[Api's POV]

Hi! Hello! Hey!

Guess what? My cheerful self is back! Thanks to my big brother, Cahaya!

Oh, right! Maybe some of you are wondering what just happened to me a while back. Actually, this is what happened...

[Flashback]

"Let's play videogames!"

"Already!?" My big brother exclaimed, looking at me in disbelief. "Why don't you eat first? Look at yourself." He stated, as he stared at me then at my thin body.

"I'm not hungry..." I replied, pouting at him.

"I'll cook you some fried chicken." He said, making me gasped and smile widely from what he said.

"OKAY!" I replied, giggling softly.

[End of Flashback]

So, yeah, after that, I ate more and more until my health is back on track again. And for our parents, they'd already accepted me for who I am since, big brother Cahaya talked to them for me. Hihi, he's such a caring brother.

4 years had passed...

I'm on my last straw
I'm broken, And I've woken up

Seriously, it's unbelievably fast! I'm already in the age of twelve and here I am, graduating from my elementary years! It's so surprising and at the same time, exciting!

In these years, I have received many medals from all of my subjects, and my family couldn't help but feel proud of what I'd achieved.

Right now, I'm here at the backstage, waiting for my time to shine as the speaker is currently speaking to everyone in the audience.

And all the words you speak
Mean nothing more to me

"Now, let us call on Api to give his message to a very special person." The speaker said, as if it's now my cue to reveal myself to everyone and went to the podium. I cleared my throat then started speaking to my schoolmates, teachers, friends and family.

'Cause I'd start over now

"Do you know that there's someone who holds a special place in my heart that could be filled by no one else?" I asked, then glanced at my big brother and smiled warmly.

Rewind

"It's my big brother, Cahaya." I answered for all of them, causing them to curve a soft smile on their faces while some even glanced at my big brother.

And I won't let you go
I need you by my side

"And this message, is for him." I stated, my smile widened as I looked at everyone watching and listening to my speech. I then started giving my speech to all of them.

I need you by my side

"Brother, a person who is there when you need him; someone who picks you up when you fall; a person who sticks up for you when no one else will; a brother is always a friend."

'Cause I need you by my side

"My brother is really a superstar, the world's best ever Bro, cool, good-looking, clever too... it runs in the family, ya know!" Api stated, giggling lightly. My big brother chuckled along as some audience too, chuckled or giggled as well. 

I'm done, I'm gone
So don't run from the truth

"Without him, I'll never get to achieve these medals nor a certificate. Without him, I guess I'll be stuck here being a Grade 6 elementary student all year."

Your thoughts
Now I know

"And because of him, I became the person that I am today." I smiled proudly at everyone.

"Honestly, there have been good times and a few fights, maybe because in many ways we are too much alike."

I still can't believe

"I have never said it much as somehow, the time or mood never seemed right or perhaps, there is something in me that keeps me from saying it in his face as much as I should, but regardless I want him to know that I love him."

Cutting all my teeth
With all the lies you bring

"Our journey through life may take us far apart but it will not matter as neither distance nor time will dull that which is between us." I then glanced at my big brother with a warm smile.

'Cause I'd start over now

"You are my brother because of blood, but you are my friend because of love." I genuinely said, a tear escaped from my eyes while smiling sadly then glanced back at the audience. I saw some tearing up from my speech, some smiled widely from what I said and some nodded sincerely in agreement.

Rewind

"He is my first best friend and helps me in every trouble. He makes me smile when I am sad."

And I won't let you go

"He is my love, my hero, the perfect boy, the PERFECT BROTHER... There is no one like my brother, and I love him forever and ever."

I need you by my side

I glanced at my big brother once again, then I saw him, tearing up in joy. He smiled heartily as he looked at me, and mouthed the words, "I love you more, Api."

I need you by my side

All of the sudden, a bright light appeared beside me and before I knew it, my big brother was now in front of me, embracing me tightly. I smiled softly as I hugged him back, feeling his warmth and love for me. From the background, I could hear my schoolmates cheerfully clapping and squealing in giddiness as I mentally laughed from their actions.

"I'm proud of you, my little brother." My big brother genuinely said, loosening the hug and smiled warmly at me. "I told you you could wear that graduation attire someday. And, it has finally happened now." He added, chuckling. I smiled softly at his response.

"Thank you for everything, big brother Cahaya."

'Cause I need you by my side
