Two days have passed now and Y/N was on the road with Maryse since they were on a bit of a shopping trip. They had a good time together, doing their best to forget everything that transpired so far, and they got a lot of good stuff for themselves.

Maryse' smile always lightened the mood a lot, bringing Y/N back out from his shell. Fortunately the black eye was healing well, so he should be back to 100% very soon. And Smackdown was next too, so he had a lot of talking to do that night because of Baron Corbin. For now though, the duo made the trip back to the hotel to unload those heavy shopping bags.

Maryse:" I'm glad we had a day to ourselves. I feel a lot better than before."

Y/N:" That's great to hear. It was a lot of fun to go shopping with you. Usually I hate that."

Maryse:" Most guys hate shopping. I just know how to tie you in on that hehe."

Y/N:" Tge tricks you played worked well. I almost had a heart attack when you held the curtain so close to your body."

Maryse:" Well, I know my tricks better than anyone, Y/N. And you deserved a little show."

Y/N:" It's always a show, no matter what you wear, Maryse."

This made her giggle as she got comfortable in her seat again. Maryse loved toying with Y/N because she knew how to keep his attention. Of course this didn't go without any payback as Y/N returned the favor a few times, but they got through it without any trouble.

Maryse:" Hey, what about watching a movie when we put all our stuff away?"

Y/N:" In for a lazy day today?"

Maryse:" A little. Surprisingly enough, I just wanna see what's new and I wanna spend some time cuddling up with you."

Y/N:" Awww, you really are a sweetheart. Sure we can watch something."

Maryse:" Wonderful. I'm sure we'll find something we both can enjoy."

Y/N:" Definitly. By the way, did you consider stepping back in the ring?"

Maryse was surprised by that question as she looked at Y/N. She was in great shape, yes, but was she resdy for an actual run in the current Womens Division?

Maryse:" Honestly, I haven't spent much time thinking about that. I know it's become a rarity to see me on TV for longer. But could I step up to everyone who's currently there? I don't know."

Y/N:" I understand the concern, but I'm sure you could. Trish and Lita returned and had good runs with this generation, so I think you could do it."

Maryse:" Would you be willing to help me spar?"

Y/N:" Of course! I would help you any time, Maryse. You got a good moveset, but it also needs some polishing to measure up to the talent of today. So mayve you can also train with some of the new girls."

Maryse:" You're smart, but I never took you for the wise type."

Y/N:" I have my moments."

Keeping the chat going for a little longer, the two enjoyed the rest of the ride as much as they could. They did impersonations, cracked jokes and told stories of when they weren't travelling together.

Back in the hotel, Y/N carried the majority of the shopping bags to the room while Maryse walked ahead and unlocked the door. She could trust Y/N with just about everything, even the deeper or more embarrassing stuff, and she knew him too well to judge him. She smiled, taking a few bags off of him and out them aside while he unloaded the rest, careful not to drop anything since much of the things they bought were really expensive. With that taken care of, Y/N took off his jacket and shoes and plopped down on the couch.

Y/N:" Okay, that...is the part I hate about shopping. So many bags really kill my back."

Maryse:" It's fine now. We got everything we wanted and now it's time to relax."

Y/N:" Then come join my side, my beloved."

Eventhough Maryse was used to this behavior, it still caused her to blush as she sat down next to Y/N. She pushed aside any thoughts about Mike and just lived her life freely, enjoying every day to the fullest.

Maryse:" I'm glad I have you to myself now, Y/N. I don't need to worry about anyone getting jealous or wanting to beat you up."

Y/N:" That's because most people don't mess with me. I have the brains and the power."

Maryse:" And I'm glad you're just your normal self. You don't hide, you don't fake anything. And you have no second career getting in the way."

Y/N:" I wouldn't have time for one either. We travel the world enough and I also wanna be around you."

Maryse smiled brightly at that and within a few seconds, she and Y/N were cuddled up comfortably on the couch, enjoying the embrace. Y/N was a man of his word, wanting the best for his loved ones and Maryse was his top priority in that case. Her happiness was a top goal day by day. Looking each other in the eye, it wasn't long until they united in their first official kiss without alcohol or sex.

It has been a long time coming, but now they sealed the deal. They knew about their feelings for each other before the chaos, but now they could live like they wanted to.
