Jimin and Taehyung would usually talk about their problems and difficulties in life with eachother to keep their relationship as crystal as possible.
But it was some parts that was shared, not all of it was said. Subconsciously keeping secrets is a can be a normal human instinct sometimes.

Before they'd tirelessly talk for hours and hours not having a care in the world but just that they're together and sharing their pure  smiles with eachother.

But now their conversations together, calls and texts became very short and simple, there was the most minimal amount of eagerness which seemed it could slip away the next day. Though their hearts still yearned for the other's affection.
It was that their lives were getting busy and they were being caught up in it.

But still no matter how late it was at night or how tired Taehyung was he tried to never miss to send Jimin a goodnight text and telling him how much loved and missed him

But Jimin on the other hand, felt... Lost.
He felt as if his feelings and emotions were slipping away from his own being, his mind would constantly be blank, the clock's ticking was the only this he found intriguing. He was just unsure of what he felt anymore.
There wasn't any particular reason for him to feel this way, but he still he did.
He'd sometimes ask himself,

'was it still the same?'

He'd read those messages and smile like an idiot but his heart was cowering away, it was starting to tire him out mentally and he wouldn't reply back, instead the next day when Taehyung would ask why he didn't reply he'd just simply lie and say he fell asleep early.

Why did he do this?
Jimin didn't have an answer for that.

Taehyung wasn't dumb, he could sense lies.
Particularly Jimin's lies.
But he never questioned it. He was afraid to question it that the hope he'd been holding onto would scatter away from his grip.

It's just not in this case only, Jimin lied to Taehyung about many more things. Some lies were so small and insignificant but easily detectable that it seemed like he was asking to be caught.
Taehyung would just play it off as a joke because if something was wrong that surely the first person Jimin would open up to would be him, right?

But deep deep inside he had this one poisonous, delicate and hurting question lingering in his mind.
