When darkness surrounds you even your shadow leaves you alone. You have to learn how to be dependent on yourself. Trusting or waiting for others would put you in unwanted dangers.

Astral kingdom

People in Astral kingdom have their own believes which might be different from the world. They always believed that women are the rulers of the world. Men are given the strength and man power to protect women while women are powerful creatures of the god. They are capable of creating lives, nurture them and make them successful independents.

When they are capable of creating a life and bear the pain why can't they handle the ruling of the kingdom? This thought process has started by a king from royal family generations back. He was blessed with a daughter only and entire kingdom was worried about their lineage. He decided to crown his daughter and convinced everyone that women are equally capable of ruling the empire.

His daughter developed the kingdom a lot which astonished all the citizens. They were euphoric with the development and blessed her. Since then despite the gender the first born of the royal king will be crowned to rule the kingdom. Surprisingly all of the elder offspring's were women. They never lacked in wealth, health and happiness. They were the richest kingdom in the entire world.

"Princess Y/n, your majesty is looking for you" an attendee informed princess who was sitting in the garden enjoying the flower blossoms. "Lead the way" she got up to follow the attendee. Everyone on their way smiled and bowed to show their respect to princess. It is not because she is a princess but she earned their respect.

"Father you summoned me" she bowed to show her respect to her father who is also the king of the kingdom. "My dear, come here" she walked and stood beside the king. "I still can't believe you are growing up pretty fast. You are already eighteen" she knows where this conversation will lead to. As per their rules she has to marry a royal member and take the crown. She still has two weeks times to decide on her husband who will become the royal prince.

"Princess, we discussed together for a while and came up with few suitors" one of the ministers informed her. "Though no one can match our princess status we think these people are good match for you" they weren't bluffing to her. She is indeed extremely capable. Thought she is just eighteen she accomplished lot of things.

At the age of thirteen she mastered the martial arts. At the age of fifteen she gave a solution to drought which almost ruined their entire kingdom. At the age of seventeen she saved her kingdom from the war with her quick thought process. She fought with her father and drove the army to their victory. All the royal families want to get married to her and form an alliance with them. But she is not interested in any of those people.

She knows that none of those people are care about her or what she wants. For them she is an option which could provide the wealth they need. For her people she is a hope who can sort out all the mishaps that has been happening for generations but she couldn't tell them that. "I appreciate minister for their concern. I am sure they must be outstanding as they are selected by all of you" she smiled ignoring her internal turmoil.

"I wish to give you my answer very soon" the king signaled all the court people to leave. "Do we really have to do this father?" she asked desperately once everyone left. "I wish I could help you princess" the king was in dilemma. He doesn't want to marry his daughter to any of those greedy scum bags but he can't ignore his responsibilities too. Being the king is not an easy task.

He has to think of his empire and people before thinking about himself. But when it comes to his daughter he couldn't do that. He wanted to do what she really likes but his hands are tied too. "I understand father but it is unfair to me" the king felt a pang in his chest when he heard his daughter soft voice.

"I wish I could support you on this but you know I can't. I am really sorry about it" she knows it. She has known it all her life. Even since the queen Y/n died few hundred years back their kingdom has been cursed. They say she was killed by her step mother who wanted her son to become the king. The queen was married and pregnant when she was killed. After that her brother ascended the throne and ruled the empire.

Her step mother succeeded in her plan but it didn't go well. It was like their kingdom got cursed. Their offspring's weren't capable like before. They lost many wars and lands. Their people suffered with diseases that can't be cured and droughts ruined their crops. After three generations their kingdom finally had a female crown princess.

It is rumored that she looks exactly like the queen Y/n so they named her after her. Current princess Y/n not only shares her name but her knowledge and strength too. As she grown up she showed extreme knowledge which raised her people hope. They want her to marry someone from royal family and strengthen their lineage but she knows all the people only want her power.

"I wanted to give you something" she snapped out of her thoughts and waited for her father to talk. "I have been given this by my grandfather" he passed her a small golden pendant. "He told me that I have to pass this down to first female ruler after him. I don't know how he know you will be born but he was sure about it and asked me to name you same as his sister" he placed it in her hand. "Perhaps he knows that you are going to solve the mistakes he made"

"I know how you are feeling about marriage. You don't have to marry those people if you don't like them. I will search entire world and find better person for you" she smiled understanding his words. Their court has been pushing her to marry any prince from neighboring country. But they already know if she agrees to it then it might be the end of their lineage.

However they are ready to take the risk. They have been suffering too much for past few centuries that they complete forgot their own accomplishments. They want to alliance with as many as kingdoms and secure their people. She can't blame them for thinking that way but she doesn't want to give up her life for it either. She also knows that she can't reject all of them and put her father in hot water.

"Your majesty" they were interrupted by an attendee who came in hurriedly. "Her highness has fainted" they both got up in concern hearing attendee. "What happened?" they were filled in details while walking towards Y/n mother chamber. "How is she?" The king asked as soon as he got in. "She will be fine after she rests your majesty" he bowed and left after informing them to let her rest. "You should return and rest too. I will ask them to inform if your mother wakes up"

Princess Y/n agreed and left to her chambers. She laid on the bed thinking about today events playing with her new pendant and soon drifted in to sleep. Huge light appeared from the pendant and covered princess entire body in it. Her body floated in the air as multiple butterflies appeared around like a secure border. Suddenly she disappeared with bright light without a trace.

She felt something ticking her nose she swatted her hand to move it. But it kept tickling her. She opened her eyes annoyed only to find herself wrapped in a man arms. She jerked away making the man wake up. Before he can say something she swung her hand and punched the man right on face. "My beautiful face" man cried out in agony holding his nose. "Who are you? What are you doing in my chamber?"

"What?" he scoffed at her words. "You are in my chamber princess" she looked around warily at his words. She remembers sleeping in her chamber so how did she end up here? Her mind was mess with lot of thoughts and suddenly she felt tired and fell back in his arms.

Hello readers... There are few things in this story that may be confusing initially.

Princess Y/n is from future who was mentioned in this chapter and she is reincarnated in to the queen Y/n from past. They both share same name.
