If anyone can have it then I don't want it

I sighed and adjusted my dress before sitting on the bed. I am too tired from all the rituals I has to perform after marriage ceremony. Currently I am done with all the rituals and waiting for Prince Jin to return to our chambers. He is with all the other officials who are offering him drinks. It is not like I want to wait for him but I know his servants will be there when he enter the room. Some of them could be spies of Prince Marcel so I have to pretend to be happy with him.

I leaned against the head board of the bed and closed my eyes due to tiredness. I didn't know when I fell asleep.

"Princess" I woke up when someone caressed my cheek. "I can't believe I am seeing you this closely" I can hear the person voice but my mind was too numb to wake up from slumber. "After all those secret glances and waiting I have done, god blessed me with you" I felt gentle kiss on my forehead which tickled me. I opened my eyes and met with Prince Jin face. "You came" I told him half sleep. He moved away like he got burned and sat straight on the bed.

I was too tired and my mind wasn't working so I didn't comprehend the words he said to me earlier. "Can you call Amera?" I tried to get up but fell on other side when I realized my hair got stuck in the head board. "Ahh" I screamed when I felt pain in my head. "Are you ok?" Prince Jin panicked hearing my scream. "I think my hair got stuck" he hovered over me and checked what happened. He untied my hair and slowly removed it from the head board before moving it to front. "Do you need help in removing it?"

"I think you are supposed to remove it" Amera told me I can't remove my headwear until Prince Jin comes. He is supposed to remove it then we are supposed to drink wine to celebrate our new bond. I thought Amera would stay till then to help me change but she is nowhere to be seen. "Ok" Prince Jin slowly removed the head wear. "Be gentle" I hissed when he messed my hair. "I am trying. It is not like I have done it before. I am doing it for the first time" I rolled my eyes at his words. "That doesn't mean I will tolerate it"

"Fine, I will try to be gentle" he slowed down and tried to remove the chains that have been braided with my hair. I am getting headache from all the weight on my head. I am sure this headwear and dress would be half of my body weight. I got irritated with the pace Jin is going. "Can you like move a little faste?" I don't think he would be able to remove it by the sunrise at this pace. "Can't you be little patient? All you are doing is complaining"

"Huh" I scoffed at him. "Then try it and you will know the meaning of patience" he glared at me and I glared back. We have our glaring match until my head started hurting. "Fine" I huffed in defeat. "Can you just help me?" I am too tired and just wanted to sleep now. After torturous fifteen minutes finally I was free from the heavy weight. I sighed in relief when he placed the jewels on the side table. "Amera told me we have to drink the wine to celebrate our marriage"

I am sure he already knows about it as his people might have told him about the rituals before marriage. He poured the wine in two cups and took a sniff. He frowned and placed it back on the table again. "What happened?" I asked him confused as why he kept it back. "This wine is made with azalea petals" so it is a flower wine. I am allergic to azalea flowers and got seriously ill once. I wasn't aware of my allergy and drank flower wine then I had very bad stomachache and have been bed ridden for two weeks.

But I don't know if this body can tolerate the allergy. I mean I am just a soul in other body so it shouldn't affect me right? "So what?" I am sure Prince Jin doesn't know about it so why is he rejecting the wine. "Don't you hate flower wines? Last time your brother told me that you never drink these" so that is why he kept it back. Good thing I don't have to worry about the allergy possibilities.

"Fine, I will change first" I changed the topic and went to change my clothes. Amera already kept night clothes in closet. "Did your parents leave?" Prince Jin parents and few important people came to attend the wedding yesterday. Though the king asked them to stay for a while they rejected saying they has matters to attend. Prince Jin and I have to visit their kingdom tomorrow. I will come back in three days again. "Yeah, even Marcel went with them. Taehyung and few guards will be escorting us tomorrow"

"What do I expect from tomorrow visit?" I need to have all the information I can before visiting his place. I am sure there are lots of people who just want me to embarrass myself. "You have to be wary of the king and the queen. My father isn't a great guy in general. He is self centered person who doesn't think anyone has the talent to ascend the throne" I sat on the bed facing Jin. "Even his sons?" he shook his head smiling. "Especially his sons"

"He didn't like my older brother when he became crown prince. When he died he ignored the matter of appointing crown prince for long time. When court started pressuring him he crowned my second brother and sent him to lead troops in war. He didn't want him to involve in court matters" that is like sending him to his doom. Normally crown prince wouldn't involve directly in the wars which has potential threat. "He didn't have chance in Marcel matter as the Queen has huge support in the court"

"Who exactly is backing her?" he looked at the carpet as he is thinking about something. "Are you aware of our court and ministers?" I nodded my head. "There are four main noble families in your kingdom just like here. Park family who is the minister of Personnel, Minister of Justice Ahn family, Minister of Rites Huang family and Minister of Revenue Ryu family"

Every kingdom has three departments which are chancellery, state affairs and secretariat. These are handled by six ministries as personnel, revenue, rites, war, justice and works. Revenue and works are handled by single ministry while war is handled by army commander family. In Luminar empire War and Army are led by Kim Taehyung so the king family has power over it. Usually Army power is not given to single family as it could lead to rebellion.

"Park family is loyal to the throne but they believe Marcel isn't the right person for throne" I already know this. Prince Jin is good friend of Park Jimin who is the eldest son of the park family. He will be the next minister of personnel and will become advisor to Prince Jin in future. "Ahn family second daughter was engaged to my elder brother and after his death they were demoted to fourth rank ministry in court. The queen placed her cousin in that position now"

"Huang family third daughter is married to Marcel so they support them. Ryu family has always stayed neutral" so that mean Prince Jin support isn't effective. Even though he has fifty percent of court on his side, without noble families support he can't ascend the throne. Here I thought it would be easy as cake walk. "Doesn't your brother hold control on army?"

"I can't do anything unless father approves it. You know he will not hesitate to kill me and Taehyung if he gets a whiff of it" four noble families' support is must for him to ascend the throne. Park family is already on his side and Ryu family can lean this side if we have other families support. That means I need to focus on Huang and Ahn family. "We should start with Ahn family. You said the queen has placed her cousin in that place" he hummed listening to me intently. "Give me all the details you know about him" I am sure I can find something to eliminate him from that position. If we return the ministry to Ahn family we will have their support.

"I will get the details for you" I yawned while he was speaking. "You should get some sleep" I hummed agreeing with him and lay on the bed. "Where are you going?" Prince Jin got up and took the pillow. "I will sleep in the other room" I scooted over and patted on the space beside me. "You can sleep here. I won't take advantage of you" I winked making his ears turn red. "Good night" I turned around and closed my eyes giving him space to settle.

"Princess Y/n, road is blocked in the front so we have to use the forest route to get to next village" Prince Jin and I looked at each other. "Let's take a detour then" he nodded before closing the carriage door. "I didn't expect a huge welcome this early" Jin sighed at my words. "I should ride on my horse and monitor the situation" I stopped him when he was about to leave. "Taehyung and Jungkook will handle it. Take some rest" I poured some tea in cup and gave it to him.

Initially I wasn't planning on taking Jungkook with me but I had different plan and asked him to join me. He won't be visiting the Luminar kingdom with me. He will stop in the middle and has to finish the task I gave him. "You planned something" it wasn't a question. He knows that I am up to something. I smiled and sipped on the tea ignoring his stare. He will know soon what I planned. Just I was about to take another sip an arrow flew towards me and cup fell down from my hand.

"Y/n" Jin shouted looking around frantically. "I am fine" I wiped my hand before opening the window of the carriage. "Jin, I think now is the right time to get out" he took his sword and jumped down the carriage. Everyone started fighting by the time I got down. I smirked to myself knowing I will enjoy killing these people.
