Chapter 21
It was the first night home and I was so tired. The girls woke up screaming every hour and I was already tired from barely sleeping over the past two days.
"I'll get it," Frank mumbled as Lily started crying.
"Is she hungry?" I muttered sleepily.
"No, she just needs a diaper change," he said.
I fell back asleep, yawning softly. The kids ended up getting up nine more times within the seven hours we were meant to be sleeping. Frank got up each time, insisting that I should just sleep. Even when they needed to be eat I laid on my side and fed them, eventually falling asleep but Frank stayed up to watch them.
"Where are you going?" I asked when Frank got out of bed and started getting dressed.
"I've gotta go to work," he said.
"Already?" I asked, rubbing my eyes. "We just got home."
"Yeah but I gotta save up money for the girls," he said.
I looked at him with a small frown. He looked pale and there were dark bags under his eyes.
"You look like shit," I mumbled.
"Well, good morning to you too, Sunshine," he said.
"You shouldn't be going to work, you need some rest," I said.
"No, baby, it's okay," he said. "Just stay here and relax and take care of the babies for me."
He smiled gave me a soft kiss and smiled.
"I love you," he said.
"I love you too," I said.
Frank walked off to the cribs, giving them both kisses before he left the room. I yawned as I curled up and fell back asleep. I woke up a little while later and panic ran through me when I saw both the cribs empty. I went downstairs and sighed when I saw Linda with my kids.
"How are you feeling?" She asked as I sat down in the recliner.
"Still just tired and sore,' I said.
"Well, the twins were fussy earlier and I think they're hungry," she said.
"How do I feed both at once?" I asked.
"Well, you got the nursing pillow at your baby shower," she said.
She gave me my kids and got the nursing pillow. It was like this hard pillow in the shape of a U that wrapped around my stomach. My kids laid on either side and I sighed as I nursed them.
"What do you want for breakfast?" She asked.
"Um, I don't know," I said. "Cereal is fine."
"You know now you can eat with as much syrupy sugar you want," she said.
"I also wanna try and lose the baby weight so I don't wanna be eating too much junk," I said.
"I can make some of my crepes, I know you love those," she said.
I nodded and she smiled as she went to the kitchen. I looked down at my daughters, smiling as I gently cradled their heads.
"Do you know what time Frank is gonna be home?" I asked.
"Oh, not until later," Linda said from the other room. "I think that he told me he would be home around one or two."
I sighed as I looked around, wishing I could just magically turn on the tv with my brain. Frank Sr. came down and the only thing I could do now was just watch sports.
"Good morning," Linda said, giving Frank Sr. a cup of coffee.
I gasped. "I can actually drink coffee now."
"I'll get you a cup," she said.
I smiled as she left before coming back a minute later with a cup of coffee, putting it on the coffee table for me. She gave Frank Sr. a kiss before standing straight.
"I'm having some old high school friends come by later," Frank Sr. said
"Okay, that's fine," Linda said.
She gave him another kiss before she walked into the kitchen. Lily started crying, turning away from me.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
I held Cherry in place while I burped Lily.
"You okay now?" I asked.
I pulled her closer again and she didn't want to eat. I sighed and pulled my shirt down on that side, letting her just lay there peacefully. Cherry finished up eating and I pulled my shirt down completely.
"Are you full, little princess?" I cooed.
My daughters looked up at me as they gurgled quietly and I smiled. I held their hands and they wrapped their little hands around my finger and I smiled. I tried to move the babies so I could stand up put them in their bouncer seats. Frank Sr. came over and took Lily and put her into her seat. I bent over to set Cherry in and I felt his hands on my waist as he stood behind me, my ass against his crotch.
"M-Mr. Iero," I gasped, turning around. "I-I don't know what you're thinking but you c-can't touch me like that."
"What are you talking about?" He asked.
"You keep touching me and it's inappropriate," I said. "I'm seventeen and dating your son."
"I don't know what you're talking about," he said. "Gee, honey, I think you're just tired, you haven't gotten a whole lot of sleep. You must just be imagining things a little bit. I promise I would never touch you inappropriately."
"M-maybe it was just my imagination," I mumbled. "I-I have hardly slept at all."
"It was," he said. "You should just sit down and relax and I can get you some tea or something, would you like some tea?"
"N-no," I mumbled.
He went off to the kitchen and I sniffled. Oh god I was so tired. I just wanted to eat breakfast and then fall asleep. That's just what I did when Linda finished cooking her crepes filled with cream and strawberries and drizzled with chocolate sauce and powdered sugar. I ended up laying down and taking a nap on the couch.
I jerked awake to the sound of voices, looking around in shock and confusement. I looked over at where Frank Sr. was standing with a couple of other people who looked his age. I saw my daughters sleeping in their seat and I sat up, rubbing my eyes.
"You should head upstairs, Gee," Frank Sr. said. "The men are talking now, you can go try on a dress or make a sandwich or something."
I scowled as I picked up my daughters and went upstairs. I set them on my bed and smiled as I looked at them. The clock told me it was already past noon and Frank would be home soon. I sat at the desk and started drawing, making sure to keep an eye on the kids. They were calm for the most part but I did have to change Cherry's diaper once.
Frank came home and he smiled sleepily as he gave me a kiss. He took off his uniformed shirt and threw on one of his band shirts instead. He laid with his daughters on the bed, smiling as he kissed both their foreheads. He fell asleep with both his daughters laying on his chest. I smiled, taking a quick picture.
They would need to eat soon, it's been a few hours since they last ate. I went downstairs to where Frank Sr. and his friends were talking and drinking. I grabbed my nursing pillow and felt nausea wash over me when I saw them all stare at my ass.
"Have you ever thought about losing weight?" the person asked. "A thinner waist would make you look prettier."
"I gave birth two days ago," I stated.
I grabbed the pillow and went upstairs, smiling when I saw both of the twins sleeping peacefully. I kissed Frank's forehead and he mumbled softly as he stirred awake. He looked down at his daughters and smiled.
"Good morning, handsome," I said.
Frank smiled up at me sleepily and I ran my fingers through my hair. I gave him a kiss and sighed.
"You want some food?" I asked. "I'm sure you're hungry and you can't exactly move."
"Can I just have some popcorn?" He asked.
I nodded, going down to put a packet of popcorn in the microwave. I waited for it to finish and grabbed two cans of pop before heading back upstairs. He smiled happily, stuck laying down. As soon as they woke up I grabbed them and sat at Frank's desk chair. I pulled my shirt up over my chest and pulled them close to feed them.
"Does it hurt?" Frank asked curiously as he turned on his laptop.
"A little bit, especially for the first thirty seconds after they latch," I said. "I read that the pain will go away after the first few weeks. I'm just kinda sore and tender."
He smiled, switching over to Netflix. I fed the babies before struggling to stand up with both babies and the nursing pillow.
"Frankie?" I asked.
He helped me with the kids and I put them into the cribs. I curled up with him in bed and smiled as he held me close to him. I sat in between his legs, his front pressed to my back.
"I love you," he whispered.
"Love you too," I said.
He ran his fingers through my red hair and I smiled. Frank ended up falling asleep and I smiled, kissing his cheek. I tucked him into the bed to let him sleep, he was really tired and he just needed to rest.
Linda made dinner and I sighed as I went downstairs. I headed to the kitchen and I smiled as I looked down at the pan of food.
"Hey there, where's Frank?" She asked.
"He's tired," I said. "I think it's best for him to just sleep through the night."
She nodded in agreement, kissing my cheek.
"The babies are all fed?" She asked.
"Yeah, they're sleeping peacefully," I said.
"Alright then, get some food and then you should get some rest too," she said.
I could hear laughing from the other room and I frowned.
"Those are old friends of his?" I asked.
"Yeah, they used to hang out in high school before he moved," she said.
Linda walked into the other room and I could hear small wolf whistles. I grabbed some food and went upstairs. I ate quickly before curling up with Frank in the bed, falling asleep in his arms.
