Chapter 16: Stay the Night.

I honestly don't know what to do. There! I said it.

Soft music played in the speakers of my car as I drove towards the dormitory. I tried calling the girls but none of them picked up. Daw and Asteria's phones were switched off and I didn't have the other two's number. I tried searching for Indah's phone but she said it was with Ace. Just great.

So here I was, driving her back to the dorms at 2am. There was no way to hell I was knocking on the girl's doors at this time of the night.

"Come on" I said, opening the door of the passenger seat of my SUV. She got off and held her head.

"You okay there?" I asked her and she nodded slowly. I shut the door behind her and locked the car before walking with her into the dorms. The guards were sleeping and its Friday night, well Saturday morning so the curfew can be a little bent.

We walked up to her floor slowly and finally when we reached her room, we set on the floor outside. Her head rested on my shoulder and her breathing was ragged.

"Key card" I asked her and she groaned.

"Phone"

Oh great again. The same phone that was with Ace. What is wrong with this girl!?

"Okay. Spare?" I asked her.

"Ayaka"

Double great!

"Okay. Wait here while I go downstairs and get the key card from the guards, okay?" I say and she nodded, sitting up straight.

"You want water?" I asked her and she shook her head. I stood up and held out my hand. She took is and I pulled her to her feet. She smiled gratefully at me.

"Stay here, I will be back" I said and she nodded.

I turned around and ran downstairs towards the security booth at the end of the lobby. I asked them for her room's key card, making up the story that she is locked out.

They; finally after a hundred questions, gave in and handed me the card. I ran back upstairs, taking two steps a time.

"Why don't you get it!? I really like-" slap. I rushed upstairs and faced an angry Ace and a crying Indah. Oh man. Why did my night turn out like this?

"Ace" I warned, walking to him. He turned to me and chuckled lowly. It was clear he was high, somewhat like drunk.

"Ah Kirun on the rescue"

"Go home Ace. You know what happens when you are drunk"

"Home? Ah yes. Not without her" he said, turning to Indah and grabbing her arms harshly.

"Let go, Ace" I warned and he turned to me and glared. Awh don't tell me I didn't warn you.

I slammed my hand on the elbow joint of his hand which was holding Indah's and he winced in pain, leaving her arm.

"Go. Home" I said firmly and he glared at me. He held his hands up to throw a punch and I dodged it, hitting his pressure point at the back of his shoulder, causing him to lose consciousness.

I got hold of Indah's arms and opened her room's door.

"Take whatever you need. You are staying over at mine tonight" I said and she nodded, walking in.

I waited outside her door, looking at Ace wincing in pain. I dialed his butler's number and asked him to pick Ace up from the dorms.

A tap came on my shoulder and I turned to her. She held up her hand.

"Lets go" I took it and she shut the door before we both walked to my floor. I opened my room's door and ushered her in before locking it.

"I am sorry that you have to stay here. There is no way I am knocking at the girl's door at this time of the night" I said, taking off my shoes. When I heard no reply from her, I looked up to see her seated on the sofa with a distant look.

I sighed and walked over to where she was sitting.

"Indah?" I called out to her. I got no reply. I called out once again and no reply. A few times more and still no reply.

I tapped on her shoulder and she snapped out of her trance with a 'huh'.

"You want food?" I asked her and she shrugged, looking ahead of her again. I silently walked to my mini fridge and took hold of a bottle of Fiji Water before walking back to her. I placed the cold water bottle on her cheeks and she jumped at her seat, looking up at me furiously.

I grinned.

"Drink it up. It will help" she glared at me before taking the bottle and drinking water.

"You should get changed" I told her and she sighed deeply, looking down at herself.

"I feel so dirty" she muttered and I smiled.

"Its okay. I assure you my bathing detergent cleans good" I winked and she stared at me before bursting into a chuckle.

"Its called soap." she said, rolling her eyes. It was nice to see her like this.

"Go shower. I'll order us pizza" I said and she checked the time on her watch.

"Its 2:40am, which pizza place will be open?" she said and I smirked.

"Sunni's is a 24 hour pizza place" I replied and she gaped at me.

"Seriously?!" she asked me and I shook my head, hitting her forehead lightly.

"They are open from 6pm to 6am for people like us" I replied and she nodded, getting up.

"The bathroom is there-" I say, pointing to the door near the entrance of my room. "-the closet is linked to it with a door so feel free to change there. I will hand you a towel"

I told her that before walking over to my closet and rummaging for a spare towel. Finally I found it and handed it to her.

"Go shower"

While she was in the bathroom, I called up Sunni's and ordered pizza. I lay on the sofa of my room and thus began my train of thoughts.

"Hey Google. Find me good comedy movies"

"Good Comedy movies mentioned on the web include charming, bridesmaids amongst others"

I looked at my phone and sighed deeply.

"Lets watch Charming I guess"

The closet doors shut close and I craned my neck from the sofa to see Indah walking towards me.

"Hey" she said, pushing her hair away from her face. She was fidgeting with her hands and I knew she was nervous.

"I ordered pizza. Pick a movie" I said and she stared at me incredulously.

"Its 3am Kirun!" she said, striding towards the sofa I was laying on. She hit my legs and I groaned, getting up. She then took a seat beside me on the other end of the sofa, leaning of the arms.

"So? I know you won't sleep and its Saturday morning!" I replied and she sighed.

"I have cheer practice the entire day" I shrugged at her reply.

"You can be late. It is for the best. I am sure the girls can understand" I said and she shook her head at me.

"Fine. Just one movie" she said and I nodded, getting up. Just then I caught the glimpse of her tees.

"Indah Cactus Gesang. Is that my shirt?!" I asked her incredulously and she immediately covered herself with the pillow I was laying on.

"No" she huffed out, looking everywhere but me. I smirked.

"You stole my god forsaken t-shirt! Do you have any idea how much I looked for it?" I asked her and she smiled at me sheepishly.

"I did not steal it. It was with my cardigans so I kept it" she replied and I shook my head at her.

"Never mind"

I walked into my bathroom for a shower when I remembered that I didn't tell her about the pizza thing. I stuck my head out of the bathroom and yelled for her.

"What?!" she snapped back. Ah she is back.

"If the security calls for pizza, just ask him to bring it up and pay him. The money is at the study table" I said and shut the bathroom door.

Indah walked onto the beach, her flip flops dangling in her hands. The sea breeze rushed through her hair, causing the lose bangs to sway with it. She carefully threaded through the shores where water hit her feet leaving them cold upon touch. She smiled in contentment.

This was what felt like peace.

"STOP!!!" Her peaceful moment was cut short by the screeching voice of her best friends yelling at each other. The Japanese said bestie ran towards her and gestured to the other three running towards them.

"Stop them please" she begged and Indah let out a laugh.

"What happened?"

By then, the other girls were with them, walking at Indah's pace.

"I just said Love is in the air" teased Kanak and Indah raised an eyebrow.

"So is Nitrogen and pollution but you don't see us complaining" replied Indah and Kanak rolled her eyes.

"Not that. There was this really cute dude hitting on this idiot and she walked out on him" explained Asteria and Indah turned to Ayaka with a smirk. Ayaka let out a groan.

"How many times do I repeat myself, I am not interested!" she said and the girls let out a laugh.

"But love is an open door, darling" jested Asteria.

"Close it" replied Ayaka and Indah let out a loud laugh at this one.

"Nice"

"Anyway, you guys enjoy. I am going for a swim in the pool" said Kanak, stopping.

"Alright. I will see you guys soon" said Indah and Ayaka stood her ground.

"I am staying back with her. You guys go"

The girls shook their heads at her before walking away.

"I swear they are crazy" muttered Ayaka, walking beside Indah down the beach.

"Ah. They are crazy? What about you? You walked out on a cute guy" said Indah, looking over to Ayaka. Ayaka let out a small smile.

"I don't believe in love or relationships."

Indah wasn't shocked to hear such a statement from Ayaka. In fact, she had expected it.

"I expected it"

"Yeah. So it is not going to happen"

"After all, whoever said money can't buy happiness-" said Indah and Ayaka grinned.

"Never knew where to shop" she completed and the girls chuckled. And moments like these were the ones that made their bond stronger.
