"I giggled at her plan which went down the drains and got the dress out the cupboard and started wearing it.

Then I turned towards the full length mirror to look at myself. I kept the accessories minimum nothing too flashy. With that I picked up my phone and purse, and made my way down to wait for my friends."

I was sitting on the couch and scrolling my Instagram about new feeds and that's when I heard a car park outside the front gate. It's them, my crazy gang.

I lifted my skirt so that it doesn't get dirt and opened the gate for them to enter. As soon as the gate open I was engulfed in a big hug from my girl.

" God, It's been so long since I have seen you girl! How are you?" Razima asked me and I replied,

" Well... how do I look?" while twirling around for her to get a good look at me.

 She just laughed and said, " Well, How about me?" Then she did the same as me but was interrupted by those ' 2 idiots' Ben and Varun.

" You both look like a monkey who just escaped from the zoo." Ben said to us. 

" No... I don't think that they had escaped from a zoo machan, ( means dude) They might have escaped from a mental hospital." Varun said and Ben agreed to what he said and they burst out laughing as if that was the joke of the year. 

And I just hold out my tongue at him. They laughed even harder. But we decided to ignore them and that's when I  noticed that two of us are missing. 

"Where are Lava and Ram?" I asked them. 

" Well, you must have known beforehand about that but Ram is picking her up. I think they should be here any moment now." Ben said and I just nodded my head.

We made our way inside and my family greeted them. A few minutes later we were laughing so hard of the gossip Varun said to us. Seriously, he needs to grow up and he knows more gossip than us if it is even possible.

" Hey, where is the coordinator for this program?" I asked them but they shrugged at my question. 

" Wait... Let me call her. " Razima said and was about to call them but we heard her voice.

" There is no need for that. I'm here! Come on, Guys hurry up its already late!" Lavanya exclaimed and called out at us.

And Varun snapped at her playfully, " And whose fault is that?" She rolled her eyes and greeted my parents and dragged us to the car. We said our goodbye to them and got in.

 Ram was driving the car and Lava had the shotgun. Myself and Razima were seated in the middle because of our dress and which leaves the boys to sit behind us and they were grumbling about being seated at the last.

" Now that we are alone, Can you say the reason for being late?" I asked Lava. From behind us, we heard a boom of laughter as if they knew something apart from us. 

" Come on, Ram answer her question!" Varun teased him and those Idiots were laughing their ass off.

 Am I missing something?

" It doesn't make any sense to me and you two shut the fuck up. You are getting on my nerves! ." Razima yelled at them which made them control their own laughing party. 

" Well, you know...Guys, Do you want to hear some music? Let me connect to my playlist." Ram said to changes the topic.

 " Not so easy mister and why is lava awfully quiet and Is she blushing?" I asked confused by their behaviour. There is something wrong with them since our last meet.

" Wait! I know you guys won't answer. Ben, what's going on? " Razima asked him Sternly. 

" Well, it's not my place to say even though we are friends. Let them explain and give them some time Girls." Ben said to us.

" I will...I mean we will explain once we are at Nisha's place and for the time being, You both shut up " Lava said to us and directed the latter sentence to the two idiots behind us.

I just looked at both of them and they shrugged. To eliminate the silence, I started playing songs from Ram's phone and we soon reached our destination. You see Nisha is the daughter of one of the famous businessman in the city and so the arrangement for her engagement was incredible.

Once we entered the hall, We were greeted by Nisha's parents. They welcomed us and asked about our whereabouts. After our mini chat session, they showed the way towards her room. We reached her room but god, The room was packed with women and girls getting her ready for her special day.

From here I could sense her tension. With that, Varun Knocked on the door. As soon as her eyes met with us she runs and embraced us in a big bear hug.

" I thought you guys won't make it on time. I am so tensed right and just me a sec." she said to us catching her breath and turn toward the huge crowd in her huge room.

" Can you please give us some space? I'm almost ready and my friends here will help me." she politely asked everyone and they left the room giving us some space. Leaving the huge room to us.

" You know at least the girls could have stayed. We might have gotten some chance over here," Ben said and the Other two nodded their heads but one glare from Lava, Ram becomes quiet and once again the other two started laughing.

" Why are you guys laughing for nothing?" Nisha asked them looking as confused as us. Better luck in finding the reason behind their stupid Hyena laughter, I thought to myself.

" They have been like this for a while now and which remains me what's up with you? Come on, Lava now we are here speak out?" I asked Lava and analyzing her what she was about to tell us.

But Ram started talking, " You guys know that I had a crush on lava ever since forever but she recently discovered that and thanks for the stupid truth or dare game you brought up Last time we met. I... I confessed my feelings not only to her but to the whole group. since then things were awkward between us but it's gone now." He finished his rambling but it made no sense.

" It doesn't make any sense and what's gone?" Nisha voiced my thoughts. 

" You girls are seriously dumb? He means that they are dating, Duh." Varun said to us and our reply was "what, when, and how," each one of us asked to them.

" Shri, You missed 'where' and 'why'. " Ben teased which earned him a glare from me.  

" See, I don't know how to explain guys but it kind of happened. I know we are best friends but I didn't mean to hide this from you. I was waiting for the right time to say this in person." Lava explained, and from her voice, I know that she was nervous.

We heard a loud squeal beside me and it was Nisha. She hugged both Ram and lava.

" It's about time you guys confronted your feelings for each other I am happy for you guys," Nisha said to them and that left us to answer. My reaction and Razima's we're same confused and awestruck. I came out of my stance and hugged her.

" You bloody rascal! This is great, I mean 'wow'. I can't believe that!" I exclaimed and hugged them and soon Razima joined us. 

" What about us?" Ben and Varun whined which made us girls giggle at each other and soon we were in a group hug. 

" I am so happy for you and Now, I know why the hell you were so tensed about meeting us like it's our first time meeting each other." I gave Lava a knowing look and she gave away a sheepish reaction which made us laugh at her.

Suddenly, Nisha's room was opened and her mother came inside and looked at us as if we had grown horns on our head.

" Kids! You are not kids anymore. As much as I love to watch this reunion, It's getting late and Nisha, It's your engagement today and not tomorrow." Nisha's mom said to us.

And Ben replied, " Aunty, Just now you mentioned us as 'kids' and then 'not to act as kids' according to you what are we actually?" Nisha's mom came near him and grabbed his ear and twisted it playfully. 

" To me, You guys are always kids. Like when I first saw you in your small uniform, but I expect you to act like an adult for once and jaldi Karo!" ( mean hurry up in Hindi). Saying these she went outside but stopped at the door.  

" I can't believe that my girl is looking like a princess and you girls look so beautiful today," She said with a Huge smile on her face. 

" And what about us, Aunty?" Ram asked her and she just shrugged and said,

" Just impress at least one girl today with your so called charming looks then I will approve you three as handsome." And left the room not before to hurry us up.

This made us laugh at 3 of them and they were awestruck at her reply. 

" Baby, what do think about me?" Ram pouted and asked Lava to which we all gagged.

" Dude! Can you stop with those flirting attitudes in front of us and seriously 'baby' you can do better than that man." Ben teased Ram to which he flipped him. 

Lava was blushing like anything but it made me happy at least she is dating someone who can be trusted. Soon we helped Nisha to complete her look with a lot of teasing about her soon-to-be fiance and it's her time for blushing. Yeah, she having an arranged marriage.

That's when Nisha's cousins came inside and gave us her usual disgusted look at us. I mean is there anything wrong with our looks or the way we are?

" Well, Look who is here? I see that you guys still haven't changed? I can't understand why my cousin still hangs out with you guys." Manisha one of her cousins said and before Nisha could defend us I stated politely.

" I could see that after these many years you still haven't changed and couldn't digest the fact that you can't be in our group." I finished and gave her my sweet smile.

She scoffed at us and said, "Like I am interested. I have better friends of our status and we have a great time which you can't even experience." And this got Nisha temper and she snapped at her 

" That's why I have these 'idiots' as my friends and not yours. They aren't with me for my money or status unlike yours and they are here for me. To support me and We have been through a lot. But we are still as same as the first time we saw. Can you say that for yourself? And you talk like that they don't have money. Just because you have an overflow of money and rich friends can not buy you the type of friendship I have and with due respect, Can you please leave the room we will there in few minutes!"

 Without a word being said they left us alone. We had a proud grin on our face.

" Well, That was a great speech. I am 'Touched by your words' and I am proud to be your best friend, Girl." Ben smirk at her and she flipped him out and we all chuckled at her and made our way outside.

The place was decorated with yellow, white, and red flowers. Lights were arranged according to the day light and slow soft music could be heard. The beds were neatly arranged for us to sit and the sheets were white, the pillows and design patterns were gold in colour. On a whole, It was perfect and elegant.

The elders were seated on the chairs and others were seated around us. Nisha made sure that we were near her parents so that she could sit with us. Opposite us were the groom's parents and family, close friends, and relatives.

" Nisha? Are you alright?" I asked her and looked like she was about to pass out.

" Maybe you shouldn't have asked that. Ben, can you grab some water for her?" Lava asked him and he brought a water bottle for her and Nisha gulped a whole lot. Then she looked somewhat okay.

Her fiancé looked at her and gave a worried expression but she just gave a reassuring smile that everything is good. And we watched their exchange and started teasing her. Thankfully the music was a bit loud. But we had our best time.

" Wait till you guys are in my position and I will enjoy to the core." Nisha said and fake glared at us all and we laughed at her.

Soon the couple was asked to come over and they sat beside each other and exchanged their rings. we all hooted and shouted at the new couple. They looked happy and soon music started to play and others started dancing. What's a function without music and dance?

The couple's we're taking a photo and it's our time for us to pose. Nisha introduced us to her fiance and he seemed to be cool. We guys took some photos and enjoying our time.

But her mom pulled us over the crowd and asked us to dance. You see our girl's gang is famous for our dance at our school and college. So it was easy for us to pick up moves. We started to dance to the songs which we asked to play by the DJ.

We always have so much fun while we are dancing and forget where we were. It's just us and no one else mattered. Once finished, We received a round of applause and appreciation threw at us and we could see the groom was mesmerized by our best friend performance.

" Wow... it's been so long we danced together," Razima squealed and we all agreed and started giggling at each other and the guest were confused at our actions. we were hugging each other and are living our old memories. 

" Hmm... I am extremely sorry for their behaviour. These girls here are having memory lane. Please excuse them!" Ben announced to the crowd and everyone started laughing which made our cheeks red with embarrassment. We quickly made our way around the crowd but was stopped by a group of gentlemen.

This caused Nisha stopped abruptly and resulted in us falling down along with her. To say we were embarrassed was an understatement.

Now, this is not how we planned on enjoying our party. We were helped by those 'gentleman' but I was lifted by a hot, handsome, whatever you could say. Hell, He was a fine specimen and definitely a sight to watch. I was still mesmerized in his stance and I could feel tingles forming. Once on I was on my feet, I thanked him he just chuckled at my reaction. God, He catched me staring at him.

He was taller than me with broad shoulders, built-up body structure but not too much like the hulk, two days shaven beard, full lips and his eyes were the most captivating feature. He has golden brown eye colour and It's like you could fall deep in the ocean and get drowned just by watching him. 

His gaze held so much intensity that, I couldn't explain what it is? I felt someone shake my shoulder and it was 'Varun'. He is always the overprotective brother I have never had. He pulled me towards his side and mumbled a 'small thanks' and that guy just smiled at me.

I gave away a small smile and that's when it struck me that, 'I was openly checking him out'. I felt embarrassed. One of the gentlemen complimented about our performance and congratulated Nisha on her engagement and left the Avenue. It's like an awestruck moment. I smiled to myself and we soon made our way to the lunch buffet and had our fun. I haven't thought about those golden-brown eyes again.
