It's Prom For Christ Sake

3rd person POV

selene woke up the next morning and ate breakfast before they looked at their phone and noticed a text from tory

'so there's a prom' she texted and selene smiled

'is there? i didn't notice' they responded sarcastically and they chuckled

'are you going?' tory asked

'yeah with hawk and demetri, they don't have a date' they stated and they almost felt tory sigh

'are you going?' they now asked tory

'i don't have a date' tory said and selene sighed as they went upstairs and got dressed

'i can ditch hawk and demetri and we can go together' they suggested

'i don't think they'd be okay with that' tory replied and selene sighed

'probably not , i have to go but i'll see you later bye tory :)' they responded and they put their phone on their counter as they changed and then looked at beetle

"you can't come with me, sorry buddy" they said and beetle barked

"i have to get dressed and go get things done. i'll see you later bud" they exclaimed and they got up as they looked at the time and sighed

"let's go do this" selene said to themselves and they left the house as they drove to salon and walked in

"hi i'm here for an appointment for blackburn" they said and the man looked up

"right this way miss blackburn" he said and he brought them over to the chair as they stared at themself in the mirror

"so what are we doing for you today?" he asked and selene looked up at him

"just retouching the white" they stated and he nodded as he got to work

after a while, he got done and then they stared at themself in the mirror with a smile

"i love it" they said and they got up and paid , they then left and drove to the nail salon where their nails got painted black with tints of white.

they drove back home and changed into their outfit as they now
realized what time it was. they sat down at the bench of their mirror and started to put on their makeup

they put on their jewelry and looked over themselves with a smile before they nodded

"let's go do this" selene said and they drove to hawks as they picked them up

"wow you look wow, tory's gonna be stunned" demetri said and selene smiled

"i don't even know if she's coming" selene spoke as hawk got in the front and demetri got in the back but sat in the middle

"doesn't matter you look amazing" hawk stated and they smiled at him

"PROM BABY WOO" demetri yelled and they both laughed as selene started the car and drove there. they quickly got out and walked in as selene grabbed them drinks

"dude, this sucks" hawk said and selene sighed as they sipped their punch and nodded

" Prom without a date it's like Halloween with No candy. There's no point." Hawk stated

" Well I mean at least we're not the only ones in for a boring night. I heard Logan wangs after party got canceled. His little brother got in some middle school fight" Demetri said and selene shrugged

" That's supposed to make us feel better? That everyone else's name is ruined?" Hawk asked

"i'd rather not capitalize other people misery" selene exclaimed

" OK well it's literally the definition of misery loves company" demetri retorted

"demetri" someone called and they all looked to see yasmine

" Oh my Jessica rabbit what are you doing here?" Demetri asked and selene smiled

" I just flew in" yasmine said and selene looked away as hawk did too

"come on let's go dance" she exclaimed

"yes my queen. i gotta " demetri said and selene shoved him as hawk looked at moon and then they looked at the entrance to see tory walking in with robby on her arm

"oh" selene said and tory made eye contact before looking down at their shoes

"you okay?" hawk asked and selene nodded

"yeah yeah i'm alright" selene spoke and then they looked up to see max standing there staring at her. he was wobbly and looked uncomfortable

"selene she's staring" hawk said and tory made eye contact with selene again before she walked over and held out her hand

"dance with me?" tory asked and selene looked at hawk as he shrugged and selene nodded as they grabbed tory's hand and walked to the dance floor as they started to dance and noticed the stares

"ignore them" tory said and selene nodded as they continued to dance until the song ended and they looked around again

"i should head back to robby, he's the one who told me ask you. you know even after you beat the shit out of him, he still cares about you for some reason" tory exclaimed

"i wish that i could care about him the way i used but it's hard tory" they stated

"what's the difference between me and robby?" tory asked

"it's hard to tell you tory, there's just a difference" selene said and they kept dancing together

"you're a good dancer" tory said

"thanks, my dad and me used to dance in the kitchen together before you know he picked up and chose the navy over me" they stated and they leaned their head against tory's shoulder as tory laid her head on them

"i'm sorry for choosing cobra kai over you but i can't help it sel" she said and selene shrugged

"it's fine tory, we chose our sides" selene said and they lifted their head

"are they still looking?" tory asked

"i don't care and neither should you" selene stated and tory nodded

"i don't" tory said and selene smiled gratefully before the prom was over and they left to stingrays. selene drove hawk and robby drove tory before they left and went there

"moons not coming" hawk said as they sat on the couch and selene shrugged before they watched him kick the neighbor and selene smiled

"as badass as i remember" selene said and tory met up with them and they walked out back to see sam waiting

"seems like you're always behind me in line. First Miguel no Robby and selene. I have a half-eaten cupcake if you want it" sam said and selene sighed

"it's prom for christ's sake" selene groaned

" You know, I'd kick your ass, but i promised your mom i wouldn't" tory retorted and sam kicked tory as selene backed away and they started to fight and selene way her as they continued

"this is the only time i will ever with you and be on your side" selene said and miguel ran out as they started to fight

"why are you doing this selene?" miguel asked and selene shrugged

"sam started it miguel" they exclaimed as they continued before they fell into the pool and selene looked at tory

"hi" tory whispered and selene smiled

"hi" selene said back and tory raised her hand as she put it on the side of selenes hand and leaned in. their lips connected and selene smiled against her lips as they continued to kiss each other in the pool

they got out of the pool and they walked to the car as they got in and drove to the park. selene looked at the sky as they turned their head to tory and made eye contact again

tory leaned in again as they kissed and she climbed into their lap as they sat there kissing. selene was happy here , comfortable here but that usually changes

they didn't care though if they were happy there in that moment , that's all they cared about
