percy rolled hus eyes a muttered under his breath, "I thought the dance would give it away."

"Oh it did," said Kym, going into full Sherlock mode. "One: You were able to hold Percy up despite him being heavy because of the whole god thing. Two: You knew the dance, its a godly dance. So either you are a demigod, god or other mythical being. Three: the fact that you were able to hold my brother up so that rules out demigods and satyrs. So what are you Aidan?"

Now it was Percy and Apollo's turn to freeze.

"Kym," Percy said.

"No no its ok, I'll tell them," Apollo said.

"You'll what?" Percy said eyes wide, spinning around in Apollo's arms. Looking up at him.

Apollo loved the height difference between them. At first he hadn't liked his disguise much. The black hair and blue eyes had made him look too much like a son of Zeus. But now Apollo was a few inches taller than Percy and it was driving him crazy. He could look down on him and he looked even cuter from above.

The mist was working overtime on his eyes which were rapidly changing colours. Even more so than they were on Olympus.

Apollo faintly worried about that but pushed it to the back of his mind.

Percy's eyes were staying their old sea green but flickers of other colours could be seen, disappearing as soon as they showed up. Red, yellow, blue, grey, pink, purple. Each colour showed up within a second.

"I'll tell them, it's not that big of a deal."

"But could you not get in trouble? For leaving your job?" Percy said, pale yellow bleeding into his eyes. It worried Apollo how much the mist was malfunctioning. He could see the white tendrils of the mist creep up to his eyes and turn them back to green.

"Nah, I'll be fine. They probably won't even notice," Apollo said with a smirk, he leaned down and pressed a quick kiss to his lips. Completely catching him off guard.

Apollo pulled back and completely supported Percy's weight as he fell against him. His face going red as the mist worked to stop his face from appearing golden.

"I'm an aura," Apollo said. "I work close with Apollo, thats my job."

Triton and Kym were convinced. For powerful sea deity's they were quite gullible.

"Then how did you hold him up Aidan?" said Triton.

"You make it sound like I'm heavy," Percy mumbled into Apollo's shoulder.

"You are heavy dumbass," Triton said, stepping forward to poke Percy on the back of the head.

"I can feel the love."

"I used the air underneath him to help," Apollo said rubbing a circle on Percy's back. The young god's breathing hitched again.

"Alright then, Percy's got a nymph boyfriend," Kym said delightedly, clapping her hands together.

Percy groaned. Blue streaks started appearing in his hair, the mist was unable to cover them up.

"How about we go to Camp Half-blood? They think you got kidnapped by a god again," Triton said, staring at the blue streaks that had just appeared.

"They aren't wrong," said Percy, separating his head from Apollo's neck. He twisted within the supposed wind nymphs arms to rest his back against his chest.

"But they don't need to know that," Triton countered.

"Why not?"

"Don't you think it'd cause a tiny bit of panic that Gaea came after you? Lets just say the truth but leave that detail out. Sound like a good idea? Great lets go." Triton had said all of that quickly not giving anyone a chance to answer. He grabbed Percy and Kym's shoulders, flashing the four of them onto Half-blood hill.

When Apollo's vision returned to him he was met with the image of very noticeable blue streaks going through Percy's hair. He stared at them with wide eyes as the mist was unsuccessful in covering it up.

"Welcome back to Camp Half-blood bubbles," Kym said, starting her walk into the camp. All of them were able to get past the barrier with no difficulty.

"PERSEUS JACKSON WHERE IN OURANOS' POLLUTED FARTS HAVE YOU BEEN?"

Apollo quickly took his arm away fron Percy's waist as to avoid the wrath of the 5'9 son of Hades. Percy was tackled to the ground seconds later and Apollo found himself thanking the Fates.

"Calm down Neeks its not like I died," Percy said, groaning from the impact with the ground.

"WELL I DIDN'T KNOW THAT."

"Nice to know that somebody cares about me," Percy said as he sat up straight after pushing Nico off him. Shooting a glare at Triton.

"Who are you- Oh hi Triton." Nico gave the god of the tides a small wave before turning back to Percy and crossing his arms. "So where the everloving Deimos piss have you been young man?"

"Physically I'm older than you," Percy retorted standing up straight.

"'Physically I'm older than you'," Nico said in a high pitched voice. "Shut up I'm from the 1930s so I'm the older one here."

"I'm the taller one here."

Nico glared at the son of Poseidon.

Percy took a step back and raised his hands in surrender. "Wait no I'm sorry, please don't kill me."

Nico gave him a grin that didn't quite reach the eyes, "I'll think about it."

"Bubbles you didn't tell me that we had another younger brother," Kym said.

"I'm not his bro-" Nico started.

"Yes you are," Percy said, shutting Nico up by clamping a hand over his mouth. "This short one here is called Nico, he's a son of Hades but since all gods are terrible parents. Mom basically adopted him."

"I will just call you brother, dear little brother of mine. Plus now that you are a part of the family you need a nickname," Kym said putting an arm around Nico's shoulders and walking towards the growing crowd outside the big house.

Triton ran a hand down his face before following after his younger sister with a groan. Percy rolled his eyes and started walking down with Apollo.

Apollo stole a glance at him and saw the mist working as fast as it could to try conceal his rapidly changing eyes. It had completely left his hair alone, accepting the losing battle.

"You're staring," Percy said, not looking away from the crowd of demigods.

"Thats because I have something beautiful to look at."

Percy froze and slowly turned his whole body to face him. After a second he composed himself and spun around and kept walking.

Apollo hadn't slowed so when Percy caught up to him, Percy simply told him one thing. Three little words: "You're a shit."

"I'm your shit though."

"No you aren't."

Apollo froze and Percy kept walking. Apollo reached out and grabbed Percy's wrist and pulling him back.

"What?"

"When you say that your my shit that makes it sound like you came out of my ass."

"Did I not do that or was that night after the party not enough for you?"

Percy's eyes widened and he glanced around. "Tri and Kym are gods, they could hear you."

"Would that be such a bad thing?"

"I thought you whole point of you being like this was so you wouldn't get caught."

"So you don't like me like this then?" Apollo pouted.

Percy hummed, pretending to think. Apollo growled and pulled him closer by the waist. Fully aware of the stares that came their way from the campers.

"Well Aidan roles off the tongue better, I guess," Percy said after a pause. "Oh and I like the shorter hair too, doesn't tangle as much."

Apollo looked down at him with a blank face. Wiped clean of emotion but he knew that'd be no use. Percy had a way of being able to tell exactly what was going on in his head, just by looking at his face. Exactly what he was feeling despite the mask he put up. Hell he even recognised him when two millennia old deity's didn't recognise him. It reminded him of Hyacinthus. He could always see right through him, no matter the disguise he hid behind.

"What are you thinking?"

"You remind me of someone," Apollo said, his face softening.

"Hyacinthus."

"How'd you know?" Apollo asked. "Are you a mind reader?"

"No you're just an open book, and of course my brilliant guessing ability."

Apollo pulled them even closer, pressing their bodies close. "Guess I'll have to reward you for that then." He leaned down and pressed a hard kiss to Percy's lips. Stealing his breath away.

Percy pushed him back, breathing heavily. "We're in the open if you haven't noticed."

"Oh I noticed, I just don't care." Apollo stole another kiss.

Percy went to push him back but changed his mind and ran a hand through Apollo's now shorter, darker hair. Apollo immediately experienced Elysium.

Percy pulled back, "Well I do care."

"How about later then?"

"Sure, just not around kids," Percy said in between kisses.

Apollo pulled back after stealing Percy's breath away again. "I'll hold you to that."

"Alright, so back off or I'll stop complaining about it," Percy said as he pushed away from Apollo and started walking back towards the campers. Most of whom stared at him with wide eyes.

Apollo fell into step beside him, "Thats not really the way to motivate a guy to keep waiting."

"Well it'll just have to do won't it."

"Please," Apollo pleaded.

Percy spun around and pulled Apollo down for a quick kiss. Apollo stepped back the same time that Percy did.

"Hope that can keep you going until then." Percy grabbed his hand and pulled him along. Which Apollo was thankful for; because all bodily functions had failed him. The only thing keeping him going forward and not to the ground in a puddle was Percy's hand in his own. Apollo was staring dreamily at Percy because damn that man could kiss good.

"Can I get another one?"

Percy looked back and grinned. "No. Guess you'll just have to wait until later than aren't you?"

Apollo groaned, "You're mean and you're a tease."

"Stop being so dramatic, you'll survive."

"Not with this breaking heart of mine, I may be dead in minutes!"

"Oh yeah?" Percy raised an eyebrow. "And how would I fix that?"

"One kiss on the lips and I shall live! Oh my darling prince you must do it, I can feel its affects already!"

Percy grinned and pulled Apollo down for another kiss. Once he pulled back he bent down and put one arm under the older gods legs. When he stood straight he was holding him bridal style.

"Did that fix the problem love?"

Apollo blushed bright red and hid his face against Percy's neck. Percy's laugh rumbled through his chest and Apollo found himself smiling involuntarily.

"Ooooh look at that lover boy, oh no Prince Charming please don't killeth thee. For thy art just a simple peasant," Triton yelled, materialising a torn cloak to throw around his shoulders to really get into the role.

"Be back, foul evil. Thou shalt not harm thine princess," Percy said back.

"Seriously, I'm the princess?" Apollo complained. Not removing his head from Percy's neck.

"My love, do not peer upon thee unholy monstrosity before us. It is too horrible to look upon, I may very well go blind after I slay this beast," Percy yelled dramatically.

Triton froze and crossed his arms after flicking the hood down. Showing off his glorious blue locks and scaled skin." Did you just call me an 'unholy monstrisity'?"

Percy grinned sheepishly, "Maybe. "

"Rude!"

"What are you going to do about it Triton?"

The campers gasped as Percy said Triton's name.

"HEY PERCE DID YOU JUST INSULT A GOD?"

"YEAH!" Percy yelled back.

"WAY TO GO PRISSY, THATS MY BITCH."

"CLARISSE! STOP CURSING IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!" A male voice yelled at Clarrisse from the opposite side of the crowd.

"MAKE ME!"

Percy laughed and Apollo felt every breath he took. Every heartbeat. Apollo felt all of them. He loved it.

Triton glared at Percy, "I'll get you back for that, I swear to Pontus."

A harsh wind that smelled of the sea tore through long island. Within a second the smell was gone but the wind remained. Growing stronger by the minute.

Apollo lifted his head from Percy's neck, confused. This wasn't any wind he recognised. Apollo looked around, everyone was confused, trying to stay standing. Soon the only ones left on their feet was Percy, Triton and Kym.

Thud!

Apollo landed on his back as Percy dropped him. It didn't hurt. Being a god did have its perks. He quickly scrambled to his feet and rushed to where Percy had stumbled away. Coughing.

"Percy are you alright?"

"It burns, you burn. Don't touch me!" Percy yelled over the wind, allowing it to blow him back further.

"LEAVE HIM ALONE!" Yelled the voices of all the campers. There was a new determination in their eyes as they fought against the wind. A green haze covered their eyes.

"Percy, listen to me. I'm not going to hurt you," Apollo said, raising his hands in surrender. Taking a step towards the loyalty god.

"It hurts so much," Percy mumbled. His hair turned bright blue. Billowing in the wind. His eyes turned a dark purple. Frantically flashing through different hues.

"Percy-"

"NO GET AWAY!"

The winds started pushing Apollo back. Stronger than before. Thunder cracked. Lightning came down where Apollo had been standing two seconds before. He let the wind push him back. Triton and Kym were thrown to the ground.

Percy was still on his feet. His eyes- his eyes were glowing. Pure white. Parts of his true form breaking through.

"NOBODY LOOK AT HIS EYES!" Triton yelled from where the wind was mercilessly pushing him down.

The ground rumbled. Hungry for a sacrifice. Dark clouds swirled down. A horrible storm. One that affected everything, everyone. Except one.

"It hurts!" Percy said over the storm. Not raising his voice. But the wind carried his words to everyone there.

The wind began to circle. Pulling the clouds down. Rain beat against everyone there. Breaking the weather barrier.

"MAKE IT STOP!" Percy and the campers yelled together. The green haze bleeding into everything around them. The campers struggled harder to try reach Percy.

Apollo dissolved into light. Yanked back, away from the destruction. Destruction that Percy was causing.

When he reformed he was at the feet of his father, Poseidon and Hades. His Dad pulled Apollo to his feet as the other two helped Triton and Kym.

"What happened?" Zeus asked, hands on Apollo's shoulders. At least a head taller than him.

"I don't know. Percy was talking to Triton, then he just started yelling at everyone to get back." Apollo glanced back and saw green smoke dancing between the campers.

"Thats Perseus?" Zeus said surprised. His hands falling from Apollo's shoulders.

"Only his hair and eyes are different," Apollo said, confused that his father was surprised.

"No, my son looks quite different now."

"He really doesn't," Apollo insisted.

"Are you sure thats our brother?" Kym asked. Using Hades' arm to support herself.

Triton ran a hand through his hair. Pushing it back out of his face. "It has to be, we were there the whole time."

"Triton did you do something?" Zeus demanded. As a lightning bolt came flying at them but was quickly redirected back to the source.

Triton looked offened. "What? No. I said I would get back at Percy by swearing to Pontus. Then the wind came and it just got stronger."

"Could swearing to Pontus cause this?" Hades asked.

Poseidon frowned. "No it can't, its just an oath. Like the styx."

Zeus thought for a second.

Apollo faintly hoped that it would hurt him since he hadn't used his dormant braincell in so long. Unfortunately it didn't.

"HYPNOS!" Zeus thundered.

"Yes your majesty. Are you ordering more pillows for Olympus?" said a sleepy voice.

"No, put him to sleep," Zeus said, pointing at Percy.

"Then can you order more pillows," said Hypnos in the same sleepy voice.

"If I say yes will you put him to sleep?"

"Yes, I think I will," Hypnos said.

"Then I'll order more pillows, now make him sleep before long island doesn't exist anymore."

"Thats a tad dramatic," Hades muttered under his breath.

Hypnos disappeared in a puff of incense. Appearing behind Percy. Within a second Percy was falling to the ground. Eyes closed.

The storm disappeared and so did the green smoke around the campers.

The six gods walked over to Percy's unconscious body. Hpynos having disappeared as soon as his job was done.

Looking down at Percy, they all watched as his hair darkened to its usual raven black.

Apollo knelt down and put his arms under the sleeping god. Holding him like he was a damsel in distress.

"Come up to Olympus," Zeus said, making eye-contact with all the gods present. Including Apollo, who got the uneasy feeling that Zeus could see through his disguise. "We have much to discuss."

They all flashed to Olympus. Except Apollo. He stood there holding Percy. Finally understanding why his name was Perseus. Why it meant the destroyer.

It wasn't a warning from Sally Jackson of what would happen if the gods messed with him. But a telling of his powers. The truly destructive side of him. It was a prophecy from the fates. That if Percy wanted, he could be the destroyer.

What would he destroy?

Well that questions easy. The answer is everything. Everything that did not hold his loyalty.

Loyalty is a powerful thing. Since Perseus is the god of it, he is more powerful than any of the gods had imagined.

He had seen that today. The sheer power of loyalty and the effect it had on the campers.

Apollo just prayed on the Fates knitting needles that he stayed on Percy's good side. It didn't want to know what the consequences were.
