Chapter One
Do You Hate Me?

3rd Person POV

selene stared miguel on the bed as they sat on the chair next to his bed and waited. they felt horrible, they had a chance to stop it and make it so nothing would've happened and now miguel was on the bed and selene felt horrible

"hi" sam spoke and they looked up to see her standing there

"do you hate me?" sam asked and selene stood up as they shook their head in confusion, the white strand sticking out

"what? no, you were drunk. okay a little bit but you're both to blame. i'm just mad that he's the one hurt" they stated

"yeah tory's crazy" she said and they snapped their head to her

"no sam she's not. maybe doing it at school was insane i can admit that but she was heartbroken, she watched her boyfriend kiss the ex that he promised he was over" selene stated and sam sighed. they looked up at the tv

"scorpion" hawk spoke and selene turned to him

"it's selene" they stated and hawk scoffed

"yeah whatever you say, why are you talking to this bitch?" he asked and they scoffed under their breathe

"because i can, it's just as much his fault as it is hers and i told her that" they exclaimed and he shook his head

"are you serious?" he asked

"yeah i am, now i have to go" they stated and sam grabbed their arm as hawk stared at them

"yeah we have school" sam said and she let go of selenes arm as they left the hospital and went to the school

"selene" someone called and they turned around to look at the person who called them

"metri, oh thank god it's you" they said and they wrapped their arm around his shoulder

"wait you don't hate me?" he asked and they threw their head back

"what is with people asking me that? demetri you defended yourself that's all you did and i don't blame you, hawks been an asshole and so have i but i'm willing to change for the good" they spoke and he smiled at them

"i'm glad, i missed you" he said and they walked into school together. they went their bags on the table and went inside

"hey demetri " a freshmen said and they turned to look at selene in fear

"what?" they asked and the girls turned and ran

"do i scare everybody?" they asked demetri

"it's probably the tattoos but sel , someone knows who i am. a human female" he said and they laughed

"you famous now, met" chris spoke and selene laughed before they turned heel and was met with hawk and the others

"got something to say?"mitch asked

"it's weird that we actually use to be friends" selene said to hawk

"yeah. check out my new lit book. a lot of hard-hitting shit in here, you know what i mean" chris said and selene laughed

"all this security isn't enough to protect your scrawny ass" hawk said to demetri

"he doesn't need security, he has me" selene said as they looked him up and down before their counselor walked over

"everything all right here?" she asked

"oh, we're all buddies here. isn't that right, fellas?" demetri said

"yeah" hawk whispered

"don't you all have somewhere to be?" she asked

"yes counselor blast" mitch said and they seperated as they walked away. they turned hightail and they walked up the stairs ignoring the looks from everyone

"surprised you would show your face" someone spoke and they shook their head softly as they looked at the stairs and then around

"i can't be here" they spoke and they hightailed out of the school and went to their car. they got in and they drove to the hospital and walked in

"you're back" his mother spoke and they nodded

"i couldn't stay at school" they said and they turned to see johnny

"johnny" they said and he turned to her

"have you gone in?" he asked and they nodded

"they had me lie and say that i was a family member" they said and he nodded before he grabbed a large coat and went into the bathroom only to come out with his head bleeding

"oh that's a lovely sight" selene spoke and he chuckled under his breathe

"watch this" he spoke and he walked back over to the desk

"i need to see a doctor" he said and selene scoffed as they helped him up and into the back. they followed behind him as they led him to a room and they sat down next to him 

"are you going to go see him?" johnny asked and they nodded before their phone rang and they looked at it

" i have to answer this first" they said and they got out of the chair as they left johnny and went to an empty hallways

"dad? hi, what's up?" they asked and they heard their father sigh

"sel..." he began and they shook their head softly

"dad please" they tried

"i have to leave again ladybug" he spoke and they slid down the wall with tears in their eyes

"for how long?" they questioned and he sighed again

"2-4 years bug" he said and they scoffed

"you promised that you would stay, you wouldn't go and you're leaving again . you lied and you promised you wouldn't lie" they stated

"don't hate me ladybug" he said and they shook their head

" i don't hate you but i can never forgive you every again, bye dad" they said and they ended the call before they got up and they left the hospital

they got on their bike and they rode home as they noticed their fathers car gone and they shook their head

"can't even say goodbye" they exclaimed before they heard a cough and they turned

"selene?" the person said and they turned to see someone they would never expect

"tory?"
