"After all, Seoul is to die for."
His eyes were void of emotion, no trace of warmth in them, even though his smile looked warm and welcoming. Yoongi hesitantly smiled back at him, trying his best to look oblivious. To look like he didn't know—
Calm down Yoongi.
"Well, breakfast already awaits for you two downstairs. Don't keep the President waiting. He's very ecstatic to show you around Seoul."
Yoongi felt his waist being released by Hoseok, who had finally decided to wake up. He shot a dirty look at Taehyung.
"What are you doing here?" Hoseok almost sneered. Taehyung raised an eyebrow, surprised by the look Hoseok was giving him.
"I was just leaving." Taehyung cleared his throat, smiling wanly at him."Don't keep the President waiting."
As soon as Taehyung closed the door, Hoseok sat up on the bed— immediately grabbing his phone.
"What are you doing?" Yoongi asked curiously.
"Trying to save us," He replied nonchalantly."Go shower. You heard Tae. We can't keep President Jeon Jungkook waiting."
"Are you going to call anyone?" Yoongi asked, getting up from the bed. He started rummaging through the closet, trying to find something comfortable to wear.
"None of your business," Hoseok stated sharply."All you need to know is that we are surviving today. Maybe."
There was a warning tone behind Hoseok's voice, warning Yoongi not to pry further, so he just nodded, and after grabbing all the things he needed, Yoongi went into the bathroom.
What if we don't survive today?
Yoongi shook his head, trying to rid himself of those negative thoughts. The probability of him dying today had to be slim, or perhaps not at all.
Maybe Yoongi had just imagined everything that Taehyung and Seokjin had said.
But there was nothing to justify Taehyung's remarks when he saw Hoseok and I...
Even though the cold water was running down his back, he could feel himself heating, his cheeks fueling with blush as he remembered the way he woke up.
Hoseok's arms were around my waist.
Yoongi could almost feel the soft yet rough touch of his arms around his waist, his arms unconsciously wrapping around himself. Yoongi's lips began to lift upwards before catching myself.
It had only been a day. How was he already starting to feel all of these things? These feelings were foreign but familiar at the same time. Something that he had never done but felt natural— especially with Hoseok.
As if in agreement, Yoongi's mark began to flash gold, illuminating the walls of the shower. It left as quickly as it came, fading back to its translucent state.
Yoongi's mind drifted to Hoseok. In a day, he had learned much about him, but he hadn't told Yoongi anything about him yet. Hoseok had failed to mention anything about himself. He was an observer, not someone who told anything. Apart from the gestures Yoongi had already ingrained in his mind, he knew almost nothing about Hoseok.
All Yoongi knew was that he had a phone, a phone in which he used to communicate with his 'Baby'.
Well then was he really trustworthy?
"Yoongi, are you done?" Hoseok asked."There's no time for luxuries here. If you don't want me coming in there, then get out within a minute."
Yoongi's eyes widened at his statement.
"Y-you wouldn't dare!"
Hoseok chuckled. "Trust me, I would if necessary. Now hurry up."
🌟
Hoseok and Yoongi hurriedly walked down the stairs and into the dining room, where Jungkook was waiting. As soon as Jungkook saw them, his eyes lit up. He set down his fork and clapped his hands together in obvious excitement.
"Yoongi! Hoseok! Sit, sit! We have lots to do today." He said, gesturing towards the chairs.
"I'm sorry we're late," Hoseok apologized."Yoongi decided to take too long in the shower."
"Well, you told me to go first!" Yoongi scowled at him."I lost track of time."
"Don't worry it's fine." Jungkook smiled, waving the excuse off. "At least you guys are here now. Now hurry eating. We have a lot to do today."
Yeah, like murdering us.
Yoongi studied Jungkook's face, attempting to search for any weaknesses. Unfortunately, he could find none, so Yoongi forced myself to relax. Jungkook seemed like a good person. Yoongi wasn't so sure the boy could take part in something so violent, not with how childlike Jungkook's spirit was.
"So Jungkook, what are we doing today?" Hoseok asked, taking another bite of his food.
"Well, we're going to go to all the famous spots of course!" Jungkook grinned."I'm taking you to my favorite place in Seoul. It's going to be so much fun!"
"What's your favorite place?" Yoongi asked curiously.
"You'll see." He replied coyly."Are you guys done now? Taehyung has been awfully impatient. I'm sure he's excited to show you his favorite spots too!"
The excitement Jungkook gave off was almost palpable. A twinge of pity flashed in Yoongi's chest at the sight of the poor boy, a kid that was forced to adulthood at such a short age. It was hard to believe that someone as innocent looking, as childlike as Jungkook would order anyone's death.
He looked like he couldn't hurt a fly.
"You haven't had anything to drink yet." Jungkook said."Come on. Drink your coffee!"
Hoseok and Yoongi nodded, smiling at him. Yoongi drank the bitter liquid, feeling it run down his throat and into his swirling stomach. As soon as they were done with our food, Jungkook led them outside where two vehicles awaited.
"Jungkook and I will ride this one." Taehyung gestured."Safety precautions you know."
"Of course." Hoseok nodded, gently nudging Yoongi. Yoongi took it as a sign to keep quiet, knowing his voice would betray them. Yoongi still hadn't the faintest idea of how Hoseok was going to get them out of this predicament. He was curious, to say the least because everywhere he looked, Yoongi could see no way of escaping— except maybe with help.
But whose help could Yoongi and Hoseok have? They were all alone in the lion's den.
"No one knows that you two are in this car which should prevent anything happening to you two." Taehyung smiled."You will be safe."
"First stop..."
Jungkook's voice faded as Yoongi's mind began to drift around the same thoughts.
Death.
"Come on." Hoseok pushed Yoongi gently to the car. After Yoongi got in, Hoseok followed his nose wrinkling at how hot the car was. Yoongi did not fail to notice Hoseok's hand grabbing his phone securely, watching as Hoseok repeatedly looked at his phone— as if waiting for someone's response.
One.
Two.
The car began moving slowly, before speeding up to the speed limit of the road. As soon as they left the President's mansion, the car sped up, causing Yoongi to lurch forward in his seat.
"Excuse me, whoever is running this vehicle. Can you please slow down?" Yoongi asked, feeling a sharp pain in his head.
There was no response.
The car only accelerated faster at the statement. Hoseok raised an eyebrow and turned towards Yoongi, biting his lower lip in confusion.
"We're following too closely unless--"
The car turned sharply to the right, causing Hoseok to lean against Yoongi. Yoongi turned back, noticing that now, they were nowhere near the President's vehicle.
"I think you're going the wrong way." Yoongi said to the person driving."You should turn back."
Still no response.
"Oh for the love of—" Hoseok sighed, moving the window on the inside of the car, the one separating the driver and them.
"W-wait Hoseok there's no one there." Yoongi's voice shook as he said those worse, the pain in his head getting stronger."Hoseok, no one is driving!"
"Jung Hoseok. Min Yoongi. Your pairing makes you enemies of the Republic."
Hoseok tried to open the doors of the car but failed. He cursed loudly, banging against the side door as he searched for potential weaknesses. Meanwhile, all Yoongi could do was hold his pounding head, sweat starting to appear in his forehead.
"Enemies of the Republic have no place in the Republic."
Hoseok banged against the door repeatedly and Yoongi started to the same, attempting to ignore the headache. A wave of nausea fell over Yoongi and he stopped, shrinking back into the seat as a groan escaped his lips.
"This vehicle will self destruct in one minute."
The sentence swam in Yoongi's ears and mind. His vision blurred, fatigue overtaking him as he tried to remain conscious. Yoongi heard Hoseok shout, but he couldn't decipher the words that Hoseok had stated. He tried moving to no avail. None of his body parts seemed to work, not coordinating, much less cooperating with him.
There was a loud noise coming from the side. Yoongi could barely register as a pair of arms grabbed him, pulling him to who knew where. Spots filled his eye vision, preventing him from seeing properly.
It was as if time had slowed significantly. Yoongi couldn't make out anything that was happening. He couldn't feel anything. He couldn't hear anything anymore. He couldn't see anything. He couldn't smell anything.
Yoongi had lost all his five senses.
His breathing began to slow, heart taking fewer beats than usual.
Yoongi felt a sharp pain in his back and head, only increasing to the now unbearable headache. But no matter what he wanted to do he couldn't scream. Yoongi was trapped.
The last thing Yoongi remembered was something hitting him in his chest before his vision faded to black.
