Chapter 6-- Friends Forever

Mahir's Pov

Now she is in meeting with the investors. We are in conference room. It's a confidential meeting so only Bela, me ,the CEO , the legal head of Ahuja's and the investors were in the room.
Investors were quite angry because of that fraud but Bela Ahuja is no less.

She explained the presentation and all other things .
They got very impressed by her.

She assured them that it will never happen again. She apologize behalf of her employee and she will find him anyway and make him confess the truth.

Finally they convinced and signed the deal and discussed the clauses.

Thank you God. Thank you so much.

She announced a meeting with all other employees and board heads of the company. She told them that they got the deal. They had to work hard, two times more than before and explained all other things.
And after this she warned them about this kind of fraudulent activity and says them to be more careful. Then She talked with the security department

After this she take that fraud's registration details. And we left the office.

Finally she looks happy now. She sat behind me and I am driving. She informed Aarav about it.
It's 7:30 pm in evening.

Mahir: Thank god, finally everything is sorted.

Bela: Not really. We have to find out the culprit. I mean it is next to impossible that one person can do this type of crime and nobody knew about it.

Me: We have his details right. Police is also finding him right.

Bela: Police ke varose rahe to ho gaya kam. Aur jaha tak details ki baat hai I'm sure they are all fake. He joined the company 3 months back. Itne se time pe ek zara si employee aise diamonds ke saath cherchani karna is next to impossible. We have many guards, thousands of locks, and most of them are password lock. Then how can he do this that easily and just escape.

Me: Yes, actually mam. Aisa lag raha hai chori karne ke liye hi join kiya ho. Now how will we find him? Koi plan?

Bela: Abhi tak to kuch socha nhi hai. Maine ek private detective hire kiya. Usse doondna hi parega. Company ki reputation ki sawal hai. Agar usne confess nhi kiya to fir unhe kahi na kahi lage ga company ne hi unke saath fraud karne ki koshis ki.
Let's see, what can we do.

Me: Ok mam. By the way congratulations for the deal . I am so so soo happy . I was praying to god and he listened to me finally.

Bela: That's really sweet of you Mahir. Thank you so much. Umm, I think I should give you a treat for this.
So aj ka dinner meri taraf se.

I stopped the car .

Me: But we reached to your penthouse mam.
I said disappointedly.

Bela: No problem, you go and change. I also need to freshen up and then we can go out for dinner.

Me: ok, sure mam.

We entered to the pent house. She goes to her room and I ran to my room. I locked the door and started dancing and singing. I can't believe that we are going out for a dinner.
Ok calm down. It's just a dinner.
So what? It's our first dinner outside. I am thrilled right now. I can burst with this much happiness.
But what to wear?
I pulled out my all clothes.
And finally I choose the best outfit and went for a shower.

Bela's Pov

It's Been 2 hours now. Mahir is still in his room. Mujhe to yeh samajh mein nhi aata ki boys ko kyun time lagta hai ready hone mein. Is he even going or not?
I think I should go and check out?
I went to his room and knocked the door. No reply came. So I opened the door and went inside.
What the hell is thissss.
His all clothes were scattered here and there ,look like cyclone has come in his room and I couldn't find a sign of him.

Suddenly he came out from the washroom. I stood there with shocked expression in my face.
He is shirtless, in a towel.
Then I started doing things that I could not believe myself. I started checking him out! Ok ,he is drool worthy. Water dripping from his brown hair to his perfect masculine body. And that handsomest face. My heartbeat increases.
Is that a smirk on his face?
Wait, what the hell are you doing Bela?
Now you caught red-handed.
I turned to opposite side.

Me (panicking): Wo, Main , I mean , I,I am sorry. I don't know that you were in washroom. Main to sirf ye dekhne aayi thi tum ready hue bhi ya nhi. It's been 2 hours na so I just...

Mahir: I understand mam, It's completely ok. And extremely sorry for the delay mam. I will get ready in 15 minutes.

Me: Ok.

I came out.
What was that? What am I doing?
Whatever it was, that was hell embarrassing.

He came to my room and called me. I went out. He is walking behind me.

It was nothing Bela, relax. I took a deep breath.

He opened the car door for me which was behind.

Bela: Mahir c'mon. We are going for a dinner which is a treat from me . Aj to samne baith hi sakti hoon na.

Mahir grinned and opened the door for me.
I sat beside the driver seat. And he started driving.
He put the music. But thankfully it is not like before. Infact I love this song. He really knows me so well.

Then he started the conversation as always. And I am enjoying his company as always.

Mahir : Mam, Which place do you want to go to? I mean, we have to reserve
the restaurant.

Me: No, we don't need to reserve the full restaurant. We will go to any common place.
I have been fed up with all this luxuries.
And today I have an option also , it's not any professional dinner. We are going out as friends.

Mahir snapped at my direction with shocking and amusing expression on his face.

Mahir : Friends??? Mam, really do you think me as your friend?

He asked me with great excitement in his voice.

I didn't even realize when I said that, but it is true. Of course I consider him as my friend. I've never told him before because I don't think feelings should always be said. If I hadn't consider him as my friend then I hadn't told him my past, I hadn't gotten tears in my eyes by seeing him in pain. I started smiling now, ,I started expressing my emotions with him which I had never done with anyone before, I started trusting him. I feel so relaxed when I am with him. I feel so content.

Mahir: You didn't answer ,mam.

He stopped the car as we reach and I came out from my thoughts.

Me: Yeah... So Mr. Bodyguard will you be my friend?

I asked and forwarded my hand to him.

Mahir's Pov

I became speechless. I got awestruck. I can't believe that she asked me to be her friend. You don't know, but I have already considered as my EVERYTHING. But right now, I'm sure, I am the happiest person alive in this earth.

Bela: My hand is paining Mahir. Should I take it as a 'No'?

She slowly began to take her hand back.
Whatttt, Nooooo.
I quickly grabbed her hand for a handshake.

Me: It will be my utter pleasure to have you as my friend. I already considered you as my friend mam.

She smiled.
The most beautiful smile.
This smile has my heart.

Bela: So now we are friends right. But still you call me mam? You can call me by my name.

Me: No mam. I know we are friends now. But I want to call you 'mam' . It's my respect towards you. You will always be my mam and I am your Mr. Bodyguard.

Bela: But.. Ok then. As your wish Mr. Bodyguard.

She laughed. And I lost in her smile again.
She snapped her fingers Infront of eyes.

Bela: Where do you lost again?

Me: In you.

Thankfully I murmured softly this time.

Bela: Sorry, I couldn't hear you.

Me: You should smile often ,Smile suits you.

She smiled again.

Bela: Ok, but we should go now. It's quite late now.

Me: Ok ,mam. Let's go.

Bela: But for this, you need to leave my hand first.

She smirked.

I looked at her hand which is still in my hand. I still hold her hand tightly. I left her hand quickly.

Me: S-so-sorry. I-I didn't m..

She cut me.

Bela: Offo Mahir, it's ok. Now come.

She went out from the car and me too.

The Hotel is so beautiful and elegant. It set on a hill top. It's interior design are so perfect. But nothing can be match with the outside view.

Bela: It's Beautiful Mahir. Book two table outside.

Am I say it aloud?
I think so.

Then we grabbed our seats.

Bela: What will you have?

Me: Kuch bhi. jo aap ko accha lage.

Bela: No, You will order today.

Me: But, mam..

Bela: It's a treat from me na. So don't hesitate.

Me: Seriously mam. I don't have any idea. Main aisi jagah pahle kabhi nhi aaya na. I didn't even heard about this food before.

Bela: I am so sorry. But trust me mera intension tumhe embarrass karna nhi tha. I..

She said with concerned voice. I cut her.

Me: C'mon. You can not hurt me ever. Aap kyun sorry bol rahe hai.
Now please order de dijiye. Mere pet mein rats ka cricket match chalu hai.

She smiles ,and ordered for us.

The food is looking so tempting.
I took a bite.
Ummm, it's so delicious.

Me: Mam, this is so yummy mam. You know my taste very well.

She smiles and says,

Bela: Mujhe laga hi tha , yeh tumhe zaroor accha lagega.

Soon we finished our dinner. Godd! Why everything going to end so quickly?
I wish we could stay for some more time.

She goes to washroom. And I am waiting for her outside. Suddenly my phone rings.

Bela's Pov

I stepped out from washroom and spotted Mahir. He is in phone. He talked with someone smilingly. I can clearly hear him and what I heard is enough to spoil my mood.

Mahir: Thank you so much sweetheart.

Mahir: But I am so angry with you. You forget me totally.

Mahir: I can't wait to meet you.

Mahir: I love you too and see you.

And that last line.... Something has broken inside my heart. I felt like he betrayed me! I know, mukhe aisa feel karna nhi chaie even I don't know why am I feeling like this. Uske life mein life koi aur hai, isse mujhe koi fark nhi parna chaie. After all we are just friends right.
But friends to ek dusre se sab kuch share karte hai. Aur Mahir ne yeh baat mujhe ab tak nhi bataya.

Mahir turned to me and said,

Bela: Oh you came, I-...

I stormed out. He called me from behind. But I didn't even spare a single glance to him.

I sat in the car. He ran towards me and quickly sat on the driver seat.

Mahir hold my shoulder and asked,

Mahir: Are you ok? Why were you ran like this? Is there any problem? Do you need anything....

Me: ....

Mahir: Kuch to boliye.. Aap chup kyun hai. Kya hua? Maine kuch kiya kya? Mujhse kuch galti ho gayi kya. Ok see, I am holding my ears.

I looked at him. He is holding his ears. After looking at him, my vision blurred. My eyes can start pooling anytime. Even my tears are going to betray me today. Before meeting him I didn't even remember when last time I cried before someone. And look, this is the second time I am crying before him in this 5 months. I became a crybaby! I somehow controlled my tears but unfortunately he sees them in my eyes.

Mahir: Mam, what happened? What's wrong? Is everything alright? Now you are giving me tension.

Bela: Nothing Mahir. You don't need to panic yourself for me. Waise se tumhe kya fark parta hai.

Mahir: Mujhe fark parta hai...

Oh ,how can I forget! I am your newly found buddy after all.

Bela: It's just a headache. Let's go home.

Mahir: Pa....

Bela: Please, do as I say.

He started driving.

What am I doing? Why am I mad at him? It's natural that he has someone in his life. What's so big deal Bela? But he can atleast tell me about her. Dost samajhta to itna to bol sakta tha na.
Who can be his partner?
She must be very beautiful.
Is he married already!

I gulped the lump in my throat. My inside started crying. Now please dear tears don't come out for god's shake. Control yourself Bela Ahuja.
My head is actually paining badly that it can explode anytime. Look at my misery I can't even express my anger to him.

We reached. Thank god. Now I can go to my room. Jaha pe Mahir nhi hoga.

I was about to come out when he called me ,

Mahir: Please bataiye na ,kya baat hai. Kya problem hai. Ab to office mein bhi to sab sorted hai. Aur kuch der pahle tak bhi ap itna khush the. To what happened so suddenly? Please tell me, what's the problem?

Bela: You , You are my problem. Kya mujhe itna bhi haq nhi hai ki jan saku kon hai wo ladki. Afterall we are friends now. I told everything about myself. And itni badi baat tumne batane ki zaroori bhi nhi samjha?

Mahir: Whattt? Kon ladki? Kon si baat? I'm seriously not getting you.

Me: Stop this drama now. I heard when you were busy with your sweetheart in your phonecall.

I said. I opened the car door and about to go. When he pulled me and I landed on his chest and he hold me by my waist.

Me: Leave me Mahir. I don't want to talk to you. Leave.

Mahir: But I want to talk to you.

We are sooo close. I completely landed on him. He hold me tightly. My hairs are covers our faces. I looked at his eyes which are already set on mine ,that beautiful eyes. Stop it Bela, he is someone else's not yours. I started pushing him. But he hold me more tightly.

Bela: Please leave me.

Mahir: No. I don't. You have to hear me out.

Bela: Mah..

Mahir: She is kuhu.

Now he is going to tell me about his girl friend/ wife. No, I can't hear. I know I wanted him to tell me about her but no, I jerked him away from me and started going.

Mahir: She is my elder sister.

I snapped my head towards him. Shocked.

He continued.

Mahir: She called me to wish. She got married 2 years back,so we didn't meet for so long. She is pregnant and Mumma is also staying with her. I was talking to them only.

God!
I should thank god first.
He was not talking to his girlfriend but his family.
But I think I created a huge scene.
Stupid me.
Whatever it is, I am so happy now.

I hugged him tightly. I buried my face in his neck. At first he didn't reciprocate but then he hold my back. I don't know why I behaved like this. My relief washed over me after hearing this.

Me: Thank you so much Mahir ,and sorry.

Mahir: But for what?

Me: Forget it. You didn't tell me, for what did she wish you?

Mahir: Wo, actually Today is my birthday.

I broke the hug. Still he is holding me.

Author's Pov

Bela: What! I am such a bad friend. I didn't even know your birthday. But I think I should curse myself later.
Happy Birthday Mr. Bodyguard.

She giggled.

Mahir smiled.

Mahir: Thank you Mam.

Bela: We should celebrate. First tell me.What gift do you want from me?

Majir: Nothing mam. I mean yeh sab ka kya zaroorat hai.

Bela: No You have to demand. After all you are my friend right.

Mahir: yes ,Of course I am your friend. But honestly I don't want anything.

Bela: I don't know anything you have to say it now.

Mahir's Pov

Now she is stubborn. But seriously I don't understand what to demand.

Bela: Mahir I am waiting...

Um..kya mangu. Main to bohut khush hoon apni zindagi mein. Har saal main vagwan ji se kuch na kuch mangta rahta hoon apni Birthday pe. But is saal main yeh mangta hoon wo is duniya ke saari khushiyan tumhe de de.
Aur tumse milne ke baad bas aisa lagta ab is zindagi se aur kuch nhi chaie. I got everything after meeting you.

She is still waiting...

Me: Mam, I want to spend my birthday with you. Mujhe kal ka poora din aap ke saath bitana hai. But I understand it's not possible, you are so busy. So next year we...

Bela: Bas itni si baat. Of course we can...
Ok, so tomorrow we are going out for the whole day.

Mahir: But mam you...

Bela: No more argument. It's my friend's birthday. I would love to spend your day with you.

Mahir: But office mein..

Me: Offo, you don't have to take tension. I will manage. Afterall I am the boss. Kuch advantages to milni chaie nhi.

Bela's pov

He is right. I have a very busy schedule tomorrow and day after. But I will work 2 times more.
He constantly says me to next year next year. But this first time he demanded something from me. How can I deny? It's his first birthday with me. I also want to spend the day with him.

Bela: So decided. We are going to spend you Birthday together.

Me: Ok. Mam. I never have came Italy before. So can we roam around the city?

Me: Ofcourse, we can. Italy is beautiful. You will love it.

Mahir: I am so exited. But it's already 1:55 am. You worked for the whole day. And your head is also paining na?

Me: I am fine now.

I am very much fine after knowing Kuhu is your sister.

Mahir: Ok, but you take your medicines. And Good night mam, Sweet dreams, sleep well.

Bela: Good night.

We stepped out from the go to our room.
