Chapter Eight
A Little Birdie Told Me...

3rd Person POV

selene went home that night with a bruised cheek and a bloody lip as well as bloody nose but the person who attacked them was much worse. they definitely tell someone that "they should see the other person"

selene groaned as they laid down and looked around. they didn't want to go to the hospital, they didn't need too and they didn't want to. they were tried of the hospital and the justice system

their probation officer could not know about this. they stared at the ceiling before they fell asleep and woke up at 6:00 in the morning and got ready for school

they changed their clothes and looked down at beetle who was laying on the floor and leaned down as they ran their hand over his head

"let me clean this blood off my face and then i'll take you for a walk buddy" they said and they stood up as they walked to their bathroom and grabbed a washcloth

"asshole got me good" they spoke to themselves as they wet the washcloth and ran it over their face. they wiped off the blood and stared into the mirror at themselves

"get it together selene you're better than this" they stated and they put the wash cloth down as they walked out of the bathroom and over to beetle

"let's go on that run bee" they said and they put him on his leash before they left the house

they started to walk but they were stopped suddenly

"selene blackburn right?" someone called and they turned slowly to see kreese

"yeah and who are you?" they questioned and he chuckled under his breathe as he walked over and beetle growled

"oh he doesn't like me" kreese said and he stepped back as beetle stopped growling and sat in front of selene

"he doesn't like people he thinks are creepy getting close to me" they said and he laughed

"i'm creepy?" he asked and they nodded

"yeah you're a man and you're old and you're creepy, didn't you know my dad" they said and kreese smiled

"so you do know who i am?" he questioned and selene scoffed

"of course i so, you're psychotic and you turned my best friend crazy" they said and he shook his head

"you know you're true cobra kai material" he said and selene shook their head

"maybe johnnys cobra kai but not yours.." they led off

" a little birdie told me that you left johnny lawrence" he said and they scoffed

"fucking tory" they exclaimed and he nodded smugly

"you really did trust her didn't you? she turned her back on you selene and you can turn your back on her. join me and show her that you're better than she ever will be" he said and selene shook their head

"like i'm that idiotic, no way" they spoke and he shrugged

"just think about it selene, i helped your dad" and selene broke

"my dad hates you and so do i . you didn't help him at all now either i let go of beetle and he attacks the shit out of you or you walk away unscathed and never talk to me again" they said and he scoffed

"you don't hate me, you hate the way i think" he said and they shrugged

"i hate you and the way you speak and the way you think and the way you act . i hate how you changed my best friend and i hate that you act all big and mighty when i could kick your old ass in two second. i hate you and every single part of you" they said and they looked down at beetle

"let's go boy, don't want to contaminate you more" they stated and they pulled away

"i'll be seeing you" he called and they threw their middle finger up in the air at him

"don't count on it" they called back as they walked away form him and continued until they got to the apartment and looked into johnny's

"oh this is so cute" they said and they walked in as they looked at miguel who was on the floor

"are you writing a novel?" miguel asked johnny and selene chuckled

"yeah buddy, who are you telling your life story too?" they asked and they sat down as beetle licked miguel's face and he smiled

"it's a facebook message to ali" he said and selene eyebrows rose

"ali? the ali? this is huge. this is huge! but i mean you're not going to send that right?" miguel said

"yeah you can't send that. it's like a book" selene said and johnny scoffed

"i have like 35 years of things to tell her selene" he said and they shrugged

"okay so ask her out , go on a date and tell her everything don't send this. this is horrifying, this will scare her away" they stated

"and how do you know?" he asked and selene looked at miguel as they both scoffed

"max did the same thing, he always had too much to say and never let me speak. don't send a book, it'll only push them away" selene said and miguel agreed

"yeah it's almost like if you liked all of her photos" miguel said and selene turned to johnny slowly

"oh god johnny please tell me you didn't" they said and he sighed

"we have got a lot of work to do. we need pictures and make you kick ass account. show us your photos" they said and he nodded

"don't move. ha! i said don't move" johnny said to miguel and selene stifled a laugh

"hey sel" miguel asked and they turned to him

"yeah?" they said

"what's the bruise from?" he questioned as he ran his thumb over the bruise and they sighed

"i um a fight" they stated and he sighed

"with who?" he asked

"cobra kai" they whispered

"and who did this?" he continued

"hawk, but he almost broke demetris arm and i had to save him miggy it was only right" they said and he nodded

"was tory there?" he begged

"of course she was" they scoffed

" i thought you two were getting close" he said and they shrugged as they nodded

"yeah i did too but it was all a lie.a stupid dumb ignorant lie"
they stated and he shrugged before johnny walked in and looked a them

"will these work?" he asked and he handed it to them as selene made eye contact with miguel and they looked at the pictures together

"johnny do you have any where you wearing a shirt by any chance?" selene asked in the nicest way possible

"how's that?" he asked

"yeah we're definitely going to take new photos of you" selene said and miguel nodded

"i agree, something more contemporary" miguel suggested

"we'll look at what ali's into, take pictures of me doing the same stuff" johnny said

"oh my lord" selene said and johnny nodded

"alright let's go do this" johnny said and he left the building with miguel and selene following him , until selene felt their phone ring in their pocket

"one sec" selene said and they walked away from them

"hello?" they answered

"selene please give me one second" tory said and selene scoffed

"never in a million years" they said and they walked away with miguel and johnny as they smiled and then went to the sushi shop

"selene" tory said and selene sighed as they looked up

"what?" they asked and tory sighed as she looked at miguel and johnny got up

"i'm going to wash my mouth out" johnny said and they nodded

"how did you know i worked here?" she asked and selene shrugged as they turned away

"selene please" tory said and they turned their head to her as they scoffed

"tory if i hadn't stopped hawk, i don't know what would have happened , we're friends and i trusted you. can we talk about this later?" they asked looking around in annoyance

"yeah just wait here for me after work please" she asked and selene shrugged

"please" tory said

"yeah i'll be there" selene stated before miguel shrugged and tory looked at him one last time

"you like her" miguel said and selene snapped their head to him

"i barely know her" they stated and he shrugged

"doesn't matter, you like her and she likes you. you don't hate her, you're just hurt" he exclaimed

"yeah i guess" they said and he smiled

"i'm not mad at you, if you're happy then i'm happy. you've always deserved better then hawk and max" he said

and they did deserve better but was tory the better they needed?
