Set during the Civil War
It was April 18, 1862, the day that had been chosen to form a bond unbreakable by man between two souls. The day they would commit their lives to one another loving and living with one another until death parted them. It was Annabeth Chase's and Perseus Jackson's wedding day.
The date had been set for two years which gave Percy enough time to build a house and earn enough money to sustain him and his wife for the first few months of their married life. Annabeth waited patiently for him as she started planning the wedding. She had help and had the dress handmade since her mother was wealthier than the average person.
"Be careful walking down the isle! Don't trip!" Piper said and Annabeth glared lightly. "You can't say that on her wedding day!" Hazel exclaimed looking at the dress she had helped make her golden eyes gleaming with pride at her beautiful work even though it was the work of a former slaves hands.
"Thank you Hazel." Annabeth said as Calypso finished her hair which was up in a bun a couple curls left out to cascade at the sides of her face. "How was your visit with him last night?" Hazel asked and Annabeth sighed happily.
"I almost couldn't look at the stars on our long walk. His eyes are just so beautiful. such a gorgeous color." Annabeth swooned more than she wanted to, but it was her wedding day. She could do what she wanted.
"Are you sure that's all you guys did? Take a long walk?" Piper smirked looking at Annabeth in the mirror as she places her warm hands on Annabeth's bare shoulders making Annabeth blush at the assumption Piper was making.
"Surely there were other activities that took place last night." Piper looked directly at Annabeth now, not in the reflection of the mirror anymore. Annabeth's face felt like it had caught flame even though nothing had happened.
"Piper what an outrageous accusation!" Rachel exclaimed walking into the room her extremely curly hair pulled back. "You know before the wedding nothing is allowed besides light brushing." Rachel explaining telling them that they weren't even allowed to hold hands.Just maybe casually brush up against one another.
"You made it!" Hazel exclaimed happily knowing Rachel had helped free Hazel along with a young man named Frank. Hazel hugged Rachel and Rachel chuckled as Annabeth looked to the floor everyone greeting their friend from the South.
A deep blush stayed on her face knowing her and Percy had certainly broke the rules of just brushing up against one another. He had grabbed her hand and they walked around town in the dark the stars and the moon lighting their way since everyone was asleep except for them. It was very late.
Annabeth remembered how perfect his palm felt pressed up against her own. How perfect his hand fit together with hers. The quiet was wonderful because they got to enjoy the peaceful night sometimes whispering to one another about the time they had spent apart while Percy was building their house. Of course Annabeth had made the drawings for it.
They had been apart a year as Percy worked leaving Annabeth to her own devices. But Percy had come back a month before the wedding to his fiance. Which was Annabeth of course.
When they had finished their walk Percy walking her to the gate in front of her house. "Tomorrow you'll be mine." Percy whispered ashe held her hands in his own his sea green eyes fixed on her stormy grey ones. Annabeth smiled at the thought of finally being his wife.
Then he leaned in and gave her cheek a light kiss before whispering in her ear, "I love you."
Annabeth's breath caught in her throat her eyes sparkling with happiness as she looked at her future husband. "I love you too Percy."
He hesmiled lightly the stars lighting up his face, "See you tomorrow my dear." He gave her hands a light squeeze before letting go and walking towards his home leaving Annabeth standing there watching him.
Shecertainly had no cold feet for her wedding.
"Where's Reyna?" Piper asked and Rachel sighed, "She's uh, busy."Rachel made an excuse but everyone knew why. Reyna was with the South and they were with the North, all except Rachel. Rachel was with the South too. But they were so close of friends Rachel's husband let her come up to celebrate Annabeth's wedding day.
Thankfully everyone was distracted so they didn't ask what had happened on their long walk through town last night.
Then Athena stuck her head in, "It's almost time." she warned even though she wasn't in particularly happy about that Annabeth had chosen a Jackson. But Annabeth felt completely different. The Jackson's were a beautiful family so nice and pure. Sally loved everyone even Athena she was nice to.
Annabeth nodded and stood as her mother sighed before walking out. "Your dress looks beautiful!" Rachel gasped and Annabeth smiled. "Thank you Rachel, thank you all of you for helping with everything."Annabeth said and they all nodded before Annabeth gave all of them a separate hug.
"Let's do this."
~~
"I can't stay long." Jason informed and Percy sighed. "Thank you for coming anyway Jason." Jason nodded to Percy as he got dressed Percy checking his hair even though he had already done that a hundred times.
"I'm so nervous." He breath and Leo smiled his toothy grin. "Don't be! Annabeth loves you and you love her. Nothing to be worried about!"
Grover patted Percy on the back, "For once I agree with Leo."Percy smiled and Jason smiled the scar on his lip showing. "Hate to break that up but it's almost time." Frank said and Jason nodded Percy taking a deep breath.
"Just think about it like this Percy." Leo slung his arm over Percy's shoulder making him hunch down because Leo was short. "Today you'll be sealing your fat to live happily ever after with the woman of your dreams. Got it?"
Percy nodded, "I can do that."
Grover smiled. "Then let's get you to that alter!"
~~
Percy fidgeted as he waited for his bride at the alter, he had no idea what music she had chosen. But he couldn't wait to see her. He was dying to see his bride.
He tried thinking about what Leo had said but his palms were sweaty and he couldn't help but imagine that she had ran out on him. She would never do that but it always loomed in the back of his mind.
Then the angelic music started to play and Percy looked up from his shoes to the end of the isle. The sight of his bride made his breath hitch. Her dress was long and elegant. It was pure white and reminded Percy of clouds. Or the fresh fallen snow.
His vision started to become blurry and he brought his hand up to wipe away his tears.
~~
Percy looked to handsome it made her want to run down the isle and jump into his arms. But She walked slowly as she held the blue and white flowers. Percy's favorite color.
Annabeth walked up to the alter her heart pace faster than a horses hooves ashe was in full gallop. She was so nervous but so happy also. She kissed her dad on the cheek before he went to sit down as she turned to her handsome groom.
Percy gave her a little smile before grabbing her hands in his like he had done the night before. Annabeth beamed with happiness.
The vows were a blur in both his and her mind as thoughts of the other clouded their minds. They slid on the rings and starred into one another's eyes with pure love. "You may kiss the bride."
Percy nodded trying to hide the smile on his face before leaning in and kissing her on the lips for the very first time. Sparks seemed to fly between the two with only just a light press. Percy pulled away and they opened their eyes to look at one another both of their faces alight pink.
Percy grabbed her hand and lightly squeezed before raising their intertwined hands above their heads and cheering everyone joining in with him Annabeth laughing her face becoming red.
Then they walked down the isle Percy leading Annabeth by the hand their faces showing only happiness and love.
~~
Later in the evening Percy told Jason they were leaving and he nodded patting Percy on the shoulder before Percy went and pulled Annabeth aside "Follow me." He whispered a little playful smirk playing on his face as he pulled her away from the wedding where all the people were.
Annabeth followed without question feeling like her new life with Percy would be an exciting adventure every day of their lives. "Where are you taking me Mr. Jackson?" She said in a sexy voice Percy chuckling at her as he lead her through a scenic garden.
He pulled her out before he showed her a jet black horse who was saddled up and ready to ride. His halter had the name Blackjack on it.
Percy gently pulled his new wife to him pressing her body up against his own their faces inches apart a wonderful smile playing across his face.
"To Paradise." He whispered his hot breath on her bare neck sent shivers down her spine.
Percy laid his hands on her hips before pressing his warm cheek to her cold one and letting out a long sigh. Annabeth placed her hands on his shoulders and they stood there like that for a while just enjoying being together. Touching and taking in one another's presence.
Percy sucked in a breath before lightly squeezing Annabeth's hips and pulling away.
"Let us hurry, for the road to Paradise is long." Percy lead her to the horse before helping her mount him following soon after her, Annabeth sitting somewhat on Percy's lap making her blush deeply Percy chuckling lightly his face a light pink also. "It's ok,you can move if you're uncomfortable." He said and Annabeth shook her head. She wasn't a sissy. "N-no, I'm fine." She stuttered before leaning back into his chest as if to prove she could handle it.
Percy clicked his tongue before steering the horse in the direction they needed to go. Percy laid his chin on Annabeth's bare shoulder before sighing as they trotted along.
He then explained that he had bought this horse for them with some of his money he had saved during building their house. Annabeth couldn't wait to see it, Percy kept telling her how he had followed the drawings she had made and that she would enjoy living there.
Annabeth was so curious, but something felt off. Like something would go wrong... Annabeth kept looking over her shoulder as if someone was following them.
Finally they reached the house and Annabeth gasped in awe. Percy had done a beautiful job. It looked almost exactly like she imagined it would look.
"It's beautiful." She said examining his handy work as the horse trotted on towards it.
Percy guided the horse into the stable before he dismounted and helped his bride also before putting Blackjack into his stall and taking off his tack as Annabeth looked around. The architecture was beautiful, Percy had done a wonderful job.
When she was looking up at the house she felt his strong arms wrap around her from behind making her squeal in delight knowing it was her new husband.
"How about we go look inside madam? It's quite beautiful inside also."He whispered huskily and she placed her hands on his which were on her stomach.
"Only if you lead the way." Annabeth played along and Percy chuckled before kissing her cheek and grabbing her hand. "Come then!"He walked towards the house leading her in the dark their only light the stars above their heads.
Percy pulled her up on the porch and she giggled as he wrapped is arms around her and pressing their foreheads together a playful smirk on his lips a happy smile on Annabeth's.
"Mmm,you're so beautiful." he hummed and Annabeth slapped his shoulder lightly before wrapping her arms around his neck pulling herself closer to him.
He let his head fall into her neck nestling his face into where her shoulder met her neck as he swayed them back and forth a bit. Percy sucked in a deep breath through his nose.
The swaying came to a stop and they just stood there in silence the darkness feeling welcoming for once. Annabeh had no idea how longthey stood there but she didn't care. As long as she was in Percy's arms.
Percy let out a small warm breath before lifting his head and laying a soft kiss to the side of her neck. Annabeth gasped her heart beat picking up.
But it didn't last long when they heard the pounding of horses hooves.Percy lifted his head and pulled away before they both looked to see a man in Union blue.
"Perseus Jackson!" The man called and Percy walked out to the edge of the porch as if to protect Annabeth. The man pulled his brown horse into an abrupt stop dust flying up before they stopped the horse panting.
He took out a small piece of paper before reading it loudly.
"You have been selected by the Draft System to serve in the Union army to fight against the South." He proclaimed and Percy looked down a gasp of horror escaping Annabeth's mouth.
"Or you must pay the $300 fee if you wish to not serve."
Percy shook his head "No, I'll go."
He turned to Annabeth before hugging her tightly. "I love you."he gave her a light kiss on the lips before handing her the key to the house.
"The money's in the bedroom under the floorboards under the carpet."Percy said in a hushed tone and Annabeth nodded before he turned and informed the man he had a horse he would like to use.
The man nodded and Percy walked to the barn, the man on the brown horse starting to leave also, leaving Annabeth all alone in horror that her groom could die.
~~
Annabeth looked around the house which her husband had built. Everything was so new but so familiar at the same time. She had never seen the place before, but it was like she could feel Percy through his handy work.
Annabeth sighed as she walked to town to buy herself some ingredients for food and to check the news.
She had to know what was happening in the war, her husband's life was at stake. But she also feared someone coming to her house to inform her of her lost love whom she'd never see again.
Annabeth usually broke down in tears in her big lonely house. She was strong but she missed her Percy so much. She missed her Seaweedbrain.
~~
Annabeth went and picked Rachel up from the south because the battles were becoming so close to her house and Rachel requested it.
Annabeth waited standing right outside the carriage as Rachel left her mansion thanks to her rich husband. "Rachel you are carrying too much! That is not safe!" The stringy haired blonde in a general's uniform walked out of the front door chasing his wife his medals for war jingling until he came to her side lifting one of her suitcases.
"You know why I told you tell her to pick you up Rachel. So why are you overworking yourself? It's not safe for the-"
"OCTAVIAN!"Rachel yelled her face all red in anger her husbands cheeks dusting pink also anger the evident emotion between them. Rachel sighed and looked down to the walkway.
"I'm sorry dear, but I must protect my family." He took her other suitcase before walking to the carriage leaving her with only her umbrella as he loaded her suitcases on the carriage.
"Mrs.Jackson." Octavian gave her a rude looking nod and Annabeth nodded back not knowing what to say. She looked and found Rachel beside her the bright yellow sun shining down on them almost blindingly.
Octavian turned to his wife and sighed before lifting her face up by her chin making her look him in the eyes. "Rachel, everything I do is for my family. Only to protect them. Alright?" He said and Rachel nodded up at him before he smiled lightly. He leaned down and ave his wife a deep kiss which left Annabeth to stand there awkwardly.
Rachel gently pushed him away before looking in his eyes knowingly, "We'll take care." She said glancing at Annabeth and Octavian nodded before Rachel hugged him and warned him to stay safe also which made him chuckle. "I will try my best my dear."
They pulled away and Rachel hugged Annabeth before they got inside as idea's swirled in Annabeth's head about that we.
~~
"Wow,it's really nice. Percy did a great job."
Annabeth nodded as she carried one of Rachel's bags in Rachel carrying the other. They sat down Rachel's stuff as Rachel gawked at Percy's house. Annabeth just watched thankful that Percy chose her over Rachel. Rachel would've been his first choice, Annabeth assumed, but for some reason something swayed him towards her. So Octavian came in and swept Rachel up with gifts and a promise to keep her safe. Along with his undying love of course.
"You're lucky, all your stuff is handmade by your husband. All mine does is buy everyone from his trips to other countries." she sighed before sitting in the lounge as Annabeth followed her. "I suppose it's better this way." Rachel sighed, "I can't stand him for longer than the allotted time in between each trip."
The girls both laughed neither wanting anything to drink, they were just happy to talk.
"But I do miss him terribly whenever he is gone." Rachel admitted a small smile playing on her lips. "I can't stand being with him.And I can't stand being away from him either." Rachel chuckled.
"I suppose you haven't experienced that yet." Rachel said and Annabeth looked down sadly. "Rumor has it you two didn't even make inside your house." Rachel said and Annabeth sighed.
"Sadly no, he was called to service before he could show me the house."Annabeth leaned back on the couch and Rachel nodded.
"My wedding was different," Rachel smiled before moving over and sitting next to Annabeth to get closer. "He wouldn't let anyone visit for a whole month so he could have me all to himself!"Rachel laughed and Annabeth began to giggle.
"Talk about possessive, he'd decapitate every man who looks at me if he could!" Rachel exclaimed doing her best to get the sad look to wipe off of Annabeth's face.
~~
Rachel had to stay a lot longer than was planned which revealed the secret she was keeping. She was heavy with child. The war kept getting worse, and more and more slaves kept pouring into the North thankful for freedom as the Northerners welcomed them with open arms.
But every day Annabeth feared the same thing. That she'd never see her husband again.
~1Year Later~
"Isn't it beautiful!" Hazel exclaimed as the four women walked around."What is Hazel?" Piper asked and Hazel smiled. "There's so much color! It's not just me anymore!" Hazel looked overjoyed that she felt like she wasn't the only black anymore.
Rachel giggled and Annabeth smiled. "I should paint this!" Rachel got a sudden idea as she held her sleeping 4 month old baby in her arms and Hazel gasped. "Yes, you should! May I help!?"Hazel looked like she was glowing.
"Yes,as long as you help with Julius." Rachel snuggled her son in her arms and Piper giggled. "Of course!" Hazel promptly said and Rachel smiled in delight.
~~
Percy woke up in a cold sweat his heart pumping way faster than normal.Percy threw his legs over the side of his cot, since he was in the infirmary, and put a hand on his chest as he gazed at the dusty floor.
Vivid pictures of all the battles her fought... And all the men he killed with almost no mercy... they wouldn't let him sleep. It was like he was being haunted for his decision to not pay the $300 fee to stay home. As if he made the wrong choice... Did he make the right choice? Was fighting going to make this better? Or were there more peaceful ways to solve this? Should he of stayed with his wife?
Percy put his pounding head in his hands the sounds of firing muskets ringing inside his head. Oh goodness, he missed her so much. He knew if she was here she'd encourage him as she bandaged up his wounds. Percy, you are fighting for a good cause. Just don't misuse your power to take lives. Spare as many lives as possible. You know that's the right thing to do.
He imagined when she was done bandaging him and giving a small speech she'd lean down and kiss his forehead gently kissing away the headache that was starting to blur his vision.
Percy groaned trying to block out the light with his hands to ease his headache. "Sir, are you ok?"
Percy lowered his hands from his eyes to see a woman with brown hair coming towards him. "Oh, yeah. I'm fine thanks." He grunt before blinking his eyes.
"You don't look fine. Tell me what's wrong." she said and Percy sighed listening for some reason.
"My head, it's killing me. I- can you get me something to cover my eyes with?" Percy asked and she nodded before getting up and grabbing him a pillow. "Now lay down." She ordered him and he listened before she placed the pillow over his face gently blocking out any light form his vision.
"Now get some rest, you need to heal up if you want to be out there winning this war."
~1Year Later~
The years were flying by and still the war wasn't over and it didn't look like there was an end in sight. Annabeth sighed feeling almost hopeless.
"Hey Annabeth." Piper said from outside her garden which Percy had put a fence around knowing they'd need one in the future when he build the house.
"Yes,Piper?" Annabeth asked collecting the last of the cucumbers and putting them in her basket before exiting the garden. Piper closed the door and followed Annabeth as she walked towards the little lake where she'd rinse off her cucumbers of their spikes.
"You miss Percy right?" Piper asked and Annabeth nodded before thinking. "Of course I do!" Annabeth said washing the cucumbers Piper helping her.
"I-I know we're in different situations... But I have someone, that I miss...." Annabeth looked over at Piper and Piper turned a little pink. "We're engaged..." Annabeth said congratulations and Piper looked down. "E-except he's confederate..." Piper said and Annabeth nodded before pulling Piper close and hugging her as a friend.
"It's ok. He'll be safe Piper. He'll come back to you."
Annabeth felt like she was speaking to herself more than she was Piper.
~~
Percy slowly lowered his musket as he came face to face with his old buddy.
"Percy."Jason said in a hushed sad voice. Percy glanced down for a second knowing he had to keep his guard up.
"I don't want to hurt you." Percy said and Jason sighed. "I feel the same way of you Percy. But war is war."
Percy felt tears welling up in his eyes knowing what he had to do. He rushed forward and gave Jason one last hug. "I'm sorry." He whispered before pushing his bayonet in Jason gasping pain wracking his body.
Percy pulled away pulling his bayonet out of his best friend blood staining his hands.
Percy caught Jason before he fell and started making his way back knowing that if he wasn't treated quickly he'd lose his best friend.
But Percy knew that if they held his best friend captive he wouldn't lose him.
~1Year later~
It was May 10, 1865, the day after the war was over.
The girls were squealing in delight as they helped Rachel pack up for the ride back to her mansion in the south.
"I will miss you girls!" Rachel cried a bit as she hugged them all goodbye before boarding the carriage with her baby.
"Bye baby Julius!" Hazel waved as the 1 year old baby who smiled in his mama's arms Rachel waving for him.
Then the three girls turned to one another and broke out in excited squeals as they jumped around in delight knowing that it was finally over. Now it was time to mend the heart of the nation together in unity once again.
~~
"Bye Annabeth!" Piper waved a few weeks later and Annabeth gave them a smile as Piper and Hazel began to walk away from her house to their house since Hazel was staying with Piper now.
Annabeth sighed happier than usual as she worked around the house the sun starting to slowly set leaving an orange glow across the earth.
Annabeth opened the windows in the kitchen letting the sun beat down on her making her skin look tanner than usual and have a glow to her. She hummed as she dried dishes dancing a bit her bun becoming real messy her curls pushing past it and cascading down the sides of her face.
She was drying the last dish when she heard the clip-clop of horses hooves. Worry crashed down on her. It was some soldier telling her that her husband wouldn't make it home. Telling her that he died bravely in war and that they are truly grateful for his service to his country.
Annabeth almost didn't go outside to see who's horse the faint clip-clopping belonged to. She put away the dish she was drying before slowly making her way to the front door. She stepped outside slowly before looking to the road seeing the silhouette of a horse and it's rider. But the sun was too bright behind them she couldn't see who it was.
Annabeth went to the edge of the porch and squinted putting her hand up to block out the sun the best she could. She had to wait a moment until they came close enough so she could see. When they finally came close enough Annabeth gasped her heart beat speeding up.
"P-Percy!"She yelled and he looked up from the ground and to his wife a smile forming on his face matching hers. "Oh my gosh Percy!"Annabeth jumped off the porch and started running as fast as she could, with her skirt, to him.
Percy dismounted and pulled the horse along faster as he starting running as well. Tears were rolling down Annabeth's cheeks as she ran. She couldn't believe it was him. It was really him!
When they finally touched the crying ceased and they hugged each other tightly happiness washing over them.
"Percy!Oh Percy!" she yelled his name in happiness as he held her tightly in his shaking arms joy overwhelming him.
"I missed you so much." His voice cracked and Annabeth squeezed him tighter against herself as she pulled him down by his neck to her level more. "It's ok now." Annabeth whispered to him and to herself as well.
Blackjack nickered causing them to pull apart Annabeth looking at the black stallion who had a earned a few marks over the years. Annabeth pet his muzzle amazed he was alive also. "Still as beautiful as when I met you." Annabeth smiled and the horse seemed to made a nodding motion making both Percy and Annabeth laugh.
Then she turned to her husband, "Dinner is almost done, I wasn't expecting more than myself tonight so there isn't much.. But uh, I'll go set the table while you put him in his stall." Annabeth said and Percy smirked.
"Yes, ma'm." He said as if she were his boss and she lightly smacked his shoulder as if for punishment.
"Dinner will get cold!" She warned as they parted ways slight anxiety coming over both of them at being separated again. But wit was just the barn. Not too far...
Annabeth sighed and hurriedly set the table almost setting it for only one when she remembered Percy was back! She pulled the small chicken out of the oven setting it on a hot pad before setting the warm vegetables beside it.
The front door opened and Percy walked in Annabeth looking over to him to find a small smile on his face. "I haven't had a hot meal in forever." Percy said as he sat down making Annabeth feel a little bad for him before she sat beside him.
The meal was nice, there was some talking but mostly praising of Annabeth's cooking which made her blush terribly. Going from 3 years of no compliments from a man to a ton during dinner alone made her quite flustered.
After dinner and Annabeth was putting stuff away Percy reached up and rubbed his shoulders lightly groaning his muscles so tense. Annabeth saw this and knew what to do.
"I'll pour you a bath." Annabeth said and Percy looked at her for a moment in surprise but she didn't give him time to protest. She walked into the bathroom before starting to pour him a nice hot bath. She put lots of soap in assuming he probably hadn't showered in awhile either.
She put out a towel before running and grabbing his clothes from their bedroom smiling that she'd be able to share the bed made for them with her husband for the first time.
She set his clothes down beside his towel before going to where she had left him, "Your bath is ready." Annabeth explained and Percy nodded before walking over to her and lightly kissing her cheek. "Thank you dear."
Annabeth shivered, that name felt good to hear. Like they were actually married.
Annabeth had no idea how good that word felt on Percy's tongue. He was just so happy to be with his wife.
~~
As Percy bathed to relax his muscles and clean himself of 3 years of war Annabeth did everything she could to prepare for him to be the most comfortable. She swept the bedroom floor and she fluffed the pillows she had cried into many nights missing him.
She drew in a deep breath before she heard the door to their bedroom open slightly startling her. She was not used to having someone enter her room without knocking.
"Wow,still looks like when I built it." Percy said in his long pants and button up sleeping shirt.
Annabeth smiled at him wondering how odd he felt to be in a house with heat and warm water and food fresh out of the oven. She had been living with all that. But he hadn't.
It was late at night and both were ready for bed, so Annabeth took out her sleeping dress before turning pink. Should she just change inhere? Or go to another room?
She had no idea what to do, it was just really embarrassing because Annabeth had only seen Percy shirtless like twice before..
Annabeth blushed, why was she thinking about this all of a sudden??
"I'm gonna look around the house a bit before bed." Percy said and Annabeth nodded Percy leaving the room letting her change without being embarrassed.
~~
When Percy came back in Annabeth was sitting on her bed reading a book which made him chuckle reminding him of when they were going out. She was always reading books.
Percy sighed before unbuttoning his shirt and slowly pulling it off his back towards her while she stood to put her book on the dresser.
After turning Annabeth starred at his bare back looking at all the scars that were certainly not there before. Percy turned to face her and she found a scratch of some sort across his chest. Like an animal's.
Without thinking she walked forward and touched the scare of the scratch that would forever be etched on his chest. "What;s this from?"She asked and Percy tried to steady his breathing as he looked into her eyes.
He looked to his chest where she was touching, "That one? I think a wolf broke into camp and I killed it. But I guess it got me first."He chuckled nervously trying to keep his mind from going blank.
Hers oft touch on his chest was driving him crazy. It felt like magic on his skin. Everywhere she touched he got tingles which made him feel like curling his toes.
Annabeth wondered how many men had left the scars that were on him. She wondered if they had any remorse for what they'd down.
Annabeth sighed before looking up from his chest and into his eyes. Oh, those sea green eyes that she missed so much.
Annabeth smiled and slowly snaked her arms around his neck as Percy wrapped his strong arms around her frame. Annabeth hugged him tightly. "I'm so glad you're back." She whispered and Percy held her tighter.
Percy buried his head into her hair that was laying on her shoulder before inhaling her scent. Percy let out a long breath feeling at home in her arms.
Percy pulled away and looked into her eyes a moment studying the color as she looked into his. Then he closed his eyes and slowly leaned in, connecting the gap between them by kissing her.
Annabeth sucked in a sharp breath through her nose before kissing back as best she could.
Percy pulled away and laid his forehead against her own as they held each other in their arms. "I love you Annabeth." Percy said and Annabeth smiled. "I love you too Percy."
Percy looked into her eyes a sincere smile on his face before leaning in again and kissing her. This time it was more passionate, it wasn't slow and new like the one before. It was picking up it's pace and it was growing by the second with passion.
Percy's hands drifted to her hips as Annabeth put her hands in his now dry hair. Percy pulled away again them both gasping lightly for air from the longest kiss they'd ever had. Percy again went to meet her lips Annabeth kissing back instantly as Percy unknowingly let his hands wander to her backside.
Percy moaned lightly into her lips feeling his system heating up rather quickly. He had never felt this alive before.
Percy started backing her up towards the bed until the back of her legs touched it making them stop and Percy pull away before looking into her eyes asking permission. Annabeth looked into his eyes a moment before nodding slowly. Percy's breath hitched before he turned lightly pink Annabeth following his example.
Then they found their way to their own Paradise Percy had promised 3 years ago.
He did say the road was long didn't he?
<~~>
I have been working on this oneshot for 3 years! (days)
But yeah, hope you enjoyed.
Also big thanks to my history homework which inspired me to write this. And yes, the draft system was real.
But now you all know what I think about during school.
