Chapter 7-A Strange World
Being let out of the murder ward was strange for them.
They got to go out for one thing, and even though they knew perfectly well that the other inhabitants knew what they were, they didn't treat them like outsiders.
"We're all insane. Some are just more broken than others."
The conferences were...stressful. The new guy seemed to delve into every little aspect about them from their past to how they liked their coffee.
It was stranger than being let out of the murder ward.
It had only been a week since they were set free.
His friends didn't believe him when they asked about Ink. So he tried to ask Ink again in front of his friends, but Ink gave a different...response. His eyes narrowed into white slits and told him to back off.
Screw sleep I guess.
They were now trying a new activity. It was basically group therapy, except it was being supervised by camera. Everyone sat in a circle, sharing what they had been through.
Even if they knew they were being watched, it felt nice sharing it with people they knew would understand.
Everyone shared at least a bit of their past.
Error had pixlexia and frequently had psychotic episodes.
Dust had abusive parents who he killed along with his brother, trying to commit suicide a while later, to set himself "free" from them.
Killer was forced to kill his family lest he die.
Horror was made fun of for being fat, and became anorexic. When his bullies crept up on him, hunger and madness took over his sanity and killed his bullies, eating them.
Nightmare was the least favorite child and was bullied at home and outside of home. He tried a magic spell that ended him turning into this.
Sci was a scientist who did human experimentation, killing about 20 children including his brother.
Blue was sent there for being too innocent and trusting. He once got kidnapped and tortured, but said in all honesty that he forgave his tormentors.
Ink was there because of a soul defect, but refused to say what.
Dream was there because he was a schizophrenic and had golden child syndrome. His parents turned him into "the golden kid" and ignored the mental health problems that came with it.
Fell was there for being a robber who stole at first to live, then for want. He was rude and edgy because he felt like that was the one thing he had against the world.
Only Cross didn't share, which they were perfectly fine with.
Overall, a good day, even if it was a bit strange.
