Sitting in the garden wasn't all that bad. I was on the cold prickly grass, my feet in the mist of the frigid breeze, fingertips plucking the mini daisies out of the soil putting them on my lap as I watched the sunset in front of me, wide and glorious. I gave a small and restless sigh in a sense of serenity. The warmth of the sun radiated my olive skin. I led down softly looking up to the pastoral sky. You see I like this, I wasn't your average high school girl who tried to fit in with the social circles. I read books, listened to music in headphones, up to date with my studies, highest grader in my class if I say so myself. I was pretty laid back. The time was 7pm and I did this everyday. I watched the light go in to never return, the darkness had already taken over. Then I'd watch the sparkly stars. I'm not boring...honest."Seph...?" I sat up to see my mother at the back door, arms folded and creased. "When are you coming in? It's late." She shouted making her voice echo in the space between us."I'm just watching the stars!" My voice was shrill. I led back down feeling that a few daises rolled off my chest. The air became even more cool and the grass harsh. I was living in my own bubble and I wasn't ashamed.Okay. Don't be long honey." I heard her murmur before the sound of the back door slamming vibrated the ground. Tomorrow I would go to school. Tomorrow I would go back to working hard in all my subjects. When I sit out here I forget all my problems about school. Being a sixteen year old is harder than you think, I have to have friends, the pressures of work and a career while juggling family life. A small sigh escaped my parted lips. Do you ever wonder what everyone is doing? What I mean is, do you wonder what other people are doing right now? Do they have a hard life like mine? Or is it worse? I fiddled with the daisies in my numb fingertips making a few daisy chains which I wrapped around my skinny wrist over and over until it became tight, so it wouldn't become loose. I heaved myself up taking one last glance at the sky before I headed to the back door. I yawned softly locking the back door. Not even talking to my family who were cozied up in the living room, the film starring back at their gomeless faces. I ran up the stairs going into my own room. I got changed into my pj's, my eyes starring at my homework and subject books. I jumped into my bed being plunged into darkness, my head resting on the pillow. Tomorrow is another day. Another hardworking day, and I was dreading it.
