Cememntary of Onbashira

Evening, the time where people relax and prepare themselves to sleep for the day. All their worries are washed away as they sit down and feast on their food before bed.

The Moon begins to rise up. With skies painted pink, orange, purple, and dark blue, the Sun sets.

Evening, the calmest part of day.

Or is it?

---
As a I flew up the Youkai Mountain, I noticed how beautiful the evening sunset was.

All I did was stare at it, with determination in my eyes. I was going to find the Wind Goddess, who went by the name of Kanako Yasaka. I, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden, needed to stop Kanako's plan of gaining faith. It was getting ridiculous.

Grazing by incoming enemies, I became exhausted.

I had already fought two harvest Goddesses, but they weren't so hard to beat. I fought a misfortune goddess, all she did was spin and spin. Was it her ritual to collect misfortune? I may never know. I also fought a Kappa, some weird Tengu girl, and a human of the Moriya Shrine. The green haired Moriya Shrine girl told me to go up to the top of Youkai Mountain, to the Wind God's Lake.

Finally, I made it. The sun had was almost set, and the moon began to shine in the sky, even though there were clouds infront of it.

Pillars of Onbashira surrounded the lake; I found it creepy in a way.

"Alright. I made it to the lake," I sighed. "Well, wherever you are, come on out!"

Suddenly, an aura appeared over one of the Onbashira, and she appeared.

Kanako Yasaka, the Wind Goddess appeared.

"Ah, it's you, the Hakurei Shrine Maiden. What buisness do you have with me tonight?" She said with a loud, confident voice.

"Ugh, why are you so damn loud?" I mumbled to myself. Thank God she didn't have good ears, maybe that's why she shouts so loudly. She would have probably killed me if she heard what I said.

"Hey, listen up. Could you please stop trying to take over my Shrine and gain more faith? All you're doing is causing trouble," I said in a neutral, not loud voice.

"I don't intend to do that, I'm just trying to help save your shrine." she boomed again. I flinched a little, because her voice is way too damn loud!

I sighed. "Listen up, it's none of your buisness. I don't think I'd get more followers anyway if I set you up at my Shrine."

The winds around the lake started to pick up, and Kanako's voice boomed even louder than before.

"Gensokyo lacks faith in Gods. You, a Shrine Maiden, should understand that, right?"

I thought about that for a moment. I do think that it would be nice if more people visted my shrine to worship and donate.

"Hey, I can do this by myself. I don't need help from you or whoever," I said quite loudly.

Kanako's eyes narrowed as she spoke.

"Shrines do not exist to benifit the Shrine Maidens. They exist to be a home for the Gods and Goddesses. Now is the time...for you to reconsider the meaning of a Shrine, young lady!"

Suddenly, danmaku appeared and flashed in all types of different colours. It was a beautiful sight, but I must remember, danmaku is deadly.

I sigh and prepare myself for a danmaku battle.

I guess evening isn't the calmest time of day, after all.
