I stood frozen for a minute before I came back to my sense. I kicked her shin and twisted her arm before turning around to take a look at her. "Stop, you are hurting me" she yelled at me in pain and I loosened my grip on her. "Evelyn, what are you doing here?" she grinned at me. "I missed you" she kept her arm in her hand which made me little guilty.

I crossed my arms. "Really?" I was not amused. "Did you tell uncle where you are going?" Evelyn is Queen Y/n cousin and she seems to be nice girl. When I met her parents in marriage I realized they are trusted people who were the family of the queen Y/n birth mother. Since they are part of another kingdom they couldn't visit a lot. Evelyn is their only daughter who is kind and sweet person. She is like warm sunshine in the spring. "He doesn't need to know"

"They will freak out if they know you are missing" uncle and his people left for their kingdom yesterday night. She must have sneaked out while they are getting in carriages. "Don't worry. I informed mom and she will take care of it" she locked her arm in mine and grinned at me. "What are you planning to do here?" I raised my eyebrows in question. "I will explore this place" I rolled my eyes, "If anyone finds out about your identity you could be in trouble"

"I will call the guards. You should go back" she shook her head and clings to my side. "Let me stay with you. I can stay with you and Amera" I glared at her. "I am married and you can't stay with a maid" no matter how close I am to Amera she is still a maid. Her living conditions won't be suitable for crown princess. "I can mange" I sighed in defeat as she kept arguing with me. "Fine but only for this once" she balled her fist and jumped. "Yes" she was so excited, she couldn't contain herself but her reaction made me chuckle.

"But you have to leave tomorrow when the banquet is done" she showed me a thumb as in agreeing with me. "Where are you going anyway?" Evelyn asked me, as she walked beside me as we made our way in to the market. "To meet Jungkook friend" Jungkook told me he has few spies who can help me with anything. Though I trust Prince Jin, I can't rely on him completely. I have to make my own plans too. "What is his name?"

"Felix" I answered before stopping at a dry herbs shop. "Can you pack me three halves of Sage and one pack Thyme" owner of the shop glanced at me. "Give me a minute" he nodded at an attendee and went inside the shop. "What kind of order is that?" I glared at her which made her shut her mouth. "This way please" owner came outside and guided us to an alleyway behind the shop. Evelyn gave me confused look but I grabbed her hand and dragged her to follow him. "You can go inside" he gestured us to get inside the room.

I thanked him and went inside. It was plain old room which seemed to be abandoned from outside. But inside it is pretty clean and neat. Smell of incense is lingered in the air lightly which made the room warmer. "Greetings your highness" I heard a manly voice on my right. "My name is Felix" he seemed younger than me and Jungkook and has pretty blonde hair with sharp eyes. He seemed to be on thin side with lean body and pale face. "Hello my lady"

"I am sure Jungkook already informed you about the task" he nodded his head and glanced around. "I gathered some information about them" he placed few books on the table where we sat near. "Second Prince Arsen was engaged to Lady Ina. The queen accused them of treachery after second Prince died" I looked at the books he placed. "What is the accusation?"

"They have been accused of illegal business. They said he was using his power to export the goods from towns and sell it for higher price without taxes. The merchant also gave his testimony saying he approved of it. They created a fake sealed letter and presented it to the court" I turned my face to Felix. "What about current minister?" he opened a page in book and showed it to me. "They are in contact with the merchant who gave his testimony. I think they are helping him in export goods"

This won't be enough. We need exact proof to show Ahn family is innocent. Besides they wouldn't simply give them their position back if they are innocent. For that to happen we have to prove them innocent and expose the crimes the merchant and the queen cousin has committed. "Felix, I want you to get me all the dirt you can dig on the current Minister of Justice. Also, find if there is any way to get inside merchant house. We need to check if he has any copy of accounts for minister"

I went back to palace without any hindrance. "Amera, dress Evelyn in one of your dresses. Make sure you both stay together for today" they will be covering their faces so it would be safe for them. Besides I don't think anyone has seen Evelyn in person too. "Wha" Amera was confused but when she saw my face she nodded her head. "Hi Amera" Evelyn grinned at her which made me roll my eyes. "Princess, Queen sent a dress for you for the ceremony" she showed me the dress that was laid on the bed. "How dare is she to send something like this" Evelyn mood changed immediately after seeing the dress.

The dress is a sparkly full length gown, backless with thin shoulder straps to hold the dress, very fitting which can reveal my body shape perfectly and it is quite revealing. It has deep cut on thigh with deep neck. It is pretty good dress in normal scenario but I am attending a welcome party where I am married in to the royal family. Initially black is not the color for bride and besides wearing a revealing dress could be scandalous and give me a haughty image. "She purposely brought it. If you say no that means you disobeyed her and if you wear it then you will be ridiculed" Amera cried out in irritation. "There is no way she will wear that"

"Let's check for other dresses" Evelyn dragged Amera to the closet where my dresses were kept. I haven't bought much since I won't be staying for long. But I do have few dresses which I can wear for the banquet in the evening. "Don't worry I will wear it" Evelyn froze hearing my words. "Have you gone mad?" her eyes widened in daze. She opened and closed her mouth at loss. I chuckled at her face. "You will be ridiculed"

"Do you think anyone can dare to do that?" she pointed to the pile of dresses in the closet. "You can wear anything else" I ignored her and took a look at the dress. "She can never win against me"

I walked in to the palace banquet hall where the party was already in full swing. I was wearing a coat as it was freezing outside. Prince Jin didn't come back till it was the time to leave. He was already dressed when he came back to the room. He simply asked me if I am ready and we both came to the party together. "You will be meeting all noble families including royal family members" he told me before walking towards the entrance. "Ina?"

"Sadly I couldn't get her to attend tonight. But she will meet you in the tea place tomorrow evening" that could work. I have to make sure to avoid rising suspicion of the queen and Marcel. "Why are you covering your dress?" he glanced down at me confused "You will see later" I grinned to myself. "What do you mean?"

"Why? Are you eager to see me?" I teased him.

He looked away as his ears turned red. "Not like that" I laughed at his red face. "But I don't mind seeing you all dressed up" he whispered in my ear catching me off guard. "Let's get inside" I walked in holding his arm in mine. I turned to Jin when I felt him stare at me. "No matter what you are wearing you always looks beautiful" his compliment made my heart skip a beat. He is pretty shy all the time but he manages to say words that make my heart bear fast.

"Presenting Fourth Prince Jin and Princess Y/n" our names were announced as we entered the room. The room was decorated with glowing chandeliers, their light reflecting on the entire wall and vast area of the marbles on the ground. Soft humming of the music played in the back ground as the guests mingled with each other. Both side of the hall were decorated with fresh flowers which filled the entire room with sweet smell. Roses, Lilies and different flowers were arranged in the every corner in patterns.

The king and the queen stood at the center of the hall mingling with the guests. The queen is dressed in dark green velvet gown which highlighted her curves and pale skin. Her gold jewelry adding the light to her dress while her auburn hair cascade in waves to her waist in elegant way. She looked like the main attraction of the party. I can see jealous and envy looks of the women in the party on the queen.

I put on friendly smile when her eyes met mine. She took a step towards me to greet us. We walked towards them and greeted the king first. "Greetings"

"Greetings Princess"

"Princess, why are you hiding your dress?" she questioned immediately without asking me about anything else. I saw people around me were looking at me in curiosity. "I am not used to weather here" I made an excuse but it was partly true. In Astral kingdom weather is mostly sunny but Luminar kingdom is covered in snow for nearly half a year. Remaining time it is cooler than our kingdom. "I can understand. It gets pretty chilly at night" the king commented making me smile.

"We placed lot of precautions to keep the room warm Princess. It would look rude if you wear coat when we are all wearing pretty dresses" I looked down to hide my smile "I hope you appreciate our efforts" her tone is light, I can see underlying of her words. "Can you help me?" I asked Amera who came to my side in an instant to help me remove my dress. I know the queen might be waiting for me to reveal my dress and get humiliated.

I heard gasps around me when I removed the coat. I couldn't help but smirk at the queen ugly expression.

Like I said I will never let her win.

Hello readers... I have been feeling so confused lately. Being an adult seems pretty hard. Whatever I do it ends up being a mess. I don't know where I am going with life or if the decisions I am taking are right. I just want to quit everything at this point. Have you ever felt this way?
