How do you ask your friends for help in a sneaky way?
Simple-- establish a code system. Have one for 'period', 'I need some feminine products', 'pardon my grumpiness, IT'S here', etc.
Whatever you need, work out! You'll never have to explain yourself in awkward terms in front of others.
Unless your friends forget or don't agree... Which would be a right old shame indeed.
