"First things first we start the scene in reverse"

Olivia was stood with Flynn at school they were waiting for Julie. Olivia was also having a little crisis after the moment her and Luke shared in 'Edge of Great', and after performing 'So American' in font of Julie and Flynn all she can think of is Luke.

Flynn pulls Olivia out of her thoughts by slapping her multiple times on the arm and nodding her head to Julie's direction, when Olivia looks over she sees Julie and Nick talking.

The second Nick walks away Flynn and Olivia rush over to Julie. "Well that wasn't just a 'what's up'"

"Nick wanted to go on a date" Julie informs them, Flynn and Olivia gasp at this "I said yes" Olivia and Flynn squeal.

Julie looks to Olivia "Any boys asked you out on a date"

"Yeah, um Jack asked me on Instagram messages which instantly put me off I said no very bluntly" Olivia winces

"What" Flynn deflates

"Well it's like both of you said. This Luke thing is not going away anytime soon, so I figured why waste Jack's time, and also the fact that he creeps me out."

"Aw! Our baby's all grown up" Flynn smiles "She's choosing to like someone that doesn't really exist, but she's all grown up"

"I mean he does exist. To me" Olivia defends "And I just feel really connected to him, you know?"

"You are the most watchable duet-ers I've ever seen" Julie nods her head.

"But it's not just singing, when we write, everything just makes sense with him, we're both hurt and it feels like we just get each other" Olivia explains.

"Do not make me cry. I'm having a really good eyeliner day" Flynn dabs the under of her eye a little.

"It's just, Luke's hurting so much. I wish I could help him" Olivia frowns

"Wait. Remember that song he had about Emily" Julie starts Olivia looks at her shocked "Give it to his parents, they can finally know how he really feels"

Olivia opens and closes her mouth a little "I don't know Jules, I mean we always talk about boundaries and this is overstepping his, I don't want him to hate me"

Julie gives her a look. "Ok, Luke could never hate you, I'll come with you, and if he does get upset or anything like that I'll take the fall, it was my idea anyways"

Olivia hesitates for a few moments, Julie and Flynn both stare at her waiting. "I really don't know"

"It's for a good reason Liv" Flynn adds on

Olivia looks between both girls "Fine, but you're coming with me Jules and taking the fall if he hates me"

Julie smiles "Ok. Done"

"We'll go after school" Olivia tells her, Julie nod's her head in response as they all go their separate ways to their classes.

Olivia and Julie made it to Luke's parents house. They both start walking up the door, Olivia picking at her skin from nerves, Julie holding the song fidgeting a little.

"Ok, Julie I'm having second thoughts about this now" Olivia nervously sighs, she's about to turn around but is stopped by Julie grabbing her.

"It's ok, if it all goes wrong I'm taking the fall remember" Julie comforts rubbing her thumb on Olivia's arm.

They walk up to the door, Olivia sighs again, Julie goes to press the doorbell but is stopped when they turn and see Luke poof next to them.

Olivia looks at him wide eyed "Luke!"

"What are you both doing here?" Luke questions looking at the girls

Julie like promised instantly took the blame, she turns fully to face him, Olivia copying "Ok, look. we both wanted to know more about you, Olivia mostly, but you know, just curious. Um.. So, we came here last week on your birthday."

Luke looks at Olivia, then to Julie then back to Olivia. "You were spying on me?" Olivia looks down "Even after all your speeches about boundaries?" Luke walks a little closer to the Richards girl "You were spying on me?"

"We know." Olivia mutters "I'm sorry. It was wrong of us." Olivia looks back up to him "But I'm worried about you."

"Yeah, you don't have to be" Luke mutters and turns his head a little away.

"I get it" Julie starts "I know how hard it is when you want to speak to someone you love and can't. I feel that way every day."

Luke looks between both girls his eyes landing back on Olivia "I don't even know what I'd say to her, even if she could hear me"

"Yes you do" Olivia nods her head a little "You've already said it"

Luke looks into Olivia's eyes with hesitation, Olivia looks back "Can you trust me, please?"

Luke still stares into Olivia's eyes as he leans over to press the doorbell, he looks away and walks back and stands behind the girls, Olivia and Julie join their pinkies together while they wait.

The door is opened by Luke's dad "Hello. Can I help you?"

"Hi I'm Olivia and this is Julie. Um.. I believe you had a son named Luke?" Olivia asks

"Well yes, that's right." He nods his head. "And you are again?"

"Julie Molina and Olivia Richards" Julie answers "Um.. you son's band used to play in my family's garage?" Luke is stood behind both girls looking between his dad and them. Julie pulls out the song "I.. I came across this song that he wrote, and figured you might be interested?"

Luke stares at the song in shock while Julie holds it out a little, hi dad starts talking again "Um.. yes. Uh, please... please come in. I'm.. I'm Mitch." He holds his hand out the girls shaking it as they step into the house one after another.

Julie follows after Mitch, Olivia turns around to close the door, she sees Luke's hesitance and nods her head to follow them. "It's ok" she mutters to him. Luke quickly rushes into the house and Olivia closes the door.

"Can I, um, get you something?" Mitch asks the girls as they follow him to the sitting area.

"Oh, no. We're good. Thank you" Julie answers. Julie sees a framed photo on a table "Is this your son?"

"Yeah, that's Luke." Mitch tells the girls "When he was two" Luke slowly makes his way to everyone watching both girls.

"Do you have any other children?" Olivia questions

Mitch shakes his head slowly "No"

A women walks in and goes up to Mitch and wraps his arm around him "Did I hear the doorbell?"

"Hi, hon." Mitch greets "This is Julie and Olivia"

"Hello, Julie and Olivia. That's a beautiful sweated" She complements Julie. "And that's a lovely necklace" She then complements Olivia.

"Thanks" Both girls chorus Julie adds on "It's my moms"

"Julie lives in the house where Luke and the band rehearsed." Mitch explains "Olivia sometimes visits. They were just telling me they found a song that Luke wrote" Luke stares at this parents.

"It's a song about a girl named Emily" Olivia says

"Emily" Mitch whispers

"Oh... I'm Emily" Emily tells them both and steps forward a little.

"Then I think your son may have written this song for you" Julie hands the song over and Emily starts unfolding it. Mitch places his hands onto Emily's shoulders, Julie and Olivia lock pinkies.

It's silent until they hear Luke start singing the song "First things first, we start the scene in reverse all of the lines rehearsed disappeared from my mind" Olivia feels something go through her hand she looks down and sees Luke trying to hold her, she wishes nothing more in that moment to grab his hand.

"When things got loud, one of us running out, I should have turned around but I had too much pride" There was no words that could describe how Luke was feeling in this moment, his parent being able to read the song, finally seeing how he felt, him never getting to apologies in person.

"No time for goodbyes, Didn't get to apologize, pieces of a clock that lies broken If I could take us back If I could just do that And write in every empty space the words 'I love you' in replace Than maybe time would not erase me, If you could only know. I never let you go, And the worse I most regret Are the ones I never meant to leave. Unsaid Emily"

Olivia and Julie watched, both seeing the hurt in Emily's eyes reading the song. They could never know the pain of loosing a child, it was something the girls could never imagine. The way Emily hoped one day her son would come back, all the words that could be said in apologies, but all was left were hurtful words.

Julie and Olivia wished Luke could be here in person to give them the song, to apologize, but sadly, no. Time never worked that way, so here the girls are trying their best to make things a little better, a second chance. Everything was on that page, every thought, every word. Luke was getting his chance, Emily was reading it all. Luke deserved this, he deserves to talk to his mom, Olivia and Julie we're going to try their best and provide that.

Luke and Emily both finish the song it was silent, only the sniffling of everyone in the room, after they're all crying. Olivia and Julie grip each other's hand tighter as tears flow down everyone's faces.

"Thank you" Emily manages to get out before crying again, Julie and Olivia both smile at the girl nodding.

"You... you have no idea..." Mitch struggles to finish his sentence

"We write music in the same room that he did, and I can tell you it is a magical, happy place" Olivia tells them.

Both parents smile "That is so nice to know"

"I know he was only 17, when he... But he lived doing the one thing he was born to do. Not many people find that, but Luke did. He was lucky" Olivia continues, she feels Luke's hand fully go through hers then hears him poof out.

"It was so nice to meet you." Emily yells the girls.

"It was nice to meet you too" Julie replies for both girls.

They quickly say goodbye before walking out of the door and closing it behind them, Julie and Olivia grab hands, wiping away their tears with the other hand. Olivia expects Luke to be outside waiting for them, However, no sign of him at all. This breaks the girls heart more, worried the girls went too far.
