A/N I kinda wanna give up on this but I also want to write a sequel sooo

Laf POV

I didn't play much of these 'video games', so while they were being played, I sat on my phone, just scrolling through Instagram. That was until Peggy paused the game to make what she would call 'an important announcement'.

"Ok, so these people have been playing for ages, so I have decided to partner up people on the controllers so they have to share." she said. "And before you protest and say 'but Peggy, I don't want to play,' too bad. I have decided that everyone gets a turn."

I sighed. You couldn't argue with Peggy.

Peggy gestured for Maria to come up to where she was standing on the coffee table, and Maira got out a red notebook and opened it to a page she had bookmarked. She looked up at Peggy, as if to ask for permission to speak, and Peggy nodded at her.

"Ok, so the pairs are: Alex and John,"

I could see the pair blushing, John just looked away and Alex had a panicked look on his face. Maybe my little brother had a crush. I wiggled my eyebrows at him, and he just subtly flipped me off.

"Laf and Herc," Maria continued.

"Awesome!" Herc hi-fived me. Alex and John turned to me and both smirked. I rolled my eyes. Maybe I did have the tiniest crush on Herc, but I couldn't let them know that or I would never hear the end of it.

"Thomas and James,"

"LET'S BEAT HAMILTON'S ASS, JEMMY!" Thomas shouted, grabbing James' arm and pulling him towards the beanbag he was sitting on. James half sat down half fell right next to Thomas, and I could see James' face turn multiple shades of red before he pulled his hoodie over it.

"YOU WISH JEFFERSON!" Alex shouted back.

"OOO, THE GREMLIN IS GETTING ANGRY, I'M SOOO SCARED," Thomas said sarcastically. Alex tried to get up off the beanbag (probably to go and punch Thomas), but John pulled him back down.

"Save that energy for the game," John said. Alex muttered multiple curse words under his breath, but did as John said. Maria read off the rest of the names, and everyone took their seats next to their partners.

"Remind me again why I have been paired up? I literally can't see or play the game," Toph asked. I saw a panicked look cross Peggy's face for a second, before she composed herself.

"I didn't want to leave you out, and if you are partnered up you can encourage your partner to play better," Peggy explained.

"Ok," Toph shrugged. Everyone selected their characters, Peggy still raging at John for taking the rainbow character, and then we started the game. This was going to be a great night.

The time was currently 10:30pm, and let's just say the night isn't as great as I thought it would be. Theo, Burr, Aang and Katara had left, and the only people left playing the Xbox were Peggy, Sokka, Alex and Thomas.

"I KNOW I CAN'T SEE BUT I CAN TELL YOU ARE LOSING!" Toph shouted at Sokka.

"WELL WHY DON'T YOU GIVE IT A TRY?" Sokka shot back.

"I'D PROBABLY STILL BE BETTER THAN YOU!"

Sokka said something back, but I couldn't hear him over the sound of my brother and Thomas screaming at each other.

"THAT'S CHEATING," Alex shrieked.

"NO IT'S NOT, YOU JUST SUCK," Thomas shouted at him.

I heard a thump, and James clutched the side of his head in pain. Alex's controller had been thrown, probably aiming for Thomas, but it had missed and hit James instead. Eliza ran to the kitchen for an ice pack while Thomas launched himself at Alex.

"YOU. HIT. JEMMY. YOU. BITCH!!!" Thomas screamed, punching Alex after every word. Alex threw punches back.

"Fight, fight, fight," Toph chanted. Once she realized that no one was joining her and it was making the situation worse, she stopped. Herc, John and I ran up to them, pulling them away from each other.

"Let me go!" Alex shouted as he struggled to get away from John. John ignored him, and dragged him out of the room. Thomas tried to launch himself after Alex, but Herc and I grabbed both of his arms. Thomas tried to fight Herc and I, but stopped struggling when he saw that James was crying.

Once Alex was gone, we released Thomas and he ran to James and started comforting him.

"Alright, that's the end. Everyone can leave now," Peggy said, disappointment evident in her tone. "CRAP! I FORGOT TO GIVE ALEX THE SHREK MOVIES!" she shouted.

"Mon Amie, you know he would probably never watch them," I reminded her. Peggy grumbled something about 'a disappointment to everyone' under her breath, before retreating to her room. I noticed everyone else had already left apart from Herc and I, and the other Schuylers were nowhere in sight.

"Let's go," Herc said. I nodded, and we both left the Schuyler's dorm. When we got to the dorms, we said our goodbyes and entered our separate dorms.

I went to check on Alex, but there was no one on his bed. Where had he gone? I was just starting to freak out when Herc quietly opened the door.

"Alex and John are passed out on the beds in my dorm, can I stay here for the night?" he asked.

"Only if you got a picture of them," I said, smirking.

"Who do you think I am? Of course I got pictures," Herc laughed. He sat down on Alex's bed, and we stayed up a bit longer talking. Soon enough, we decided to sleep, and when I saw that he was asleep, I went over to him and kissed his forehead.

"Bonne nuit, mon Hercules," I whispered, before going over to my bed and falling asleep.

Herc POV

I was almost asleep when I heard Laf shuffle around the room, and then felt his lips gently brush my forehead.

"Bonne nuit, mon Hercules," he whispered. My Hercules. I prayed that it was dark enough that he didn't see me blushing like a madman.

Ok, maybe I wasn't as straight as I thought I was.
