Well I'm just trying to improve my writing skills... Hoping that the plot has not been written!!

Shehnaaz a 17 year old girl recently shifted to Mumbai with her family. Shehnaaz was a girl who craved for love which her parents couldn't fulfill. She loved to be pampered but she didn't even get P of pampering.

Well shehnaaz lived with her mama and mami for exactly 4 years which means from the age of 12 to 16 when her parents with his brother was living in Germany. Shehnaaz was tortured and got no love except for criticism and hatred.

While she stayed with her mama and mami..she lost one thing and that was emotions. Shehnaaz no more had emotions with her. All fake laugh and smiles.

She would fake around the world like she's the happiest and who would know that a girl with such a fake big smile has gone through hell. She had friends no doubt but you know friends always don't prove to be loyal. Same was with shehnaaz..they were friends with benefits umm benefits like giving parties in canteen...always paying for food... getting gifts n all sorts of things a teenager could get

To be more precise It's almost been an year since shehnaaz cried.
The first month was all love with her mama mami but from the beginning of the second month it all started to turn bitter and then sour and now it was just living.

The first month was all happiness with her cousins. Shehnaaz being a naughty one was always ahead in pranking. Be it at school or at home. She was expert in pranking without getting caught.

Well when shehnaaz was in class 9 she fell for a guy..ahh infatuation which she thought yo be love. Now that guy was 4 years elder to her but left her in 6 months. (n before you ask me where they met let's keep it up for upcoming chapters)

She just couldn't feel any emotions and she was not even for sorry for herself of the way she was treated by her mama and mami. If they would give food she would eat and if not she would sleep empty stomach.

Shehnaaz was used to their cold behaviour and because of their cold behaviour she became cold.

She sighed thinking about her life...kaha se kaha aa gayi..from punjab to Mumbai it's been a long journey.

Sidharth a 20 year medical student is a nerd and totally a mumma's boy. He has a younger sister named Naina who is 17 and she is also preparing for medicals just like his brother. Well they both have a single parent just their mom. After his father's death his mother joined a school and earned pretty much well to fulfill the basic needs of her children. And talking about sidharth he's a nerd but Aah no not typical nerd.. he's mischievous ofcourse and has been in love when he was 15 "trrruuuee love" which he thought was. Sadly the girl left after 10th for her higher studies. And sidharth was heartbroken.

After his heart break he neglected his studies infact he just couldn't come out of this due to which his results in class 11 mid terms was average which was not only shocking for the teachers but also his classmates. He is and was always a topper but the sudden fall in his studies made Everyone worried because " ladka bada ho raha " and his mother thought that he is into something bad.

One day his mother asked him what's wrong are you into drugs or anything? Why are your grades going low? To which he just cried and said she does not love me mom. She left me and his mother sighed in relief.

Bacha what you're saying love is..is actually not love but infatuation. Love encompasses a range of strong and positive emotional and mental states, from the most sublime virtue or good habit, the deepest interpersonal affection and to the simplest pleasure. Love is considered to be a positive and negative: with its virtue representing human kindness, compassion, and affection, as "the unselfish loyal and benevolent concern for the good of another"

And according to your definition of what you saying is love is nothing but infatuation. This is a very quick attraction that feels like it hits you over the head. As soon as you see this person, you are already fantasizing about your future together without knowing anything about them. You already believe that things are going to work out for the both of you based on appearances only. It is automatically filling in the blanks for that person and hoping that things will work out the way you want. It's just a mere attraction between two people who thinks it's love. You know in this attraction which people think to be love people cross their lines and then regret it later.

Now you understand the difference between love and infatuation..she asked caressing his hair.

Well to be honest sidharth understood only half of what his mother said because he still to have loved her no not loved her but *loves her*

You know sidharth many girlfriends will come n go likewise for girls many boyfriends will come n go what remains is your knowledge and your passion for your career. Don't distract yourself and don't compromise your studies for a girl. I didn't know my boy was a cry baby. C'mon now cheer up and start focussing again.

Well To say for a 16 year boy to understand this was a tough job but this boy was sidharth so he understood what his mom was trying to say and after this session of mom n son he was not only motivated but his focus was back and this time no distractions. He cleared the NEET exams in his first attempts and also got many college outside mumbai but he chose to go with AIIMS MUMBAI as his college so that he could stay with his mom.

He had all the good qualities a son could have just 1 bad quality he started smoking because of the frustration in studies. He needed to smoke to focus in his studies.

Well ofcourse for a 20year child he would hide n smoke n luck being in his favour he has not been caught in these 2 years.

Coming to the present day SIDHARTH'S mom saw that the vacant flat beside her was now filled. She was indeed happy that she will have a company now seeing a family.

However she couldn't control her excitement amd went to knock there door to ask if they needed some help.

The door opened and she saw shehnaaz at the door.

Namaste aunty ji she greeted with a smile in her soft voice

Namaste beta.. actually you all have shifted here..so just came to ask you all need some help? Tea coffe or anything..because kitchen toh set nahi hua hoga

Just as shehnaaz was about to answer she heard her mom's voice asking who's at the door to which she replied neighbour.

Shehnaaz mom came forward n greeted her where SIDHARTH'S mother said that she will send lunch at their place amd dinner they will have together.

Firstly shehnaaz mother denied but agreed after so much insisting of her new neighbour.

Punjab was really suffocating for me. Thank god my father decided to start his extended business here. I don't know why but this place gives me peace. I feel happy here..oh I'm really happy here...I didn't know what happiness felt like in past years. But as soon as I landed here it felt like I got my life back.

I really miss my school friends but not punjab..I can't look back anymore..not now and never.

And neighbour aunty is so good. She said she has a daughter of the same age and a son who is elder and is studying medical.

SIDHARTH'S mom left and started preparing for lunch.. knowing that the neighbours are punjabi she cooked mainly punjabi dishes for her neighbour.
(And for those who are confused that she is a teacher how is she home.. it's weekend)

In the afternoon lunch was sent by SIDHARTH'S mom through her daughter naina. Naina rang the bell and was again welcomed by shehnaaz.

Heyy..hie I'm naina shukla..umm naina she said forwarding her hand for a handshake

Hie I'm shehnaaz kaur..umm shehnaaz she said forwarding her hand for the handshake. You can call me sana though..come inside.

Ahh no next time pukka I just came to give you lunch.. actually I have my coaching class now..will see you at the dinner today. Bye

Shehnaaz and her mother was setting the room like unpacking the stuffs where in her father was cleaning and dusting.

They had lunch together sitting on the floor...as the furnitures were still to be set. They had a peaceful lunch and to say about the food...the food was delicious. And why not it was cooked and served with love n only love.

They again started unpacking and finished setting one room by evening and by 8 they unpacked and settled the furnitures like the dining table, sofa set and television and set half of the kitchen

Well shifting is a really tough job. And to arrange things in a day is very tough

They were happy that atleast the necessary things were set up. They were relaxing when the door bell rung.

Well the other side of the story (I mentioned above it's weekend so it's Saturday)

Sidharth came home by 5 and saw his mother watching a Punjabi recipe

He said maa you trying something new..?

Oh beta you came...yes trying new..you know the next flat that was empty now we have a neighbour and they are a Punjabi..bade hi cute log hai n uski beti so beautiful

Toh mai kya karu mom unko beti beautiful toh jake pata lu?

Sidharth what is this? This is not the way beta.

Mom mai itna thak aaya n you praising a new girl na khana na how was your day..just praising. He made a grumpy face and left for his room

Uff ye ladka bhi na..iska kuch nahi ho sakta. She shouted n said they are coming for dinner so please don't make be Dr sadu.. freshen up and come have some snacks.

Sidharth came in the dining hall and had soke snacks and small chit chat session with his mom. Ofcourse a small chit chat her mom was busy searching punjabi dishes.

Mom aap raho busy..mai ja raha hu terrace pe mom...he went there took out a cigarette..pressed it against his lips and lit it.

He was smoking and girls were drooling over him. Ughh the popular guy in the society because gives heed to none. Ofcourse he's a flirt sometimes but sometimes. Living in a society with a family he can't risk his image.

So until n unless the girls don't approach him he does not talk. Like once when he was in 11th there was a birthday party in the society club. Many beautiful girls were there in the party but he dared not look up ugghh because pehle society ki aunties n the next his mom. No risk at all. He ate and came back home wishing the girl happy birthday.

While he was smoking shehnaaz came on the terrace looked at the sky for five minutes and started walking at the end of the terrace where she saw him smoking and she just couldn't control himself so she said.. "smoking is injurious to health". She didn't see him she just said and started leaving. Hearing this He could not help but smile.

He turned back just to see who was there..but she turned and he could only see her back. She left and went to her flat.

And may be for the first time in his life he crushed the half cigarette. He sprayed mouth freshner and sanitized his hands and went down after 10 minutes.

Soon it was dinner time and naina went out to call them out for dinner.

All of them settled at the table and sidharth was introduced because the mother daughter duo had already bonded well.

Sidharth and shehnaaz passed a sly smile to eachother both thinking that was he the one smoking and the other was she the one who stopped me from smoking.

Sidharth's mom asked shehnaaz so beta what next you gonna opt for ?

To which she said aunty commerce kyuki bio to mere bs truck sab se bahar hai and with that she laughed making everyone laugh.

Aree aisa abhi bhi tujhe lagta ki tu 1% bhi bio le sakti.. talk to my son he will guide you naina ko bhi usi ne guide kiya no pressure ofcourse but sochne me bura kya hai..hai na?

Ummm ji aunty..sure sure

Naina and shehnaaz were talking and laughing having food when the fook choked in shehnaaz's throat and she started coughing and her eyes filled with tears

Sidharth got up and started patting her back and said dheeme dheeme breathe... don't pressurise breathing

Calm down thik hai thik hai...you're fine here drink a bit water

She drank water better now?

Umm yeah thank you!!

Now please without talking have your food...you can have your gala time after dinner. He said it in utter dominant voice.

N ofcourse who does not listen to sidharth shukla?

Everyone had dinner in peace just a bit chit chat between their parents praising food.

Naina and shehnaaz exchanged number and shehnaaz saved the number as "Neighbour Naina

The dinner was done and just a chit chat session where sidharth's mom said shehnaaz to come tomorrow and have a session about which subject to choose from his son.

Okay okay this is it for now? Tolerable is it? Boring? What?

Well this is it for now...tell me how was it!! Just trying my hands again on short stories!!
