"Don't worry honey " my mother patted my back and comforted me. I smiled at her and nodded my head.

  " Should I come inside. I have to leave Alex as well....."I cut her off and said "No it's alright mom  I am a big girl. I can go in by myself." 

    "Ok honey take care . Behave yourself. Write to me regularly. I will come pick you for Christmas. Bye honey!!'' saying that she turned and left.

     Here I was standing in front of Kings Cross Station. I walked towards platform nine and three quarters. I got a bit confused about the platform. There was no sign of any platform nine and three quarters . I gripped my trunk and took a deep breathe.

     Suddenly I saw a boy and a lady  pass through the barrier that divided platform nine and ten. I thought I was dreaming . But then I calmed myself and thought that it's magic. It never makes sense and it doesn't have to make sense.

          I imitated the boy and the lady's action . Once I reached the other side I saw many students and their parents hugging them and kissing them goodbye. Sighing I went towards the train and boarded it . The train wasn't that crowded as all the students were still standing on the platform

      I  walked further into the train and entered a compartment . I sat down and settled myself. I looked at my wristwatch and saw that it was only 10:40. The train leaves by 11:00. I sighed to myself and thought this was going to be a long ride..
