Part 9 -- A terrible night

Mahir's Pov

2 days passed.
She is completely engrossed in her work.
She used to work whole day and night in these 2 days. I am regretting now.
Why did I become so selfish?
Why did I demand for a day off.

And the worst she has a little fever also. She even forget to had her meal and medicine but I force her to eat from time to time. Such a workaholic person she is!

Suddenly that irritating monkey (CEO) entered in her cabin. He is way too irritating, always finds way flirting with her.
He sat on the chair and started his nonsense talks. But thankfully Bela shut his mouth by saying that why did he came.
I gave him a victory smile. It seems we both know that we hate each other. I tried my best to keep him away from Bela but the more I try he clinged with her more. And he a great excuse with him, their work.

Then they discussed some work related things.
After this ,he hold her hand.
My blood boiled.
How dare him!

Bela's Pov

Uff ,he is really soo irritating. I can't tolerate him for a single minute but I have to. work is work.
After that he hold my hand suddenly and proposed me for a date.
Duh!
Am I looking mad or what.
I was about to jerk his hand away when suddenly my eyes fall on Mahir. He is glaring at him and gritted his teeth as he will eat him raw. He is looking so funny. I know he doesn't like Ryan. Whenever Ryan is around me he always gives disgusted expression. he always seems unpleased by his presence.

I don't know why I enjoy this internally. So I smiled at Ryan and agreed to his proposal. Mahir was already looking at me with hopeful eyes. When I said yes to him. His face dropped. And the very moment I regretted for my doing.

Mahir's Pov

I was hoping for a negative reply from her. But damn she says yess!
Something dropped inside me. I felt burning sensation in my whole body.
And that Ryan shows his awful teeth to us. And gives her details for the date. As if he planned this for so long. I want to kill this monkey right now. I want to break all his yellow teeth, i want to snatch those goiter sized eye. I want to beat him like a punching bag. But I obviously can't.
Hat's off to my patience level!

He then left the cabin not before giving me a winner smirk.

In the car,

Bela: Ryan looks nice na. I mean he is so caring. He is always like this. I can't wait for tomorrow. I am really excited. And...
By the way, why are you not saying anything?
Waise to kabhi rukte e nahi ho...aur ab..

Mahir: Nothing. Actually I don't think you should go.

She snapped her head at me.

Me: I,I mean to say, you are working continuously for these 2 days. And now finally you have some free time, You should take rest.

I somehow make up my previous sentence.

Bela: you don't have to take stress. He will take care of that. I am sure he...

Now it's enough for me.

Mahir: stop it. Ryan Ryan Ryan. What's so nice in him? Don't we have another topic to talk? I don't want to hear anything. Please , you, you ..why are you talking with me actually. Don't talk to me. I am not your Ryan na.

I shouted.
I was really frustrated.
She was continuously repeating that monkey's name from past 1 hour.
I can't hear anyone else name from her mouth. And seeing her this much exited for going out with that money I'm really pissed off.

Suddenly I realized what the hell am I splitting out. How can I yell at her? I have no right.

Bela's Pov

From that he is again continuing his 'sorry' session. But strangely I am not at all angry, because I did this intensionally. Somewhere I wanted him to be angry.

I am laughing internally. But I stayed quiet.

Suddenly he stopped the car.
We looked Infront of our car, there is man lying on the road. Oh god, it's a accident!

Mahir: I think it's a accident. I will go and check ..

Me : let's go. Hume unhe hospital le jana hoga.

Mahir: No you wait here only. I Will go and check.

Me: But.. ok.

He went out.He was going to turn him around, and suddenly the man attacked on him.
Thankfully he hold his hand and beat him back. I got terrified. I was about to come out from the car but he said,

Mahir: Bela, kisi bhi kimat mein car se bahar mat nikalna. Apko apni maa ki kasam.

What!? But he is right. If I go there, his trouble will increase.

But No, I can't seat like this. I can't even imagine if something happens to him. They want to kill me right! I will go to them .
I tried to open the car but it is locked.
It's his habit whenever he stepped out for something leaving me behind he always locked the car.

I'm feeling so helpless.

What should I do now. I was about to call the police but my phone dropped from my hand by hearing gun shot.
Some more goons came from the road side jungle and started firing. I was so numb. I remembered that night when the goons attacked on our home. And mom took promise from me not to came out . Same thing reverses.

Mahir also has gun, he attacked them back. In no time they're all on the road. Mahir is safe !
I release my breaths which I hold, I don't remember how much time before.
But his head is bleeding.

One of them again took a gun and shot at me.
But mahir hold his hand and bullet went to the tire of our car. Mahir beat him. And ran to me. He opened the car and dragged me towards the forest, I saw behind there are more 10 to 15 goons are running behind us. And which shocked me to the core is one of them is Alic, that employee. That mean it was not just diamond robbery. Someone intensionally send him.

It was around 10 pm. The weather is too bad. It can be raining anytime. And the dark jungle. We couldn't even able to see any thing. Someone shot at me but Mahir hugged me from back. And the bullet went to him. And then and there my world was filled with darkness. i couldn't feel my legs. I turn behind.

Mahir: don't Stop. Keep running. I am fine. Bullet went away by just touching me.

And we went deep inside the forest.
And it's started raining heavily. It was impossible for me think straight. Mahir is badly injured. I saw back there was no one.

Author's Pov

The fake Alice called to their boss.

Alic: Boss they ran towards the jungle.

Boss (shouted): Then what are you doing there busturd. Go behind them and show them the way to the hell.

Alic: I assure you sir. They will not escape alive. That guy is already injured by our gun shot. And then they ran towards the deep dark forest. It's already raining. I am sure animals are already started chewing them raw or else snake will definitely bite them.

Boss: good job, but if they get back alive. You all be dead for sure.

Boss cut the phone.

Other side,

Bela: Mahir stop now. They are not behind us. Your hand is bleeding badly. Your head and hands are injured.

Mahir: Noo bela, don't stop. If something happens to you, main waise bhi mar jauga. Keep running.

Bela: Noo, pleaseee. Stop.

They went behind a tree. Bela has a hand bag with her. He took out her emergency kit. Bela was not in her normal state of mind. One small cut of him gives her immense pain and now he was about give his life for her. She was crying badly and started applying medicines. It was so dark , they can't even look eachother properly. Bela, with her shivering hand did mahir's first aid but it's not enough obviously. She wrapped her handkerchief around his wounds. The white hanky turned red due his blood and seeing him like this Bela was loosing her consciousness.

Mahir picked her up .

Bela: please Mahir drop me down. You are already injured.

She says in her half conscious state.

She was continuously protesting and says him to let her walk.

After walking for around 20 minutes. Mahir finds the highway. He saw two trucks standing near the forest. But he was scared to came out of the forest. What if they are still waiting to hurt her.
But he saw their condition. It's heavily raining. They are in dark forest. The attackers can come there also. Bela was nearly unconscious.

The truck drivers are gossiping near the road side.

He climbed on one of those perked trucks with bela in his arm.
The driver came, he didn't see them because they were hiding behind boxes .he closed the door.
Then he realised it's a cold storage. He was shouting loudly but it was no help. Outside it is thundering badly. They were completed dreched in water. It's impossible to survive. Bela was in half conscious state. She continuously calling mahir by his name. Mahir don't know what to do. The temperature is dropping low gradually.

Mahir: Bela, Bela. Don't close your eyes. Talk to me. Apni aakhe mat band karna.

Mahir cried.

Bela: Ma-Mahir...

Mahir: Haa, han. Baat karti raho. Hosh mat kho dena.
Dekho ham bas utarne hi wale hai.

He said, but he himself didn't know when it's going to stop.

He patted her cheeks.

Mahir: Bela, aap apne aakhe kyun band kar rhi ho? Meri taraf dekho. Baat karie mujhse.

Bela: Mahir your arm is bleeding.

She says like a whisper.

Mahir: Haan, dekhie, mujhe chot lagi hai. Ap dekh rahe hai na. Dekhie mujhe dard bhi ho raha hai. Aur aap aise kaise so sakti hai.

Bela: yeh sab meri wajah se hai. Pata nhi kyun jise bhi main pyar karti hoon humesha meri wajha se hurt ho jate hai.

She says in her half conscious state, but he can not hear. Because she can't speak property. Her body losses it's normal temperature.

Mabir: Kya? Main sun nhi payi.
Ap bas aise hi mujhse bate karte raho. Bas apna aakhe mat band karna.

Bela: M-Mahir, if we survived this time, you will leave this job. I want to see you as a rockstar, as a biggest singer.

She sobbed. Mahir is also shivering but continuously rubbing her feet and hands.

Mahir: No, mam. I will be your bodyguard until my last breath. You know, aap ka care karna hi mera favourite job hai.

She smiles weakly.

Bela: Tum bohout acche ho Mahir. But i can not be so selfish. I am r-responsible for your condition. See your arm is still ble -bleeding.

After sometime she stopped talking. Mahir tried his best to make her talk. He made every effort to get her senses back.

Her breath are almost stopped. Her heart was beating so slowly. he continuously rub her hands and toe. He tried all the possible way by which she can breathe normally.

After almost two hours the truck stopped.

And the driver opened the door to exchange boxes with another truck

Mahir hide behind some boxes with bela.

The drivers again busy in their talking.

In between he took her in his arm and running, suddenly he finds a cottage on the roadside.

Mahir's Pov

I break the lock and went inside.
I laid her down. I am begging her to get up. But she is stubborn we all know. Her body went numb, her face loss it's glow, it became pale. Tears flowing from my eyes continuously. I don't want to cry I know nothing will happen to her.

Me: Bela, get up, i said get up. You c-can't do this to me. Get up Bela please. Talk to me damnit.

Ok,I am holding my ears ,maine tumse kaha tha na, don't talk to me in the car. But you know na , I didn't mean that. You know na I can't live without you. You are my everything bela. Please bela... I will also die bela. Ok I admit, I said that because I was jealous. That stupid, how dare him to propose you for a date. I was so jealous and you were continuously talking about him ,I couldn't bear,.That's why I told you not to talk to me. But tum hi bolo, how can someone tolerate when his love talks about someone else. Every time I promise myself that I will not be angry because I know I don't have any right to be angry. But I couldn't stop myself to being possessive about you. Because you are only one in this world , jisse main itna chahta hoon.

Bela please open you eyes, get up. Why are you not talking with me?

But she stayed lifeless. Her body becomes cold like ice. I neared my hand to her nose she is not breathing. I put my head on her chest, there is no sign of heartbeat. And then and there my heart also stopped, my world upside down . My inside crumpled.
No no, it can't be happen.
No , i will not let you die. I am your bodyguard.
Jise dekhke meri sanse tham gaya tha. Main use sanse kabhi nahi thamne doonga.
Shayad main jo karne ja uske baad main tumse kabhi apna nazre na mila paun.shayad maid khud se nazre na mila paun, shayad main kabhi khudko maaf na kar saku,. I am sure you will hate me forever for this. I know tumhare liye tumhari self respect tumhari jaan se bhi pyaari hai. But i said na i am not perfect. main tumhe marte hue nhi dekh sakta.

I closed my eyes tightly.
I opened side chain of her dress with my shivering hands. Her dress is completely wet. I pulled her dress off. I took a shawl over us. I took off my shirt. I hold her tightly to pass the warmness of my body to her. I buried my face in her neck, i kissed her hair. I rubbed my body with her.

Please god, aap meri zindagi inhe de dijiye.

After sometime i can feel her breath on my neck. I got my life back. I hugged her tightly.
But after what I did, that guilt will kill me for sure.
I caresses her hair, and she opened her eyes.

Bela's Pov

I opened my eyes. Mahir was Infront of me. He was fine.
Then he started blabbering.

Mahir: I am sorry. I can't face you after this. You can call the police ,and get me arrested for life. What I did it was a sin. I am sorry. Mujhe kuch samajh nhi aa raha tha aapko us haal mein dekh ke. Mujhe apko bachane ke jo sahi laga wo kiya. But it was completely wrong. I am working under you. I did this without your consent. I touched you with my filthy hands. I - I am a criminal. I I

I felt an urge to do something, to comfort him, but also myself.I sushed him by capturing his lips in mine. I pressed my lips against his, felt his body loosen and arms touch my shoulders. I chuckled beneath the salty tears. Then we hovered right there, quite soundless for so long, simply feeling each other's presence. I kissed him with all the emotion I had for him. I don't know what am I doing , I don't know what is wrong what is right. He is fine and safe that's what all matter to me. I tested every corner of his mouth. I realized that I am half naked Infront of him. He is right. If it was someone else I don't know what would I do. But Infront of him I don't feel it wrong! He did all this for save my life.
I broke the kiss after how long I don't know. But I hadn't find words to express my feelings. So the kiss was the response of all his nonsense talks. How can he even think that he is a criminal. If he wants to something like that then he can took advantage of me long back. Infact he is an angel who gives me my life back and put some colours in my colourless life.

I caresses his face .

Bela: Are you ok?

Mahir: I am not after what I did.

Bela: you did nothing. You did this because you are my bodyguard. It's your duty right to protect me, mr. Bodyguard.

I tried to enlighten his mood.

Mahir: ...

Me: achha, jo hua bhul jau. Now, chalo chalte hai. Tumhe hospital jana hai check up ke liye your hand is injured.
And Mahir , I trust you. I know you will never break my trust. I know, You can't took advantage of me in your dreams.

Mahir: I promise, I'll never break your trust. And thank you so trusting me

He gets up and picked his shirt.

Mahir: I'll wait outside.

He went out. I picked my clothes and wear them.

Then I came out from that cottage. It's morning already.
