yesterday i talked to the moon,
she told me the stories of pirates and queens,
of the ordinary and the legend,
of the boring and the magical
and as i begged her for more tales
of these mythical destinies,
she replied with burning eyes
that no destiny is ordinary
no life is useless
if we truly take the time
to hear about it

after all, who would notice the moon
if we didn't know the night
and without night, no day
and no sun that inspired
thousands of poets
throughout the centuries
so don't ever denigrate those
whose you don't understand how great,
how needed they are
and how tasteless your life would be
without them by your side

each life by itself can be an adventure
even without magic, kingdoms or quests
you're the only one with the power
to create the life that you want for yourself
it's up to you to choose
how great, inspiring, magical it's gonna be
so don't ever give up
on your incredible destiny,
and since the moon taught me this lesson
i wake up every morning with her words
burning inside my chest with the will
to make each day matter
