" okay if you two over there finished can you guys take your seat so that we could discuss further?" Dad asked us and raised his eyebrows at us and I smiled at him and made my way over but Mrithun hands didn't leave mine. "Brother if you dont leave her how could you expect her to move?" Harish teased his brother and Mrithun scowled at him and eventually left me. I gave him a sweet smile and he returned the favour. "Your son is whipped," someone said but I could still feel 3 pairs of eyes on me."

I could feel the warmth leave my body. I sighed and made my way to sit near her but my sister over there pulled me along with her.

I sat in between Tarika and Nethra. Madhu was busy eating her fruits while my brother Harish feeds her. Some things never change. Tarun was busy staring at Shalini while she was speaking with Shristi and her sisters.

I picked up my phone and texted him
' brother wipe your mouth, So much of drool'. He came out of his magical world to look into his phone.

Once he saw my messages, he glared at me. I laughed at him, I mentally noted to ask what was that about. Everyone was busy catching up with each other.

" Rithu you look happy. It's been years since I have seen you like this." Nethra said to me.

" It's all because of that girl over there. I know it's crazy but it's been just a week since I saw her. She turned my world upside down." I replied to her which was true.

What are you doing to me, Shristi? I questioned myself. I looked at her and she was staring at me. I winked at her and there comes my shy girl.

Today was eventful. I couldn't believe I proposed to her in public. But what made me the happiest man on the earth was the moment she said 'yes.'

I thought she would hesitate to answer but she surprised me. I mean who in the right mind says 'yes' to the guy she met the day before and also revealed his dark past.

She is something. I was busy in my thoughts that I forgot Nethra was speaking to me.

" Mrithun where are your thoughts? I'm speaking to you!" Nethra snapped her fingers in front of my face.

I was forced to look away from my girl.

" Sorry, what were you saying?" I asked her to repeat her words but she didn't. What's wrong with her?

" Anna,( means brother in Tamil) I know a Pandit Ji. He is one of the best astrologers. We can contact him and ask him to over and look through Mrithun and Shristi's astrology. What do you say?" My aunt asked my dad.

And he nodded his head.

" Is that okay with you Mohan?" And he gave away his consent.

It's a tradition in south India to look over the bride and groom's astrology to find out the match between them. I sighed at him I don't believe in those things, but I need to agree for my family.

" Okay, Next Sunday will be perfect. I invite your family to our home. There we could have lunch and fix other things." My dad said to uncle Mohan and he agreed with him.

With that, we had our dinner dosa and chicken gravy. We had a fun night as well. Shristi was managing good but I could see her in pain.

It was time for us to leave. I bid goodbye to everyone but I had my eyes on my girl. She was busy engrossed in conversation with my sister and Madhu.

" I don't think you will get your goodbyes and good night kiss this time brother," Tarun said to me and I smacked his head.

" I think you are jealous because I could bid goodbye to my girl whereas you can't? Right." I asked him and he looked like a sheep caught in the light.

" No, I dont know what you are talking about." He masked his face but I know your brother. Let him stake his claim when it's time.

" Suit yourself, little bro. Whatever helps you sleep well at night." I casually said to him. I had my hands in my pocket.

Come on, girls give me some time with my girl. I groaned internally. But I was interrupted by Mohan and Mano uncle.

They were asking me about our business. Soon dad and my brothers joined us.

" Rithu Kanna, I almost forgot to give an important file to Mohan. Can you fetch it for me?" He asked me and I nodded my head.

On my way, I looked for Shri but every woman in our family was chit-chatting. I sighed and moved towards dads car.

While I took the file he asked everyone came out and started to enter into the car.

" Anna comes on. Let's go I'm tired!" Tarika whined at me while standing at my car.

Finally, I could talk to her. I made my way to dad while searching for her but she is nowhere to be found. I frowned at this. where has she gone?

" She has gone inside to get some water for your dad. If you are also thirsty you can go inside and ask her." Shruthi said to me while others agree and my brothers were smirking at me.

" I get your point and thanks I owe you guys." With that, I made my way inside.

There she was filling water in a bottle. I sneaked up to her and hugged her from behind and before she could shout I muffled her voice using my hands.

" Are you not going to say goodbye to me? I need to wait for another week to see you." I whispered huskily near her voice and she bit my hand.

"Ouch...what the hell Shri? You just have to ask me.; No need to bite." I teased her and she got the meaning what I said and she said "perv" I laughed at her and said,

" Only for you, baby."

She held my shirt and pulled me closer. Wow, she got bolder. I smirked at her and wrapped her closer to me. I could feel her chest on me. She is literally like a skin attached to me.

I slowly kissed her jaws and moving to her cheeks and then her eyes.

" You are captivating me in your eyes girl, damn," I muttered and she giggled. My gazes fell on her lips. What would I need to give to have her lips to me?

I groaned at that and she raised her beautiful eyebrows at her then wraps her arms around my neck.

And I'm controlling myself not to kiss her but she is making it difficult.

" Baby, you are making it difficult for me not to capture your lips with mine," I whispered near her ears and placed a quick kiss on her neck and she lets out a small moan.

I buried my face in her neck while she does the same. I looked at her and before I could stop myself I leaned and pecked her lips. And looked into her eyes.

" I know it's stupid but... Can I kiss you? Only if you are..." She pecked my lips and blushed deeper. I chuckled at her.

" Eager are we, Ms Shristi?" I teased her and closed the gap slowly. I close my eyes and I was to meet her soft one. But didn't. She kept her fingers between us.

"Eager are we Mr Mrithun? And payback is bitch, bro." She repeated my words and moved away from me while smiling at me.

I was about to catch her but our siblings came over.

" Guys, this is not the time for Lock and Key game. It's time to get home Mrithun." Harish said to me and I sighed in defeat.

"Okay...okay. I'm coming." With that, I made my way out but not before glaring at the little minx.

I mouthed her 'it's on baby' and winked at her. She gave me a challenging look.

"Mrithun what's taking you this much time? Aunt is calling, come soon." Nethra said to me

" Okay, but what's the hurry?" I questioned her and she smirked at me and said,

" We are staying at your house today. Like we used to do as kids. Come on."

I rolled my eyes at her. But before I could leave Shristi held my hand. I looked at her and I knew what she needs.

I picked her up in the air and hugged her tightly. Then placed a small kiss on her neck and bit her slightly.

" Good night, Sleep tight! Take care. Call me, Be there on time. I can't wait to see you again." I said all those things at a stretch and this one over her giggled at it.

I put her down and planted a chaste kiss on her forehead.

" I never knew, he is such a romantic person. But whatever, let's go." Tarika said to and everyone chuckled at us.

" Bye, baby. Take care of our baby." I said and patted her belly and she laughed at me.

"I and baby will miss you." she joined the act. I shook my head at her and pecked her lip.

" There is my favourite colour," I said and joined our hands together.

With that, we made our way outside. She once again bid everyone goodbye and I was about to get in she held my hand.

" You know? I have to leave. Unless you want me to take you to our home." I pulled her legs.

She was about to say something but got interrupted by her mom.

" Kanna, come over here. So that they could move".

" Yes, amma once sec. Give me your phone," she asked me and I hand over to her. She quickly typed and gave me.

"That's my number save it and don't forget to call when you are free." She said and I saved her number and showed the screen stating 'mine 💞'

She gave me sweet smile and moved over to her parents. She stood behind everyone, I got inside and looked at her and she gave me a flying kiss and I pretend to catch it.

She laughed and shook her head at me and I mouthed her ' Miss you' and I swear, I could see tears that are trying to escape from hers but she hid it and gave me slight smile.

I know it's her period hormones but deep down we both feel the same need to be with each other. With one last look at her and her family, I drove out of their streets and reached safely.

Next few days were gone by. We both shared everything and anything about us or others. We get to know more about each other.

Slow steps at a time. We were busy most of the time because of our work but we made time for ourself. She didn't ask about what happened next but I know I have to complete the rest of the story.

J was thinking about her and dad came inside my cabin.

" Mrithun, we need to be there for a meeting with one of our clients. The company we are about to go is potentially good and If you are interested you could buy the company to expand your business, what do you say?" Dad asked me.

I was anyway thinking about expansion so why not give it a try, what the clients are about.

" Okay, dad if I'm interested in and find any use I will consider," I replied to him and he nodded his head and informed me that Harish won't be accompanying us. As he needs to take Madhu for her check-up and instead of him my little brother and sister will tag along with.

This is just great.

" Are you sure dad? Why those two Devils are needed?" I asked him and he replied,

" They need to gain experience and I simply can't leave those two alone in the house. God, know what happens if I leave them. And your mom left them me as in charge of them." He said to me and I laughed at him.

" Dad you have to be grateful that they have got semester holidays for 3 days and not a week," I said to him and he agreed with my point.

Before leaving he said to me, " It's good to see you laugh and have a normal conversation with me. I love you son."

And God, did he just got emotional? But I could feel his concern and love over his voice. I smiled at him and continued with my work. After an hour we reached our client's company and made our way to the meeting room. Just so great. I clenched my fist in my arms.
