Chapter 4

Tanvi's pov:

Me & Dev both got well settled in the couch present in my room.

" Don't stress out , relax", l heard Dev's caring voice.

I directly saw his dark and deep ocean eyes which were too beautiful. I was getting attracted towards him like a magnet.

" I am Dev Oswal", he said casually introducing himself by breaking the ice between us.

So his real name is Dev and nick name is Devo. I mentally made a note of it.

" I am Tanvi Singhania", I replied softly.

" You are looking breathtaking mesmerizing. Actually red colour suits you" , he gave compliment to me which was enough to errupt an enormous butterfly to fly in my stomach.

What is happening to me?

"We met before accidentally", I replied

" Yeah but it was an unofficial. I mean maybe you didn't know about me", Dev said which was correct. I never had such idea in my mind.

" Your kind off, I didn't had any idea about the marriage did you knew about me" , I asked him instantly eagerly waiting for his answer.

He nodded his head for the confirmation

" I was the one who had send you good morning message and one who returned your dance competition registration form", he revealed

I was shocked and stunned by his declaration. I rightly looked down feeling embarrassed. Wow my first impression got ruined.

" It's okay, no problem", he certitude me

" I am MD of Oswal Group and Industries.

" I am an economics professor working in the star light college. I like to dance . Reading and writing stories are my hobbies. Sometimes l cook too", I don't know what to say more. The questions which I had prepared long back, they are all washed off from my mind. I really don't know what I need to ask him currently.

He was trying read my eyes.

"I am a boy who never dated anyone in my life although I got proposal from many beautiful girls but I declined them. I always wanted my future wife to be replica of my Grandma , my mother and sister-in-law. I never felt any connection from any other girls except one".

I looked at him hearing the last sentence. I was expecting an answer. His next sentence made me blush like anything.

" Except one that is you", he said lovingly. He futher continued, " I never believed in love at first sight but when I saw your photo given by the mom. I instantly liked a simple look with no artificial make up then we met in the road and those messages. I started missing you so much. You developed a beautiful place in my heart. It is 'Yes ' from my side. I respect your decision", he smiled quietly. He was honest.

Dev's  revelation made my heart warm. He like me? Is it a dream ? I mean he said yes to the marriage. One side of my heart was happy & contented with it.

We both talked about our past , present and future. I was enjoying his company. I think I was sure any girl will be lucky to get marry with him. He has everything which any girls desire for.

" You didn't ask me anything ? Do you want to know more things about me?" ,he asked me

I shaked my head as no gesture. "Whatever I wanted to know you reveled everything ", I said while he directly looked in my eyes.

"I think we should leave now everyone must be waiting for us" , I said while he nodded . We both went down towards our family.

This time he was walking in front of me while I was behind. Suddenly he stopped in the middle which made me frown.

" I want to walk beside you. You will never walk behind instead step with me. I want to walk with you hand in hand in every way in our future", he said from within, maybe directly from his heart.

He is truly an amazing soul.

Dad saw me and came near me. While Dev went near to his eldest brother.

" Did you asked everything whatever your heart wanted to ask? How is the man ? Do you like him? " , asked my dad curiously.

" Dad, he is like you", I said with a smile while he gave me a side hug.

" So you want to get marry with him?", again dad asked me this question.

Am I ready for this pure relation marriage? Is he is the one? He will become the best husband in future? Myraids questions were running in my mind.

" I need some time daddy", I said slowly while dad nodded.

Oswal family were waiting eagerly  for the answer. Dad came near to them .

" Actually me and Payal like Dev so much. Tanvi is just confused with her feelings. We will let you know Tanvi's answer very soon ", my dad said patiently

Gita, mother of Dev smiling face faded away. Maybe she was expecting an answer yes from me.

" No problem Raj, we will wait for Tanvi's answer. I was just worried for Dev. He was as curious as fish", Jayesh uncle said while lighting the atmosphere

" I think now we should leave", Gita aunty said while my family nodded.

As soon as Oswal family left my mom glared at me.

" What mom ? why are you in anger state? ", I raised my eyebrows towards her.

" What is this Tanu? Dev was such an amazing guy. How come you didn't give your answer ?", mom was upset with me

" Mom marriage is all about the entire life. I just met the guy few minutes ago. How can I decide if it's the right choice for me? I just need few time", I kept my point of view.

" Yes mom di is right. How come she decide the future in just few minutes?", Tanaya too supported me.

" Okay as your wish but try to give the answer as early as possible", mum said and went in her room.

Dev's pov :

We  had reached Singhania's mansion. In the window I found someone staring at me from long distance. Maybe the person is Tanvi. I just shrugged off my thoughts and went inside.

After few minutes later ,  my angel clad in the red saree came in the living room. She sat opposite to me. I was doing my favourite job that is staring at my love. love is a heavy word. It's too early to describe or use this word.

My family liked Tanvi very much. They asked few questions to her while she is said everything patiently. Mom and sister in law were busy teasing Tanvi. Her cheeks automatically turned into pink or red shade.

Me and Tanvi went to her bedroom to have a private talk in her room. It was simple yet beautiful. I observed green plants were present in the balcony and maximum books were covered in the left side of the wall. It seems my lady loves to read novels.

I started the conversation. I could feel and check out that she was feeling very nervous. Sweat covered her face. she was rubbing her palms frequently. The situation was same for her as well as me but she was getting more nervous than me.

She wanted to ask many things but couldn't say anything. I was observing and reading her eyes. It was shining like stars. I said everything about myself to her. Finally revealed that I like her. She was quite shocked with  it. She wanted time and I respect her decision. It was completely love at first sight for me but I was waiting for her answer.

Suddenly my phone buzzed up, l came back in from my dream world to the present sense. Someone is calling me. It was Tanu's call. Yes I changed the name ' Tanvi Singhania' to 'Tanu' with the heart emoji displayed in it .

" Hello", I heard her soft and melodious voice.

" Hi ", I replied back

" Had your dinner? ", Tanu asked.

" Yeah just 15 minutes ago. What about you? ", l asked her

" I too had dinner just now. What about uncle aunty? ".

" They are all good and had their dinner"

"They are disappointed on me? ", l heard her dull & worried voice.

" Not at all, They can understand your feeling Tanvi".

It was pin drop of silence . We both were quest of words . For decreasing the awkwardness I asked her.

" Any problem? I mean to you want to say anything you called me up now in the night time", I asked her to break the ice between us.

" Yeah I.....actually ......time .......I ", Tanu was fumbling with her words

" Calm down take your long breathe and speak up everything. Don't get nervous. You can share everything with me", I gave her assurance.

" Actually the thing is I want time. I mean marriage is a big thing for me...for us. It will decide our future. Just spending few minutes can't decide our entire life.

" Yeah l agree your point Tanu....I mean Tanvi".

" You can call me Tanu", I smiled at her statement.

Wow Tanu wants to spend time with me. This is such an amazing thing.

" So Tanu there is no pressure from my side. You can take as much time you want".

I was already overheads and years for Tanu I can even wait for my entire life for Tanu's answer.

" I want to know you Dev, you are truly honest person. My parents adore you  I want to give this relation a chance but afraid of commitment. I mean I don't know whether I will be perfect wife or a perfect daughter in law...I" , relax my Tanu, just relax.

" Take long breath Tanu, you should try meditation. It will give you peace & calm down your mind"

Tanvi chuckled while l smirked.

" Firstly we will become friends then we will take time for each other. We will try to spend some quality time then will decide your future, okay ?", I asked hoping for an answer.

" Yeah cool, let's meet tomorrow ?"

" Yup in the evening, I will pick you up directly from the college".

' You know my college address?, she ask me for the confirmation.

" Yes I do, how come I will not know anything about you.

" Hmm", she replied

" So....good night"

" Yeah good night and have a sweet dreams of me" , Tanu said while I chuckled

This girl is really crazy

Tanvi's pov:

Finally I decided everything and said everything to Dev. Now I am feeling better. I do believe on my parents choice but I am afraid of commitments. It seems Dev is a kind and humble person who understand my mind & insecurity  very soon.

For the first time when he called Tanu I really felt happy from bottom of my heart. I am liking this type the feeling.

Knock....knock.....I heard knocking sound of my door , Tanaya came inside my room.

" Yeah Tanaya? "

" Actually di, don't take tension. If Dev is not perfect match for you then it's not necessary to marry him. I mean it's your life, your choice after all your decisions", I think Tanaya was running in the wrong platform.

" Dear l like Dev as a person. I didn't rejected him. I only need some time", I kept my words in front of Tanaya.

" Ah....ah...l mean take it easy. Relax take your time. Maybe Dev is not a correct person for you", Tanaya again said making me frown.

" Let it be Tanaya, tomorrow me and Dev are going to meet after College. We are thinking to spend some quality time with each other", I said to  Tanaya softly

" What you guys are going for a date?", Tanaya shouted suddenly.

" Why are you shouting Tanaya? Anything wrong ?", I enquired.

" No...no... I mean....I just....I think Dev  is not a perfect match for you", Tanaya said and went.

I don't know why a Tanaya's words gave me negative energy. I shrugged the thoughts off. I bid a good bye to moon and I stumbled into deep sleep.

Next morning is waiting for me.
