Annabeth almost jumped out of her skin when she closed her locker and found herself face to face with Jason Grace making her jump back a bit at the surprise.

"Hey Annabeth." He greeted and Annabeth sighed.

"Hey Jason, what's up?" She asked before chuckling nervously at how she almost fell over at seeing him. She hoped he hadn't caught that she almost did that.

"Well, I though since it is Friday and everyone's off I scheduled a party tonight, well a pool party to be specific." Jason said before muttering and counting on his fingers as he said names.

"Yeah? Cool." Annabeth put her bag strap over her shoulder as she watched him hoping he would hurry since she needed to head to her next class.

"So if you didn't get the hint I was inviting you." Jason pointed at her and she smiled. "Sure Jason thanks." 

Jason smiled down at her before hearing the school bell go off making hims tart to back away as Annabeth did the same.

"5:00 o'clock! My house!" He yelled and Annabeth thought for a moment.

"I don't have a ride!" She yelled back even though she was 17 her dad would be out on a date with his new wife and their other car was currently sitting in the garage broken. Funny her dad knew a fighter planes in and outs but a car... Not so much.

Jason nodded, "I'll schedule you a ride!" He called and Annabeth nodded exclaiming before the two blondes turned and sprinted to  their classes.

She just got dropped off from the bus and was home and she went right to work doing her homework as she listened to some tunes nodding her head in the music as she wrote down her mind running with theories and figuring out the problems in her homework.

"Ok honey." She heard her dad through her headphones making her turn her head to the sound and look at him from her seat on the couch.

"Yeah?" She asked before she saw her stepmom come out in a dress her short brown hair straightened which was short in the back and long in the front but it was a slow change.

"We're going on our date. So have fun at your party." Her dad kissed her forehead and she smiled.

"You have fun on your date." Annabeth whispered to her father resulting in a genuine smile of thankfulness. He was thankful because he knew how much of a hard time Annabeth was doing with the new mom.

Annabeth had no idea where her real mom was, she had never really gotten much information about her either. All she knew that she was where she came from, so she felt that she deserved to know who and where she was.

She was her mom after all.

"Goodbye." Annabeth waved and her stepmom nodded before they left for their date which her dad had been planning for a while now. 

The front door shut and Annabeth sighed before turning back to her homework for a few more minutes before she closed her book and headed upstairs to get ready for the pool party.

She put in her earbuds and danced around as she got ready taking out her red and black tankini before looking at it in silence (except for the music pounding in her ear) before nodding and setting it on her bed before stripping and slipping it on before looking at herself in the mirror before nodding a smile tracing on her lips.

She looked good.

Annabeth quickly brushed her hair and put it in a messy braid before going to her closet and looking through her piles of shoes for her black flip-flops that she hadn't worn in a while.

She literally had to dig to find them resting almost smashed on the bottom. She smiled and pulled them out before stuffing her other shoes back in her closet and slamming the door in fear that they would all roll out onto her floor.

She sighed before throwing her flipflops on the floor and slipping them on. She then looked back at her closet again glaring at it knowing she had forgotten her cover up which was in there.

So she walked over and opened the door all the shoes piling out onto her feet making her groan before grabbing her cover up from its hanger and slipping it on over her swimsuit leaving her shoes on the floor and not closing her closet door because she knew she had to leave soon.

She grabbed her sunglasses and her phone before going downstairs to see a car outside of her house waiting for her.

She smiled and locked the door knowing her parents would be back before she got back so she didn't need to bring a key to the pool party.

She walked up to the car and the window rolled down for her to see a boy with black hair and green eyes leaning over to roll down the window as he looked at her.

"Jason sent you to pick me up right?" She asked and he slowly nodded before she asked another question just to make sure he wasn't lying.

"And what type of party is it?" She raised an eyebrow and he gave her a confused look. "It's a pool party, duh."

Annabeth smiled and opened the door before sliding in the passenger's seat seeing had had passed the test. He wasn't some dude trying to kidnap her.

"Ok, just checkin'." She said and he shook his head before pulling away from her house and down the road towards Jason's house.

"I'm Percy." He said and Annabeth nodded. "Annabeth. Nice to meet you Percy." she said and he smiled before looking over at her.

"You're cute." He said looking her in her eyes and Annabeth turned pink turning away making him chuckle and Annabeth glare because some boy she had just met made her blush at a simple compliment.

"You're a bad boy aren't you?" She asked in a sharp tone and he laughed at her words.

"Not so much." He said before making a left turn as Annabeth watched him crossing her arms over her chest.

"Then what are you? Some player? A terrible flirt?" She asked and he laughed more.

"No, and I made you blush didn't I?"

Annabeth cursed under her breath fro her rosy cheeks.

Annabeth humphed and Percy chuckled before pulling into Jason's dad's yard.

Annabeth sighed and got out of the car. Thank goodness that nightmare of a car drive was over. She was thankful to be away from the way-too-attractive for her liking flirt.

She walked to the back to be greeted by Piper Jason's girlfriend and Annabeth's best friend.

"Hey Beth." She said giving Annabeth a side hug as Annabeth smiled even though she hated that nickname Piper had given her.

"What's up Pipes?" She asked and just as Piper was about to speak some Latino jerk jumped into the pool right behind her splashing them with ice-cold water.

Piper gasped as chills went up her spin Annabeth chuckling before Piper turned around and looked to see an elf looking guy stick his head out of the water.

"LEO YOU JERK! I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T WANT TO SWIM!" She kicked her foot at him and just her luck her flip-flop flew off and hit him in the eye resulting in him falling back into the water.

Annabeth laughed before throwing an arm around the angry Piper's now wet shoulders before veering her towards the coolers to grab a drink.

Annabeth got a sprite and Piper a coke with the song lyrics on it that said This Is How We do It.

After a bit of talking the Latino Elf came over and apologized before giving Piper her flip-flop back and introducing himself as Leo Valdez.

Piper nodded but glared, "Don't do it again."

Leo grinned, "Of course Beauty Queen."

Annabeth could tell Piper was resisting the urge to slap him.

Annabeth promptly left to go relax laying out on a chair that was near the pool in her swimsuit, maybe take a short nap.

"Seriously?" She heard Jason's voice filled with unbelief.

"Yeah bro, I can totally jump it." That voice was filled with confidence, she recognized that one too. It belonged to Percy.

Annabeth opened her eyes to see Percy and Jason standing at the opposite end of the pool before Jason asked everyone to either get out or stay to the sides because the amazing Percy Jackson was going to jump across the pool.

Annabeth had to see this.

She looked at Percy to see he was wearing a pair of blue swim shorts and no shirt leaving his toned chest and abs for everyone to see. She was looking him up to his face when he caught her gaze.

Percy smirked then winked at her making her blush as she glared at him.

Percy (as everyone watched him) backed up to the house and took a deep breath before running at top speed towards the pool before jumping off the edge and sailing across coming to land down on the other side.

Annabeth watched closely as he landed his one leg landing on the top where someone would walk and the other, in the water where people would swim. So you can guess how that ended.

He landed with a big thump and Piper gasped as all the guys cringed. "Holy-"

Percy fell into the water before Jason could finish.

Annabeth got up from her chair muttering Seaweedbrain as Jason and a guy named Frank helped pull Percy out of the pool as he groaned in pain.

"We need to take him inside and get him an ice pack." Piper ordered and the boys nodded before lifting him up and walking towards the house as Annabeth followed because she had pity on the boy.

As they were walking though she heard people mutter things.

"Sucks to be him."

"I feel so bad."

"He's not gonna be able to father any children."

Annabeth blushed at the last part before they walked into the cold house that was only cold because of the air conditioning.

Piper went and filled a Ziplock bag with ice as the two boys set him on the couch as Annabeth followed.

"Aww man that hurt." Percy laid his head back on the sofa his eyes closed as he swallowed deeply his adams apple going up and down when he swallowed.

"I know man," Jason said, "That landing was pretty heavy."

Annabeth could only blush at the thought.

Piper walked into the room with the bag of ice before handing it to Percy to put on his crotch which he hesitantly did. When he did he sucked in a harsh breath through his teeth and Annabeth felt really bad for him.

"That should help the swelling." Piper explained and Percy nodded looking at the floor.

Annabeth sat beside him and he glanced at her before looking back at the floor.

Everyone stood in there a moment but eventually left leaving Percy and Annabeth alone.

They just sat there in silence occasionally glancing at one another awkwardly.

"H-hey Annabeth." Percy stuttered and she looked at his face.

"Yeah?" She asked and he looked at her.

"C-can you get me more ice?" He picked up the bag and Annabeth saw every ice cube except one was melted.

"Alright." Annabeth took the bag from his hand and got up before getting more ice for him to use. After a little searching she found the ice and filled up the bag after dumping the cold water out from the older ice.

She came back in and sat next to him before handing him the ice and leaning against the couch and sighing. "Somehow I got stuck on 'Watch Percy' duty." Annabeth said in a fake annoyed voice.

"Hey, It's not my fault you haven't left yet." Percy said as Annabeth rubbed her eyes.

"That's true." She moaned before stretching out beside him and yawning.

"What's got you so tired? You stay up all night studying?"

Annabeth looked ta him wide-eyed.

"How-how-how did you know I-"

"You act like a nerd." He said looking over at her and she shook her head. "Do not."

"Do too."

"Do not!"

"Do too!"

This went on for a little each leaning a little closer each 'do not' or 'do too'.

They were nose and nose and Percy was smirking as he looked into her icy grey eyes, so sharp and stormy.

Annabeth felt her glare leaving her eyes as she starred at the wave patterns in his eyes. After a minute she noticed her glancing down to his lips which looked so soft.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Percy asking as his eyes found their way to her own lips.

"What are you thinking?" Annabeth asked and Percy chuckled smirking more.

"Oh, just something around the lines of your lips, and mine. You?"

Annabeth breathed a nervous chuckle nodding her head slightly.

"Yeah."

Percy tilted his head to the right before leaning in and connecting the gap between them pressing his lips to her own.

Just as Annabeth suspected, his lips were soft like her own. But they felt so heavenly on her own like nothing had ever felt on her lips before.

Annabeth put her arms around his neck pulling him closer deepening their slow kiss which was very slowly progressing into a quicker pace.

Annabeth felt his hand be laid on her hip his fingers sticking under her top touching her bare hip his fingers warm against her skin.

Gosh this felt so good.

Annabeth stood on her knees leaning him back against the couch their lips still together, and moving soundly.

In one swift move Annabeth straddled his waist and he gasped loudly his eyes shooting open his lips trembling against her own.

He pulled away and whimpered before resting his forehead on her shoulder muttering things.

"Too-too fast." He said and Annabeth almost felt bad until he explained. "Y-you can't straddle me Annabeth, I-I'm still sensitive. It hurts when you bump it."

Annabeth's eyes widened and she quickly yet carefully got off of him her face turning a dark shade of red even though she hadn't even sat down on his lap. Apparently she had bumped his leg which had bumped his-

"I-I'm so sorry." She apologized and Percy nodded slowly before looking over at her a little smirk playing on his lips.

"When I get better though we can do it."

"Do what?" Annabeth cocked her head to the side in confusion. Oh don't judge! Her brain was mush from kissing Percy Jackson. Yours would be too. Be honest.

Percy's smirk stretched across his face.

"We can get more comfortable with each other." Percy wiggled his eyebrows leaning towards her and Annabeth blushed more before looking down at the couch in between her legs.

"Oh gosh." She muttered making Percy laugh.

"Just kidding, Wisegirl."

Annabeth looked at him strangely.

"Yes, I did hear you call me Seaweedbrain when I fell." He said and Annabeth smiled.

"Well you are a Seaweedbrain."

"No doubt about it!" Percy said and Annabeth laughed before kissing his cheek.

"And I'm certainly a Wisegirl." Annabeth said and Percy smiled touching their noses together.

"Wisegirl with all the facts that is." He said and they both chuckled before he pecked her lips.

So they started dating, all the while Annabeth wondering how she fell in love with Percy Jackson in under a day.

Talk about a cliche Fairy-tale
