Chapter Sixteen

Poseidon helped Percy flash to Apollo's temple.

His Dad had said that he was only doing it to be sure that any gods wouldn't try to kidnap him (again). Percy felt that the comment was about Hera because Poseidon had glared at the sky after he had said it.

Percy was all for watching the Poseidon vs Hera smack down. Fully confident that his Dad would win.

"Um thanks," Percy said after they had both appeared outside the golden temple.

Poseidon hummed, looking around. An arm protectively around Percy's shoulders.

"You know you can go back home now, I'll just head on inside," Percy said, starting to feel slightly awkward with his father's silence.

"No," Poseidon said firmly. Leaving no room for argument. "I'll stay until Apollo comes. Just to make sure that you won't be ambushed the moment you step inside."

"You're paranoid."

"I'm just thinking of all the possible outcomes."

Percy rolled his eyes, "Well one possible outcome is that it is all perfectly safe and Apollo is inside."

Poseidon obviously chose not to answer. Instead he stepped forward to knock the door before stepping back and resuming his paranoid train of thought.

"Hi, how can I- oh hi love, hello Poseidon," Apollo said answering the door after a few seconds.

Poseidon glared at Apollo before releasing his hold on Percy. "If you break my sons heart, you will never be able to go into any form of water again."

Apollo smiled sheepishly at the sea god. "Good thing I'm not planning on breaking his heart."

Poseidon nodded. Then he pulled Percy into a quick hug and flashed away.

"Your Dad is scary," Apollo stated, opening the door further for Percy to slip inside.

Percy laughed, "You should have heard the speech he gave me before taking me here."

Apollo moved closer to Percy, arms snaking around his waist. "I'm glad I didn't, I wouldn't have been able to look away from you."

"Shut up and kiss me," Percy said, closing the distance between them just as he had finished speaking.

Apollo happily complied. Kissing him back. Pulling him closer. Tilting his head so that he could deepen the kiss.

They didn't break apart for several minutes. Relishing in the fact that neither of them needed to breath. What broke them apart was Apollo pushing Percy against a wall.

Breathing heavily, Percy grinned at the older god, "I missed you."

"It's been a week, surely it hasn't been that bad," Apollo said, leaning down to press gentle kisses along Percy's neck.

Percy groaned, "It was worse." His head fell back against the wall and he closed his eyes. Enjoying the feeling of comfort Apollo gave him just by merely being in his presence. "I felt like all the fun stuff in life had gone away."

Apollo smirked against Percy's neck, "I think you mean hot stuff."

Percy's breathing hitched as Apollo kissed along his jawline, "I guess I do."

"You know, I never did get that 'later' you had promised me," Apollo said, lifting his head. Looking Percy in the eye, waiting for an answer.

"Well then, I know what we could do," Percy said, eyes not changing from red.

Apollo grinned before closing the gap between them again. Crouching down slightly to lift the loyalty god up by the legs. Apollo stood up straight, wrapping Percy's legs around his waist without breaking the kiss. Apollo slammed Percy against the wall again. They broke apart for a second.

"Barry bee," Apollo murmured before kissing him again.

Percy pushed Apollo back and raised an eyebrow. "Barry bee? As in Barry B Benson from the bee movie?"

"Thats not what I said," Apollo said, watching Percy's reactions with a nervous look. It was a look that Percy knew well. A look of expecting rejection.

Percy frowned too, "What did you say then?"

"I said marry me."

Percy's words failed him (as per usual), "Huh?"

"Marry me Perseus. I want to be there with you for the rest of our immortal lives. I want to watch the world change with you. I want to see you freak over buying Christmas presents. I want to experience all the small and unimportant things with you. Because I know that with you there it would be the most important thing in the world. I've been in love with you for thousands of years, why can't we do it again for thousands more. But this time together, not separated by death."

"We're Greek, we don't celebrate Christmas," Percy said, trying to wrap his mind around the fact that Apollo wanted him.

"So is that a yes then?"

"Of course it is sunshine," Percy whispered. Afraid that Apollo would disappear if he spoke too loudly.

Apollo grinned and captured Percy's lips once again. Effectively stealing his breath away.

Percy could swear that Apollo liked doing that way too much. But he could get used to it.

Apollo is a very good kisser.

"EROS!" Anteros yelled at the top of his lungs.

"What happened?" Eros asked running into the living room of his temple.

"I got lonely."

Eros sighed, "Seriously?"

"Yes."

"You have three siblings how do you get lonely?"

"Triton is on a date, Percy is with Apollo, and Kym just disappeared," Anteros listed, counting on his fingers.

"Aww poor you."

"I know," Anteros complained, they he took a second look at Eros. "What are you wearing?"

Eros looked down at himself before deciding to own his 'odd' outfit. He struck a pose, "Amazing, I know."

Anteros face-palmed, "That doesn't answer the question of why you are wearing a hare onesie."

"Excuse you, I look fabulous."

Anteros hummed, loving the love god up and down again. "Are you sure?"

Eros gasped dramatically, "You wound me." He fell to his knees. "Why cruel world? WHY?"

"Get up you dramatic shit, I want to go shopping," Anteros said, walking over to the melodramatic god and offering his hand.

Eros stopped saying about how he could see the light and raised an eyebrow. "I'm listening."

"Good, now put something else on because I'm not walking around with you like that."

"You love me really." Eros now had one arm around Anteros' shoulders. Leaning heavily on the other god.

"Not while you're wearing that."

"Would you prefer me without it?"

"Depends, are you wearing another one underneath?"

"Of course not," Eros said, moving to stand in front of his fellow love god. Arms drapped over his shoulders. "Do you want proof?"

"No Eros, I want to go shopping."

Eros hummed in thought, "Where to?"

"LA? Paris? Dubai? You choose."

"How does my room sound?"

"Are you drunk?"

"No, well maybe a little. I had one drink."

Anteros sighed and thought for a moment.

"Do you want me to get a drink too so we can go shopping?"

"Oh yes," Eros said with a grin. "But do we have to do the shopping part? I can think of something better."

"Eros no, now what were you drinking? I want some."

"Love potion," Eros said.

"Sure you were."

Eros stuck his tongue and jumped up to wrap his legs around Antero's waist. "Onward my noble steed! To the drinks cabinet!"

Anteros muttered about Eros being a dramatic shit but walked over through the doorway to the kitchen of the temple. He was going to get a drink.

He wouldn't be able to get his shopping trip while sober.
