Emotions.

Where Annabeth can only express her emotions by actions, not words.

Annabeth shuffled around the cold school early in the morning when teacher's were supposed to be there, the only reason she was there early was because her mom Athena was a teacher.

Annabeth huffed and sat down in the first room that'd she be in for class, she pulled out her book and started reading even though it was quite difficult for her dew to her dyslexia. But Annabeth pushed through re-reading words again several times before she could turn the page.

By the time she had a chapter down the kids started filing into the hallways, along with her best friend. Percy Jackson.

Percy was a nice kid, might've been a little bit of a troublemaker but Annabeth looked past that. She admired him, he was handsome, nice, and he cared about peoples lives.

The only reason him and her were best friends was because he took the time from his other friends and started to get to know her, in his own special way.

"If yes, blink once, if no blink twice."

Annabeth always thought his ways to get inside of her head were unique. To get to know what she really wanted to say.

Annabeth smiled and leaned on her elbows thinking about his green eyes, sea green. Dark and beautiful, yet vibrant and alive. Let's just say it was Annabeth's favorite color.

Percy usually spent his time out with his other friends like Jason and Nico early in the morning before he spent time with Annabeth. Because once he was with Annabeth he didn't leave her side.

The bell rang and Annabeth heard moans and groans of annoyance as kids filed into the classrooms Percy coming and sitting in his usual spot, in front of Annabeth.

Annabeth sighed inhaling his scent of sea salt, it wasn't strong at all like you would think, just mild and enjoyable.

Annabeth smiled and her mom who was the teacher walked to the front of the room before sighing and starting to lecture them on how the human body works. Annabeth already knew what her mother was talking about so she looked around.

Out the window there were two owls watching her mom and the sun which shone brightly.

Annabeth emotionless turned to the back of Percy's head. She smiled and put her arms out and playing with his raven locks as Percy sighed.

The first time Annabeth did this after they became freinds Percy was asleep. So when she touched his hair he jumped awake and shouted out something about mammals since they were in science class completely embarrassing himself.

Athena looked at them and smiled knowing Annabeth knew what she was talking aboout kept lecturing leaving the two alone, because it was a routine every week.

Percy glanced back at Annabeth and smiled at her. "Hey Wisegirl." He whispered and Annabeth smiled before twirling his hair in between her fingers as he turned his attention towards the teacher again.

Before long the class was over and they were excused to leave for their next class as Athena stood in there smiling at Annabeth and Percy as they walked out together.

Athena knew there was something wrong with her daughter, she knew she had dyslexia, she knew she had aspergers, making it hard for her to communicate, but she was still her daughter and Athena loved her.

Percy as soon as they were out of the classroom flashed Annabeth his troublemaker smile which implied he had a plan going on inside that tiny brain of his.

Percy leaned down and whispered in Annabeth's ear like he had done for so long now, "Let's skip school and let's go to the park."

He pulled away his warm minty breath falling onto her neck as she pondered  the thought.

Annabeth wasn't much of a troublemaker, she was calm and collected and usually followed rules.

The only reason it said she usually instead of always followed the rules was because Percy was in her life. He spiced it up a little making it come to life and not be boring and tasteless.

Annabeth smiled coming to a conclusion and nodded making Percy smirk and grab her hand before running out of the school together as kids watched them.

Percy lead her to the woods where they ran through together smiles on their faces as the cool wind blew on their now rosy cheeks.

They ran through the thick brush for a moment before coming to a clearing but Annabeth didn't see the park, she saw a pasture with horses in it instead.

Annabeth stopped running as they got out of the woods and let go of Percy's hand looking at her surroundings as Percy stopped running and looked back at her panting his breath ragged.

"Something wrong Annabeth?" He asked fixing his hair back as Annabeth starred at the ground.

"W-why did you bring me here?" she asked fiddling on her feet, she didn't talk much. She was always nervous too. Around Percy it was easier though. Everything around Percy was easier. Breathing, smiling, thinking. He was the antidote to her symptoms.

Percy smiled and walked back to the 17 year old who was his age before taking both her hands in his and looking her in the eyes as she looked into his.

"I thought you'd like to see the horses, you like horses right?" He asked and Annabeth pushed her heels up standing on her toes to look over his shoulder (since he had gotten taller than her after all these years) at the horses eating peacefully in the pasture.

Annabeth sighed and relaxed before nodding making Percy smile and slowly lead her towards the fence.

"I work here on the weekends for the young couple, so it should be fine." Percy said sliding himself over the fence and helping Annabeth over also.

They started making their way towards the horses and Annabeth felt like a city girl in her sneakers and with her sparkly grey owl bracelet.

Percy held her soft hand in his and slowly lead her up to the horse he took most interest in.

"Annabeth, this is Blackjack." He said and Annabeth smiled before lifting her hand a bit to pet him but froze and looked at Percy as if for permission to.

Percy smiled and nodded as he had his hand rested on the center of the horses back. Annabeth turned and pet Blackjacks nose as he nickered making her smile.

"This is better than the park isn't it?" Percy asked and Annabeth nodded getting comfortable with the horse speeding up her strokes on his black fur coated neck.

He was a beautiful creature, probably one of the most beautiful she had ever seen.

"Yeah, Blackjack's the best." Percy buried his face into his mane. "He and I always-"

Annabeth turned towards the other horses and Percy rambled on into the horses mane. Annabeth squinted her eyes and walked towards the other horses who had different color coats that Blackjack did, some were multi-colored signally they were pinto's, others brown. But none were completely white. No, pure stallions in the field.

Annabeth then looked towards the barn and saw a flash of white. Annabeth let out a soft gasp before she looked back and saw Percy was still talking to himself his face still in the black horses mane who looked at Annabeth quizzically.

Annabeth smiled and started to make her way towards the barn seeing the swooshing of a tale. It was white, she had to see if the horse was fully white.

She made her way inside the barn and looked to see the horse was completely white and had pink eyes telling Annabeth in was an albino.

The horse in its stall glanced back at her and nickered making Annabeth stop and marvel at its beauty.

She sighed before walking over and petting the horse on the nose as it nuzzled itself into her hand licking it after a minute.

Then Annabeth heard the sound of thundering hooves and looked to see Percy run into the barn on Blackjack looking worried as ever. Percy stopped Blackjack and hopped off. "Annabeth you scarred me!" He exclaimed in a harsh whisper making her feel kinda bad for leaving him like that.

When Percy saw her sad face he sighed and walked over and apologized before giving her a hug making Annabeth feel butterflies inside like always whenever he hugged her.

As they were still hugging they heard footsteps and laughter before Percy quickly pulled away both Annabeth and Percy's eyes wide as saucers.

"It's them. Quick hide!" Percy harshly whispered pushing her into the white horses stall that was clean so they didn't have to worry whether or not there was horse manure in there.

The barn door opened and the laughing stopped making Percy wince.

"Well you're here early." The woman said before walking over to Blackjack and petting his nose. "You really want you hay don't you." she pet under his chin as the man who was her husband closed the barn door they entered through again so the horses didn't escape.

You see, the barn and pasture were connected so the horses could walk into the barn at anytime. But the one door had to be closed so that they didn't escape.

The man who Percy knew as Mr. Turner who's actual name was Jack started to get the hay out as his wife (known to Percy as Mrs. Turner, actual name is Ava) walked over and grabbed his arm and turned him to her before kissing him.

"W-what are you doing?" Jack asked and Ava smirked before kissing him again more passionately. "We just got back from a small vacation." Jack said and Ava pouted. "I don't care." Before kissing him again.

Percy and Annabeth had no idea what was going on, but it was quiet for about 5 minutes and Annabeth was getting impatient.

So Annabeth peaked over the door of the stall and saw that the man had the woman pressed up against the wall kissing her his hands on her bum because she had her legs wrapped around his waist as her hands played with his hair.

Annabeth turned a slight shade of pink before standing there and watching them for a moment before Percy stood up also.

Percy rolled his eyes at them though he turned red at the sight.

Percy then grabbed Annabeth's hand grabbing her attention along with it making her look at him. Percy looked out the door and pointed to it signalling that if they wanted to escape now was their chance.

Annabeth  nodded a bit before looking back at the two that were so in love as Percy opened the stall door and pulled Annabeth out before closing it again and pulling her towards the door where they entered as Annabeth starred at the married couple who was kissing.

Percy pulled her out of the barn as Annabeth wanted to do what the couple were doing.

Once they were out of the barn Percy started running and they ran towards the woods where they had emerged to enter the field.

Percy jumped over the fence and pulled Annabeth over gently after himself before they headed back into the woods panting.

They slowed down once into the woods so far before Before stopped and apologized.

"I'm sorry Annabeth, I knew they were in the honeymoon stage and I should've warned you."

Annabeth blushed looking down and nodding suddenly becoming aware of the way he held her hand all of the time.

Annabeth smiled lightly and rubbed her thumb over his knuckles and Percy knowing she lost interest in their conversation looked down at their hands.

Percy sighed and squeezed her hand gently reassuring her that he would always be there for her.

"Come on, let's go to my place."

Annabeth looked up at him and nodded before they walked through the woods to his house.

Percy opened the door letting go of her hand and leading her into the living room where they sat down warming up from being outside in the cold weather so long.

Percy ran upstairs and got them a blanket as Annabeth followed him into his room where he got the blanket. As Percy turned around with the blanket from his bed he saw her so he invited her into his room so they could rest.

Annabeth walked in and Percy offered her some of his comfy clothes which she took and changed into which were basketball shorts and a big green t-shit along with one of his swimming hoodies.

She came out of the bathroom after changing and laid down with Percy on his bed. Percy had changed also into a baggy t-shirt. and basketball shorts also. Though everything he wore was blue, and her clothes had green, black, and blue.

They laid down together and Percy spooned Annabeth him being the big spoon laying his head on her shoulder closing his eyes and trying to rest his minty breath falling on her cheek.

Annabeth tried to sleep, but she couldn't. Her mind wouldn't shut off.

She kept thinking about that married couple in the barn, how they kissed with such passion and love for one another. Annabeth wanted to do that. She wanted someone to love her like that. She wanted unique love like that.

Annabeth couldn't help but wonder who she would share her first kiss with. No one had ever showed any interest in her as even a friend besides Percy. But he probably didn't love her that way Probably just as a friend.

Annabeth thought about it more and remembered the time she fell and scraped her knuckles like a small child.

Percy instantly picked her up and bandaged her knuckles in his house before kissing them and telling her they would be alright since they hurt like someone had just burnt her knuckles with fire. But somehow his kissing them gently made them feel better.

Percy, his lips. She hadn't thought about it until now. He would be perfect. A perfect first kiss.

Annabeth blushed at her thought as Percy hugged her up against his chest making her feel warm the blankets covering them keeping their now shared body heat on top of them.

Percy yawned and slapped his lips together before sighing. "You awake?" He whispered into her ear and Annabeth nodded looking at the wall in front of her.

Percy sighed and got up before sitting on the edge of the bed as he scratched the back of his neck.

"You want some hot coco?" He asked looked back at her and Annabeth smiled before nodding.

Percy smiled back and stood up before stretching and walking out of the room and to the kitchen leaving Annabeth alone in his room.

Annabeth picked up his phone and saw it was 4:27 PM so she looked out of the window by his bed to see it was becoming darker outside. Then it started to rain.

Annabeth sighed before texting her mom from Percy's phone and telling her she was at Percy's. She did that a lot. She was over at his house a lot. Most of the time actually.

Annabeth set his phone down right before Percy walked in with two cups of hot coco.

Annabeth sat up and he handed hers to her as he sat next to her before they both sipped on the hot beverages.

Annabeth burnt her lips first sip making her put her coco down and her lips turn red.

"Oh, I made it too hot didn't I?" Percy asked and Annabeth nodded feeling her lips.

"Here, let me look." Percy sat his coco down next to hers on his nightstand.

Percy scooted closer and she looked at him as he examined her lips. He put his thumb on her bottom lip and she winced in surprise Percy whispering an apology afterwards. Percy looked and bit his bottom lip looking at hers.

Percy looked for a second before looking up at her eyes their eyes locking. Green on grey.

In that instant Annabeth knew Percy was the one she wanted. Not just as her first kiss. But her only kiss. She- she loved him.

"Something wrong?" Percy asked seeing her tense up. Annabeth gulped and tried saying it. A simple 'I love you.' but nothing came from her burnt lips.

Annabeth looked down at Percy's legs and whimpered making Percy worried about her.

"Hey, are you ok?"  He put a stray hair behind her ear and she looked up her eyes a bit glossy.

"Annabeth." She blinked twice signalling 'no' making him be quiet.

Annabeth scooted closer and looked at his shirt.

She slowly lifted her hands and grabbed the collar of his shirt and Percy gulped looking her in the eyes with longing as she looked at him the same way.

Annabeth sucked in a long breath before pulling him down right above her face. Their breaths were mixing their eyes locked. Percy knowing what she was doing put his hands on her hips and smiled at her in sympathy. They were so close.

Finally Annabeth jerked him to her and their lips met.

Annabeth couldn't even explain it. Nothing was as wonderful as this. As his lips.

They were soft but rough enough to signify he was the dominant one unlike Annabeth. She was weaker, the weaker half that needed a man. She needed Percy.

The kiss was slow and delicate, like one wrong move would ruin it forever.

Percy made a 'mph' noise before taking his right hand from her hip and cupped the side of her face with it before slowly pulling away from her lips his and her eyes both closed.

Percy let out a breath and opened his eyes like Annabeth had already done before they looked at each other.

Percy let out a breathy chuckle before rubbing his thumb on her cheek. "I love you Annabeth."

Her heart was already above its normal rate when he said I love you but now it was even higher. Annabeth couldn't explain it. Annabeth was high on him. High on his love.

Annabeth let three silent tears fall down her cheeks before she pulled him into a hug and cried into his shoulder never feeling as important as she did in this moment ever before.

Percy sighed and held her close with his one arm around her waist as he pet her head of curly blonde hair with the other hand. "I have always loved you."

The rain tapped on the window for a moment but in Annabeth's ears Percy's heartbeat was louder.

Percy smiled and kissed the side of her head.

"Never forget it."

And there's one thing Annabeth never forgot.

Even in her old age and after loosing her beloved.

That Percy Jackson. Seaweedbrain, her Seaweedbrain. Loved her.

Even after death.

Percy still loved her.

I don't know what it was about this one but the ending made me really, REALLY want to cry.

Oh wait, I already did. Oops.
