"I got a spark in me"

It was the day after the school incident. Only Olivia and Flynn are in dance right now. Flynn kept telling Olivia how Julie didn't want to show up to school so let her sleep but Olivia kept saying how Julie didn't actually mean it.

They ended up leaving her in bed.

"Right, left, right, left" The teacher tells them, the kids all copying her actions. "Step touch, step touch, step tou-" The teacher is cut off my Julie running into the hall. "Ah Julie how nice of you to join us."

"I'm so sorry. I overslept" Julie explains

"Take your spot"

Julie walks over in between Flynn and Olivia, she smiles. "So, why didn't you both wake me up? I missed my first three classes."

"Good. Reach" The students all copied the teachers movements again.

"You said we were never gonna show your face at school again, And I'm a very literal person." Flynn replies

"Breath out"

"I tried to tell her you didn't mean it literally" Olivia explains

"It's ok" Julie tells her "It's those stupid ghosts that I'm really upset at"

"Don't I almost cried again this morning, I was very emotional" Olivia nods her head

"I'd kill them if they weren't already dead" Julie adds

"Having a band is supposed to help your social life, not ruin it" Flynn explains

"Ex band" Julie corrections. Olivia doesn't want to talk, she's scared that if she does her voice will betray her and expose all her emotions.

"Right sorry" Flynn apologues. She lifts her hands above her head and brings them back down, Olivia and Julie also copying her movements.

"Get down to the leg"

Olivia, Julie and Flynn are now all in lunge positions

"It's all so messed her" Julie looks to both Olivia and Flynn "I though they were in this with me- us. But obviously I was wrong"

"Hey, don't blame yourself" Flynn reassures "You can only be so strong when three cute ghosts ask you to join a band" The girls get further down into a lunge

"And speaking of cute, have you talked to Nick today" Olivia speaks up, yes she changed the topic, can you blame her? "He was pretty chatty at the dance"

"No, and I'm kinda dreading it" Julie explains. "At least I know I won't have to see him in this class" The girls all stretch and look through their legs, Julie seeing the sports team walk through the door, more specifically Nick. "You've got to be kidding me"

"What?" Flynn and Olivia ask at the same time. The girls all look up seeing what Julie is on about.

"What are they doing here" Julie stands up fully, Flynn and Olivia following her in a panic.

"Right on time, Coach Barron." Their teacher says. "So, students Coach Barron and I have decided that his lacrosse team will be part of out class for a few weeks. Many pro athletes have used dance to help them with coordination and mobility"

"This isn't about flirting with girls" Coach Barron explains, this earns a laugh from the team. "It's about making us better so we can actually win a game. We lost against Burbank. Burbank!"

Olivia, Julie and Flynn all share a look trying to hold in their laughs

"Well, let's al remember that composure is a big part of dance" The dance teacher send Coach Barron a look. "Everybody pair up"

Julie sends a wide eyed look to Flynn and Olivia.

"Let's go" Coach Barron claps at the team, this makes them walk off to pair up.

Some boy comes up to Flynn and takes her away.

"No, No, no" Julie mutters

"I'm sorry" Flynn apologies

"Don't leave us" Olivia says to her. Flynn gets dragged away.

Some boy comes up to Olivia, she doesn't know his name.

"Hey, I'm Jack" He introduces. "You wanna be my partner?"

Olivia and Julie share a look, However, Olivia can see Nick walk up to Julie so she smiles at her before turning to the boy infront of her. "Sure". Jack takes Olivia's hand, leading her a little away from Julie, Olivia get's a little awkward and takes her hand out of his slowly.

"Sorry" She apologies and holds up her hands. "A little sweaty" Olivia smiles awkwardly and wipes her hand down her leggings.

"All good" He replies smiling at her, a little too long for Olivia's liking.

"So, Ladies, let's do what we learned last week and we will perform this with the boys this Friday" The teacher tells them all. "Coach Barron and I will demonstrate"

"No. I don't dance so..." He trails off

"You do now" She grabs his arm and drags him behind her. "And jump out, and bounce" The students all start to copy the movements "and snake" they copy again "Reach up and turn around... boys, jump out"

Olivia watches Jack jump a little too far away with wide eyes, she turns to Julie and see Nick jump very high. Julie turns back to Olivia with wide eyes as well. This is gonna be sooo great.

"Let's do it again. Half-time, no music"

"You ready to do this?" Olivia asks Jack

"Yeah, I guess, just know I'm not that good of a dancer" He replies

"Five, six, seven, eight" They all start the dance over again.

"You're not doing so bad" Olivia tells her with a small smile.

"Thanks" He laughs a little

"And torso"

"Also about the dance" Jack starts. This makes Olivia frown, he doesn't notice this and carry's on "I bet you would have done amazing"

"Um yeah, thanks" Olivia mutters and trails off at the end. Olivia grabs Jack's hands, they do the move and when trying to lift their hands above Olivia's head, he "accidently" spins her into him. This makes Olivia widen her eyes and quickly move out of his arms with an awkward cough

"Really good.  Once more. With music" The teacher starts the music

"I'm sorry, that was an accident" Jack apologises

"You're all good don't worry" Olivia tries her best to give a small smile she goes back to the starting positions for the dance.

They don't talk for the rest of the lesson. And the whole lesson Olivia couldn't get the stupid brown haired boy out her head.

It's the next day and Julie invited Olivia round to help with school work. Julie walked off saying she needs to get her something from there not clue what.

Julie comes storming back in and Olivia notices instantly. "What's wrong?"

"I may or may not have just snapped at the boys, mostly Luke because I seen how hurt you were" Julie explains

"Oh gosh" Olivia sighs and instantly sits up "What happened?"

"Ok, so I went down there to get something then completely forgot what I needed, so I was about to turn back when the started singing they were sorry" Julie starts. Olivia smiles a little at that. "Then Luke said how much the band means to him and that they booked us another gig, I snapped and said that he doesn't care about the band, then he said he does care, then I denied that and said he only cares about himself" Julie sighs at the end after not breathing the whole explanation.

Olivia sits there not knowing what to say. "Oh" is all she can muster out "Let's just get back to work" They both do as she says, the peacefulness only last for a few minutes before they here the whoosh of the boys.

Julie just sighs and ignores them, Olivia looks up but looks back down.

"Hey, you, uh... you both got a second?" Alex asks them. Julie places her book on Oliva's lap and lays down a little, Olivia places her hand in Julie hair playing with it a little.

"Oh my gosh. They can't see us anymore!" Reggie panics and looks to Alex, Alex gives Reggie a look and walks closer to the girls sitting on the arm of the chair. "Oh" Reggie realizes.

"Liv, Julie, please" Olivia can hear toe desperation in his voice and looks up at him, Julie copying her actions with a little hesitance.

"We already told you that I'm done with the band" Julie tells him

"Yeah, we know, alright" Alex sighs "But before you decide that forever, we just... We wanted you both to know that Luke isn't as selfish as you think, I know you didn't say anything Liv but trust us"

"Yeah you've got him all wrong" Reggie adds.

Julie just scoffs, shakes her head and goes back to her work, Olivia still stays looking at the boys, she can see they want to say something else so she gives them a nod to carry on.

"You remember that song 'Emily'?" Alex starts this get's Julie's attention again as well as Olivia's "Can we at least show you who that's actually about?"

Olivia sees Julie wanting to say no but before Julie can "Yeah, you can show us". This makes Julie snap her head towards Olivia. The boys smile a little and tell the girls to follow them.

Alex and Reggie lead Julie and Olivia to a house and told them to hide behind one of the bushes outside a massive window, they all peak their heads around and the sight they see instantly makes Olivia frown.

"So, Emily's his mom?" Julie asks, the all see Luke sat on the side curled up with a blotchy face very obviously crying and still crying, they see two older people his parent set up a cake.

"Yeah" Alex replies, Reggie nodding his head. "Yeah. Luke comes here a lot."

"He thinks we don't know, but... we've been following him" Reggie adds, they all watch Luke's parents set up a table. "All he does is just hang out like this and watch them. They never really do anything though." They watch as him mom brings out a cake and place it right in the middle of the table.

"They're having cake. That's something. Right" Olivia points out

"It's a... It's a birthday cake. For Luke" Reggie explains. This sentence alone brings tears to Olivia's eyes.

"We never knew Luke was hurting this much" Julie adds

"Yeah, It's even worse because when he died, he... left on bad terms" Alex informs them "You know, his parents didn't want their 17-year-old in a rack band, so... he just left" They watch a Luke stands up and walks closer to the table. "He never got the chance to make up with them" They see him lean over the table and blow out the candle his dad lit, trying to show them a sign he's here. Luke gives a small smile.

"That's why Luke was so angry" Reggie explains. They watch Luke sit down in a spare chair and look at his mom. "If Trevor had given Luke credit for writing all the songs then..." They see Luke's dad light the candle again Luke still with tears down his face, Julie and Olivia can't stop theirs either. "His parent would've known his dream was worth chasing"

"They would have been so proud" Olivia says through a shaky breath tears still rolling down her face. They watch as Luke's parents hold their hands out grabbing each others and leaving their others for Luke, he watches his parents blow out the candle him joining in as well.

Julie wipes her tears Olivia following shortly after just as Alex starts talking. "We know how bad it hurts whenever someone that should've had your back... completely lets you down, as well as breaking promises Liv. We never met to make you feel that way."

"Julie, Liv, we love our band" Reggie adds "And Luke does too. Please give us another chance"

Olivia and Julie look at both boys before looking at each other, they both turn to face Luke again, Julie noticing a dahlia in the back and Olivia just watching the scene sadly, then look back at each other then to the boys and nod their heads.

They slowly but surely got up and started the journey back to the studio to practice.

Alex, Reggie, Julie and Olivia are all sat in the studio practicing 'Finally Free'. Well the first three are playing the instruments Olivia is sat next to Julie tweaking some lyrics.

"Marching on proud, turn it up loud, cause now we know what we're worth" Julie starts singing but is interrupted by Luke poofing in and lands on a chair. This makes them all stop and look at him.

Luke notices the two girls sitting at the keyboard and stand up instantly. "Woah, Julie, Livvie."

"Grab your guitar. We got a lot of work to do" Olivia tells him.

Luke looks at Alex and Reggie for an explanation the just shrug their shoulders and hint at him to grab his guitar, Luke chuckles and walks over to his guitar, after grabbing it he walks over to the girls staring right at Olivia, Olivia stands up waiting to see what he has to say. Julie sits their watching them both with a smile. Luke starts talking. "What made you both come back?"

"I guess we realizes how important music is to all of us" Olivia explains "And you guys have lost so much already. You can't loose this too."

Luke nods his head a little. "Thanks"

Olivia smiles at him and Luke smiles back before asking. "All right, boss. Where we at" He laughs a little, Olivia following.

"Oh, and by the way, happy birthday" She tells him. She sits back down to Julie who gives her a look and nudges her shoulder. Luke turns to Alex and Reggie, before turning back to Olivia with a smile before walking away a little. "I think Julie is more the boss, but I think you should go from the pre-chorus"

"One, two, three, four" Alex counts down before they all start playing again, Julie singing, Olivia joining in singing a few times but mostly focusing on tweaking some lyrics, missing the eyes that would always travel back to her.
