"A Parents Protction"

Just as Hades promksed when Nico awoke his father was right there by his bedside.
The old God had a small table where he sat and there worked by reading over papers and signing a few things.

Nico thought about rolling over and falling asleep but when eh tried to turn he discovered that he had also broken his left arm.

Lovely.

He let out a whince and Hades looked over at the demigod. His face was filled with relief.
"How long have I been out?" Nico asked in a dry voice.
"Three days." Hades sighed he then snapped his fingers and a spirit appeared with a bag witb a golden M on it.

"I got you water because you need to drink it." Hades said helping his son sit up then placing the bag in the counter another spirit appeared with two water bottles.

"Thanks." Nico said to the spirits and his dad.

The spirits then disappeared.

"So you drink your water and eat while I lecture you."

Nico groaned but knew better than to disobey a God.

He began to eat his meal as his father spoke.

"Now young man. You and I both know that Presephone and I are Gods. We can take care of ourselves and while that thing had the power to harm us greatly it could not have killed us. What you did was irresponisble. Do you know how close you were to dying? Those claws had posion in them! His teeth had venom even ambrosia wouldn't be able to heal! Do you understand how wreckless you were being?!"

Nico tried to drown out his dad but when you're in the underworld amd Hades is speaking to you. It's hard to drown him out.

"We are your parents it is our job to protect you. Not the other way around that's why I don't send you on so many quests because you're still a child!"

"I get it dad." Nico said taking a bite of a fry "Don't help you unless you tell me to."

"You obviously don't get it Nico. I don't like loosing children there are far to many down here. Loosing your sister was horrible and I was angry. She doesn't see me a lot in this realm amd I don't blame her. With you I'm trying though as much as I can and I don't want you to die not yet you're to young."

"Where did you learn to block anyway? Where was your shield? Oh that's right you left at the camp when you ran off after getting pissy with Chiron. With Chiron for Purgatory sakes."

"Sir." A voice saod from the doorway. It was a ghost in a doctors coat.
"I'm here to check in the boy so if you could wrap this up before he gives himself another concusion from listening to this that would be nice."

Hades glared at the doctor who didn't even flinch. The doctor was a well friend who was kne of the only female doctors in a male owned society. She knew Hades well and was not afraid of him.

"Alright." Hades said looking at his son.

"Don't do that again."

"I helped you two." Nico sighed "A thanks would be better courtesy."

"We-Well-You." Hades said with slight anger.
"Hades." Another female voice said from the doorway.
The two looked to see the Godess of the spring. She entered the room and stood beside her husband.
"Thank you Nico." She said to him the nuged Hades with her elbow to do the same.
Hades sighed
"Thank you son. Just don't do that again. You scared me."

"I scared the God of Death?" Nico said with ammusement.
"Yes now let the doctor do her chekup."
"You'll need to stay." The Doctor said looking at the clipboard she placed at the end of the boys bed two days ago.

Hades said nothing as he and his wife watched as the checkup began.
