The first day of Hogwarts was not bad. If Divinition wasn't taken into count. I have made some good friends here . I'm happy they aren't like my friends in Beauxbotons .

          Today's first lesson was Transfiguration. This was my first class with Professor McGonagal. Eva said she was very strict . But I like her dedication. Luckily we had this class with the Gryffindor's. 

         I took a seat next to Eva . Lily and Alice sat diagonally to us. Dani sat with Gregory.(I think)  There was a cat sitting on the teachers desk. Nobody else seems to be saying anything. Infact everyone were rather very quite. As if Professor McGonagal was already in the class.

           Suddenly two boys barged inside the class. They were looking for someone. They were walking towards the back bench when suddenly the cat jumped from the desk and changed into Professor MacGonagal. 

          "Not so fast boys. Do one of you have a particular reason to be late ??" she said.

            They looked at her  and shaked  their heads. 

            "Very well then go take a seat . I do not want this to repeat " she said.

             They took a seat behind lily and Alice. Eva somehow had not seen the boys entering. The moment they took they sat down she looked up from her book and stared at them with googly eyes. As if she was going to eat them there and then.Professor MacGonagal was busy explaining about how important this year is. And all that stuff.

              "Oh my god!!! He has become sexier than the last time I had seen him"she whispered to herself. . I raised my eyebrow at her. 

                She heaved a sigh and pointed at a boy with very untidy blak hair. "His name is James Potter"she said.

                "And the boy beside him he is the heart throb of this school. Every girl in our year wishes to be his girlfriend. He has all the girls wrapped in his fingers.He is the famous Sirius Black. I always wanted to talk to him maybe one day even date him. But the thing is he isn't interested in dating" she said. She was head over heels for this guy.

             I couldn't see this boy , his back was facing us at the moment. Even his back was in an elegant posture. The way he leaned his back and occassionally moving his long fingers between his thick black hair. 

            I realised I was staring at this boy for a long time . I shaked my head and tried to listen  to Professor MacGonagal.

            "Today's lesson is  about vanishing spells. They are easier than Conjuring Spells which you would not usually attempt until N.E.W.T level but they are still among the most difficult magic you will be tested on in your O.W.L" she said .

             She was wrong though. The Vanishing Spells were not that difficult. I didn't get it in the first attempt. I tried it for the second time and got it. 

             Professor MacGonagal was walking around the classroom. She stood near my table.

            "Very good Miss White!!!" she said happily. 

            "Ten points to Ravenclaw"she beamed at me and walked forward. 

              Dani turned towards me . There  was pride in her eyes. " That was amazing Alexa!" she said and turned back to her work.

                For the latter half of the class I helped Eva. Eva's focus was however on the boy sitting across us. 

              "Concentrate Eva !!" I scolded her.

               She looked at me with her puppy eyes and said sorry. I pulled her cheeks and told her to focus. Soon the class ended. I bid farewell to lily and Alice and headed towards my next class. It was Charms.We had Charms with the Hufflepuff's.

             Our teacher was Professor Flitwick. He was already in class. 

            "What you must remember" he said standing over a pile of books " is that these exams may influence your future for many years to come. If you have not given serious thoughts to your careers, now is the time to do so. And in the meantime we will be working harder than ever. Alright children let's begin. " 

          We practiced Summoning Charms for almost an hour . The lesson rounded off with the largest amount of Charms homework . I was sulking when I got out of the class.

          "Alexa cheer up we won't get  homework for Herbology. Professor Sprout is too kind"eva said as we headed towards the greenhouses.

           Dani laughed and said"Please Eva, Flitwick never gave us this much homework in our four years of Hogwarts. Everyone would be stressing us with exams and homework. This is going to be a crazy year" she said as we entered the greenhouse.

          Just as Dani predicted we got a lot of homework. Tired of smelling dragon dung I trooped out of the greenhouse alongside Eva and Dani.

          It was lunch time we headed towards the library. As we reached there I saw lily and Alice already sitting on our spot with lunch . 

         "Thank you so much for bringing the lunch. You guys are life savers" I exclaimed.

           I sat on a chair across lily.

        "What's got into you today ??" alice asked.

           Lily gave me some pumpkin juice.

          "We suffered the ' homework' wrath of Professor Flitwick and Sprout" Dani answered for me.

           Lily laughed and Alice chuckled. Eva started talking about something. Seriously this girl can talk about anything. 

           I was just silently listening to their conversations and sipping my pumpkin juice with delight.

         I looked around myself and saw such good friends. For the first time in my life I was truly happy . 

        It wasn't a bad idea coming to Hogwarts after all.
