What He Wants.
Annabeth looked down at her ring before a warm smile spread across her cheeks. Seven years.
Seven years she had been married to Percy Jackson. Seven years she had dealt with his silly jokes. Seven years she had been living in the same house as the crazy man she loved so dearly. Seven years she had spent sleeping in bed beside him.
She sighed and looked up before seeing Percy walk out of the doctors office looking happy as usual.
Annabeth stood and they both made their way over to one another. "How is doctor Johnson?" Annabeth asked taking Percy's coat and carrying it for him.
"He's good, he's got two little ones now. Daniel and Becky." Annabeth smiled at Percy's words.
"So uh, are you ok?" Annabeth got to the question and Percy sighed. He had never wanted to come to the doctors office in the first place he thought it was silly. But he had to get things checked and they both knew that.
"I'm ok. I don't have tetanus thankfully." Annabeth smiled and grabbed his hand in her own as they walked out of the doctors office.
"Thank you for agreeing to get checked." Annabeth said and Percy nodded. "You know I'll do anything for you."
Annabeth nodded gently squeezing his hand in hers. "I know, I just hope you know I'd do the same."
Percy was about to nod as they were about to cross the street but he looked up and saw a little girl walking in the middle of the road with no parents.
Percy's keen ears heard the sound of a car horn beep and his head snapped in the direction of the car which was beeping the horn for the little girl to move out of the way.
Percy let go of Annabeth's hand and ran into the middle of the road grabbing the little girl in his arms before running to the other side as the car zipped past them.
Percy panted for a moment before letting out a sigh of relief squeezing the little girl in his arms who seemed to be hugging him back. "You're safe." Percy whispered.
Annabeth ran across the road as some people watched before a man and a woman ran over before pulling their daughter away and hugging her.
"What did I tell you about going ahead of mommy and daddy?" The mom scolded as she hugged her daughter tightly in her arms.
The dad looked at Percy and nodded at him. "Thank you." He said and Percy nodded before training his eyes back on the little girl who was apologizing to her mother.
A few minutes later the family of three left as Percy watched intently Annabeth watching him.
He looked so natural with the little girl in his arms, how he watched the whole family with a wistful look on his face.
Percy stood up and sighed before taking his jacket from Annabeth's arm a smile on his face.
"How 'bout lunch?" He asked and Annabeth smiled before interlocking her arm with him and walking to the nearest restaurant together.
Percy bought her a nice meal and after they ate they walked around New York arms interlocked as they looked around remembering the battles fought there.
"Remember the flying pig?" Percy suddenly asked almost startling Annabeth. A second later she chuckled, "I remember you riding it."
Percy frowned, "It wasn't one of my good days."
Annabeth laughed and kissed her husband's cheek before they found their car and drove back home.

Annabeth was cooking dinner when the doorbell rang. 'Percy! Could you get that!?" Annabeth yelled as she stirred the pasta around in the big bowl.
"Sure darling."
That was a new nickname.
Annabeth heard the door open before she heard a loud. "PERCYYYYY!"
She heard chuckling before Percy said hello to his mom and step-dad.
"Come on Samantha." Annabeth heard Percy say to his younger sister who was now around eleven years old.
Percy led Samantha into the kitchen where Annabeth gave her a hug still wearing her apron.
"Where do we hang the coats?" Annabeth heard Sally yell from the door. They also had coats since it was January and still snowing.
Percy groaned, "Mom, how many times have you been here and you still don't know where to hang your coat." He said stomping to the front door.
"Just shut up and tell me where to put it."
Annabeth smiled and shook her head, "Wanna help me with dinner?" Annabeth asked Samantha who nodded and started following the orders Annabeth gave her for cooking.
They all sat down and ate a good meal talking and laughed before the ladies cleaned up the meal as the men went and sat in the living room talking about sports and whatnot. Though from what Annabeth could hear Percy didn't like the two teams called the Giants and the Titans. He hated those football teams.
Annabeth snickered as Sally rolled her eyes at the boys before they went and sat down with them.
"How's school been?" Percy asked Samantha and she groaned in annoyance.
"School sucks, just like all the kids that are in it........ Well.... except for me."
"Samantha." Sally looked mortified hearing her daughter say that everyone in school sucks. Then she looked at Percy.
Ahh-, never mind.
"That's good to hear." Percy chuckled and Samantha smiled before walking over and sitting on his lap as he held his younger sister close.
Annabeth thought it was so cute.
Percy suddenly started making weird noises with his mouth as his chin rested on her head. "Oops, I drooled a bit."
"WHAT!?" Samantha screamed before jumping off his lap and patting her head as Percy burst out in laughter knowing her had fooled her.
Samantha's eyes narrowed, "You jerk!" She was about to kick his shin but Sally stopped her from doing so. Annabeth didn't know why though, Percy deserved it.
They all calmed down and Samantha sat in between her mom and dad Sally and Paul who sat on the couch together just enough room for her to squeeze in between them.
"So, you two planning on having any kids?" Paul asked and Annabeth didn't know what to answer. She didn't really want kids at the moment. They were a big responsibility and if she had a child she would have to stay home from work and watch it. She couldn't do what she wanted.
Percy looked over at Annabeth "I don't know, are we?" He asked in a somewhat playful manner but Annabeth could tell he was serious.
"I-I don't know. Whatever comes our way I guess." Annabeth smiled and Percy nodded a little looking down.
"So that's a no." Percy mumbled before sipping his coffee.
Annabeth looked down embarrassed though no one beside her and Percy had heard what he had said.
Did Percy really want kids?
~~
A few days later they were getting ready for bed and Annabeth had just gotten out of the shower and into her PJ's before laying down next to Percy who was already in bed and under the covers ready to go to sleep.
Annabeth sighed and shut off the light before laying down next to him and fixing her eyes on the ceiling as they adjusted to the darkness her mind running.
Annabeth sighed and rolled over to find her husbands bare back facing her his many scars from past battles visible in the darkness.
Annabeth reached out and touched the lines on his back Percy not even flinching from the surprise of her touch.
She let out a breath stopping tracing the scars as if they were patterns, "Do you want kids?"
The room was silent for a moment before Percy's body moved Annabeth hearing a long sigh let out.
"Yeah, I want kids."
Annabeth looked down, she didn't know what to do. She didn't want kids, but Percy did. How was this gonna work out?
"Like, h-how many?" Annabeth asked nervous than ever before in their marriage besides her wedding day.
"I don't know, 1 or 3? I just want a child."
Annabeth felt her heart swelling in her throat. She wanted to start sobbing. Not that children weren't nice. But she didn't think she was ready. Children were a lot of work and men didn't have to keep up with them. The women did. Annabeth felt like men didn't realize that.
"Ok." Annabeth whispered retracting her hand from his back and handing it against her chest.
"Annabeth, do you want kids?" Percy's question was expected from Annabeth but she wasn't prepared for it.
"No, I-I guess not." She mumbled before Percy nodded.
"Goodnight Percy."
Percy sighed, "Goodnight Annabeth."
Percy felt Annabeth roll over, he knew before asking her that she didn't want children. The way she acted was proof enough. The words she said added to it also.
But Percy wanted a child so bad, how was he supposed to have children now if his wife didn't want any?
~~
It had been a few months since the talk in bed that night and Percy had decided to treat Annabeth to a date with a nice dinner and a movie. One that she liked.
Percy took Annabeth to an expensive sea-food place which Annabeth loved. But Percy had a hard time since he could hear the lobsters talking to him. Calling to him. Free us... Free us...
Percy shivered as he paid and they left the restaurant to go see the newest romantic movie which Annabeth chose to watch.
Annabeth was having a great time, holding Percy's hand as they walked in the warm spring air together. This was probably one of those special times that she would never forget.
Percy paid for the tickets and squeezed her hand gently sending her a smile as she smiled right back. Gosh he was so gorgeous with his sea green eyes and messy black raven hair.
They walked in and Percy bought popcorn before they went and found seats in the theater which was empty so they had the whole place to themselves.
Annabeth sighed and sat her head on his shoulder as the movie started. This was going to be a good night.
~~
"I loved the part when he ran into the wall as he walked because he was looking at her." Annabeth laughed and Percy just chuckled as they drove home.
"Hey, I'd walk into walls for you but it'd mess up my pretty face." Percy stroked his jawline making Annabeth laugh at his silliness.
After she calmed down and it got quiet Annabeth just sat there looking at Percy's face as he drove. It was so outlined like a perfect being. Annabeth just sighed and watched as she saw the city lights from outside the car (since it was almost midnight) running across the side of his face.
Annabeth was thinking about it and after all that he had done for her the whole day Percy deserved a good evening with her.
Annabeth smirked and sat back in her seat before sighing as they got closer to home.
Percy pulled into the driveway and got out before walking over and opening the door for her which she appreciated much.
"Thank you." She said before kissing his lips lightly taunting him.
Percy knew what that meant, whenever she did that things always got....... Steamier than usual.
But Percy didn't want to go all animal on her so he just swallowed and smiled before closing the door and following her to the front door of the house his hands a little shaky. Can you blame him?
Percy unlocked the door and opened it for her to go in first which she did pulling him by his tie in after after her making him stumble a bit.
Percy closed the doors and almost didn't get to lock them before Annabeth attacked him with her kisses which Percy returned happily.
Percy laid his hands on her waist as Annabeth put her arms around his neck and started playing with his hair pulling at it gently making Percy feel tingly inside at her touch.
Percy's hands slowly moved down southward as he gently pushed her up against the wall kissing her more passionately Annabeth feeling warm and fuzzy inside.
Annabeth pulled away for air "The bedroom." She gasped laying her head back against the wall as Percy panted.
"Just one more moment." He starting kissing at her neck making her moan and squeeze his shoulders. It wasn't hard to make Annabeth weak in the knees in this type of situation.
Annabeth laid her head back on the wall giving him more room to caress her with his lips that were so soft against her skin.
Suddenly a thought popped into her head, the thought.
"Percy, P-Percy. I-I think I'm ready." She stammered out.
Percy picked his head up from her neck. "I don't think we should by the front door."
Annabeth turned deep red.
"That's not what I was talking about." Annabeth looked and saw Percy was now blushing also.
"I-I think I'm ready to carry a child."
Annabeth could hear Percy's breath hitch.
"Really?" He asked his eyes suddenly becoming glossy because of what she was offering him.
Annabeth slowly nodded. "I'm ready to give you a child."
They stood there in silence a moment and Percy crashed his lips against her own for a short moment before grabbing her hand leading her to their room before closing and locking the door behind him.
~~
Annabeth came out of the bathroom to find Percy waiting a smug look on his face.
"So?" he asked pulling her by her waist to his side making her giggle.
"Do we have a puddle stomping, monster scarring, baby in there?"
Annabeth smiled and slowly nodded before Percy kissed her excitedly.
"I'm gonna be a dad!"
"Silly." Annabeth said.
"We're gonna be parents."
Percy smirked before kissing her cheek.
"Yeah, we will be."
