The sprawling grounds of Isabella's home basked in the night sky casting long shadows across the lush green lawns. Isabella stood in the middle of a large open field, eyes closed, focusing on her breathing. Erik, stood a few feet away, his intense gaze fixed on her.
"Focus, Isabella. Feel the energy within you. Harness it; don't let it control you," Erik instructed, his voice calm yet commanding.
"I can do this. I know I can," Isabella whispered, taking a deep breath.
Erik watched as Isabella's eyes began to glow with their usual mix of gold and white. A shimmering force field started to form around her, the air crackling with energy. She extended her hands, and the field expanded, creating a protective bubble.
"Good. Now, try to push the field out further. Make it larger, stronger," Erik encouraged, nodding approvingly.
Isabella furrowed her brow in concentration, her hands trembling slightly as she pushed her energy outward. The force field grew, shimmering more brightly, encompassing a larger area.
"It's... harder than it looks," she admitted, her voice strained.
"Power requires control. You're doing well. Now, let's try something different." Erik stepped closer, his eyes locked onto hers. He raised his hand, and several large metal objects—discarded parts from a previous training session—lifted into the air around them.
"I want you to move these objects with your force field. Guide them, but do not touch them. Use your mind," Erik instructed.
Isabella nodded, her glowing eyes flicking to the floating objects. She extended her hand, and the force field shifted, pushing the metal parts gently through the air. One by one, they began to orbit around her, moving in a controlled, circular pattern.
"I'm doing it!" Isabella exclaimed, a smile spreading across her face.
"Yes, you are. Now, let's take it a step further. I want you to lift yourself off the ground. Use the same energy you use for the force field," Erik said, his tone firm yet encouraging.
Isabella's smile faded slightly, replaced by a look of uncertainty. "Lift myself? I've never done that before."
"You can do it. Trust in your power. Trust in yourself," Erik reassured her.
Isabella closed her eyes again, focusing on the energy coursing through her. She felt the force field around her, the power of the stars within her. Slowly, she directed that energy downward, imagining it lifting her off the ground.
At first, nothing happened. She furrowed her brow in concentration, beads of sweat forming on her forehead. Then, she felt it—a lightness, a shift. Her feet began to lift off the ground, just an inch at first, then a few more. She gasped, opening her eyes to see the ground moving away from her.
"I'm... flying?" Isabella's voice was breathless with awe.
"Yes, you are. Now, control it. Don't let fear take over. You are in control," Erik said, smiling slightly.
Isabella hovered a few feet off the ground, her force field shimmering around her. She wobbled slightly, her eyes wide with both awe and fear.
"It's... it's incredible. But I don't know if I can keep it up," she admitted, her voice wavering.
"You can. Remember, power requires control. Focus on maintaining the energy flow. Trust in your abilities," Erik steadied her with his words.
Taking a deep breath, Isabella steadied herself. She focused on the energy within her, on the force field that supported her. Gradually, she began to rise higher, her confidence growing with each passing second.
"I'm doing it. I'm really doing it!" she exclaimed, her face lighting up with excitement.
"Yes, you are. Now, let's see how far you can go," Erik challenged, his eyes shining with pride.
With Erik's guidance, Isabella continued to rise, her newfound ability to fly becoming stronger and more controlled. She soared above the field, feeling the wind in her hair, and the stars on her face. For the first time, she truly understood the extent of her powers and the limitless possibilities they held.
As she descended back to the ground, she landed gracefully, her force field dissipating. She looked at Erik, her eyes still glowing with excitement and gratitude.
"Thank you, Erik. I couldn't have done it without you," she said, her voice genuine.
"You always had the power, Isabella. You just needed to believe in it," Erik replied, a rare smile softening his features.
With a sense of confidence and control she had never felt, Isabella knew that this was only the beginning of her journey. The stars had always been her source of power, and now, she felt closer to them than ever before.
