Swayam's POV

"Mom!" I called out as I descended the stairs with Robin following behind, with my travel bag. I looked at time in my watch, it is time, they would arrive anytime now... Yes, I am going on a trip with friends. And how did I agree? Well, long story short, rejected the plan first, Rey pressurized and then thought of my resolve to change and ended up agreeing to join everyone...

"Coming!" Mom yelled exiting the kitchen with paper bags in her hand.

"What are these?" I asked curiously, half expecting the thing I am already assuming to be...

"Ohhhh these, these are some snacks I made for the journey" and there you go! Bulls eye! But it was so easy to guess... From the time I have informed in the house that I am going on a trip, mom is totally overexcited about it so much that she couldn't even rest for sometime without thinking of my trip. Why won't she be? Afterall I am going on a casual trip after years other than those of businesses...

She was so shocked that I agreed. I was shocked at my own decision too but it was necessary. How did Rey managed to convince me? Well, it was not Rey! I agreed because of the promise I gave to my Sharon to be a good boy. I saw this as the best opportunity and grabbed it with open hands. Rey couldn't believe that I agreed so easily, and I had to give excuse that I needed a break and all... And in this trip, I will also try apologising to Pia! I was a total jerk that day, I didn't even think before I spoke... I was snapped back to present by the door bell ringing...

"What's the need of all these ma!" I said to her irritated. She is treating me as if I am a kid going to school tour from day 1!!!

"Shut up Swayu! And keep this" she snapped at me and forwarded the packets...

"No way! I am not gonna keep that, everyone is gonna tease me... I am not carrying this with me" I said to her sternly pointing towards the packets...

"Who is not carrying what!?" Came the voice of Rey! Mom turned towards him and soon a huge smile spread over her face.

"See Rey, he is not agreeing to take the snacks I prepared for him, for you guys, to have them in the journey..." Mom whined in front of him and he glared at me...

"What happened if this idiot doesn't want to take these delicacies, I am there, your another son! I love these" Rey said excitedly taking packets from the table and literally hugging them to his chest...

"Aww... You are such a sweetheart!" Mom said and ruffled his hair.

"Hey beautiful! Not my hair!" Rey whined dramatically and both shared a hearty laugh. Oh my, I adore this so much!

"If you have finished with your melodrama, let's move?"I asked pulling up my backpack on my shoulders and going for another bag...

"Ya sure... Bye aunty, take care ok?" He said to mom and she nodded...

"Bye mom! See you after 5 days. Take care, don't miss your medicines, eat food on time! If I get any call from Robin, then you know what will happen!" I said taking ma's hand in my hand...

"I know, I know, you will leave everything and come running here. Don't worry, I will be fine. You enjoy okay?" She said and smiled faintly. I nodded and kissed her forehead and left from there.

I entered the back door in a hurry as we were already late! Thanks to mom and Rey! As soon as I sat back, I looked at my right, oh my god! No wonder I felt the sudden current when our bodies touched. Pia, was sitting right next to me. I looked at Rey in the passenger seat through the rear view mirror and saw him smirking... Whole journey beside her? No way!

"Rey! Can we exchange the seats?" I asked him with pleading eyes, hoping he would understand my point but he rejected...

"Hey! I am not comfortable here!" I said to him and he just shook his head again...

"What do you mean you aren't comfortable!? Am I making you uncomfortable?" Pia snapped at me...

"Now where did that come from!?" I asked irritated...

"Then what else do you mean???" Pia shouted at me. This is enough!

"You know what? Yes! You are making me uncomfortable!" I yelled back at her...

"You..." She was cut by Rey saying...

"Guys guys, no fights please... Swayam, come in the front, I am coming to your place" He opened the door and same did I. We exchanged the seats and I saw the person driving. What the hell is he doing here!?

"What is Sid doing in this car??" I asked turning back to Rey and unfortunately Pia!

"He is driving! Can't you see?" Pia mocked at me and I thinned my lips to control my anger...

"Dude that was rude!" Rey chided me and shit! Why was I so worked up seeing him!?

"Oh, sorry dude... I meant to ask that is he accompanying us?" I asked in a polite tone...

"Ofcourse yes!" Pia butted in again Rey gestured her to be quite.

"Guys!!!" Everyone in the car yelled together and that's when I noticed all of them...

I forced a smile at her and all for the information given and turned to Sid. He was grinning widely seeing us, is he mad? I passed a smile at him too and turned completely to the front and my left side window! My only safe direction in this journey...

As soon as the car reached the outskirts of the city, Pia yelled to stop the car and Sid had to apply sudden breaks... I got worried as to what happened so suddenly and turned back.

"Get down! Now!" She ordered Sid, her doing the same. Sid heaved a huge sigh in relief and she came forward taking the driver's seat...

"What!?" She asked turning to me, catching me red handed staring at her...

"You are not going to drive!" The words slipped out of my tongue before my knowledge...

"Excuse me?" She asked turning to me completely.

"I said, you are not going to drive!" I said sternly and she smirked at that...

"And who are you to decide that!?" She asked folding her hands in front of her chest, giving me a 'mess with me and you are gone look'...

"I..." I didn't find any word leaving my mouth. I cannot let her drive the car... Sharon was also a good driver but... Oh wait... Why am I even comparing her to Sharon!? I frowned looking at her. She is Pia! Not Sharon! Get a grip Swayam! I turned back to my safe direction and settled in my seat...

"Exactly! You have no right to decide what I do and what I don't!" She commented and started the car. I chose to ignore that statement. She is right! Who am I? Why did I even stop her???

The whole ride I was wide awake, my heart thudding loudly as a vehicle passed by or when she accelerated or applied breaks, whereas most of them behind were sleeping, snoring... Why am I reacting like this? I have no idea. I just can't calm down my nerves... I was thinking all these things and the car came to an halt suddenly!

"What happened!? Are you okay!?" I shouted in panic, startling everyone from their sleep. Rey got up worried and asked the same...

"Arey relax guys!" Pia said undoing her seatbelt.

"Then why did you apply sudden breaks?" I asked her frowning...

"What!? I didn't apply any. Instead I parked the car and the ending was little jerk, that's all!" She said shrugging and I looked around out of the window. We were really in a parking with 3-4 cars around us...

"Why did you park!?" I asked again. God! Why am I asking such stupid questions!?

"Huh? Ofcourse to eat breakfast. Aren't you hungry? Get down now, we are at the dhaba" She asked and realisation hit me, oh yeah! We started early morning so couldn't have our breakfasts...

"Yes dude... I am so hungry!" Vicky said yawning and everyone agreed...

"You okay?" Rey asked tapping my shoulders noticing that I was still in the same position as before. I nodded and got down quickly...

I ran my hands through hair in frustration. What is wrong with me!? I am taking Pia as Sharon, panicking at petty things and moreover instead of apologizing to her, I am getting into new fights and arguments... Argh! Get a grip Swayam! Get a grip! I suddenly felt a hand slid across my shoulders and turned to see it was Rey...

"Something is wrong, what is it?" He asked narrowing his eyes at me...

"Nothing, just tired..." I said looking up at the cloudy sky.

"Okay come, let's join others" he said and dragged me towards the dhaba... We all had breakfast and enjoyed a lot too. Later Rey adviced that he would drive and Pia agreed. I don't know when, but I drifted into my sleep.

We arrived at his farmhouse around 12:30 in the afternoon... Yes, we had started early morning at 6 o'clock do that we wouldn't waste any time. It was a beautiful bungalow built at the hilltop, which gives a amazing overlook at the valleys. I was mesmerized by the view from its garden... We agreed to meet at two for the lunch and departed for our rooms. It wasn't a huge big farmhouse but of a decent size, we had to share the rooms... Pia and Simmi in one room, Kriya and Rinni in another, Nil-Vicky and Amar-Bharat were paired up in their rooms and I was left with Rey in his room. Sid decided to stay alone in another room, saying he had some of his work to do. Though one more room was available, we agreed to stay the way we were...

"Again! What's wrong bro?" Rey asked as he locked our door and faced me completely...

"Again! Nothing!" I said and started unpacking my luggage, looking for a new pair of clothes to change...

"Fine! Don't tell me" he scoffed and plopped on the bed huffing. I rolled my eyes seeing him behave like he is my girlfriend or something! I didn't reply and got freshened up. Next was Rey to go and I started working on my laptop sitting on the couch... Though I am away from work, there are still some matters that I have to look into. I will complete it before lunch so that I can enjoy later. Woah! The word enjoy and me paired up after pretty long time I guess...

"What's in the lunch?" Nil asked as soon as we settled on the dining table. It was not big enough to accommodate 11 people, so we had pulled out various seats from wherever possible.

"It's the local tasty food. I had given special instructions to prepare this today. This is so delicious" Rey said serving himself a spoonful and licking his lips before eating. We all chuckled at his behaviour and started with our food. He was right, this is so damn delicious. We all enjoyed our lunch a lot and gathered in the living room...

"So, what's the plan guys?" Kriya asked

"Today as we all are tired by the journey, we would just visit the sunset point. We will come and rest for tomorrow..." Rey said and the girls got so excited about the sunset point.

"When are we going???" Simmi asked cheerfully.

"It's 4 now, so let's move in half an hour. The place from here takes time to reach. And yeah, carry warm things, evenings here are quite cold." Rey said and all nodded and left for their rooms...

We are now at the sunset point, basically a mountain top with deep valley the other side, which gives amazing view of the dense western ghats. They had fenced the line of area of the steep. I was just standing in a corner, gazing the nature around. Rey was with kriya in his arms, having their own moment of happiness. Simmi and Rinni with Pia were busy clicking photos in different poses and boys were here and there, eating peanuts that is sold nearby and also clicking photos... How I wish you were with me Sharon, here, at this moment, it would have been so perfect. Perhaps, that isn't in my fortune to be so fortunate. But life had given me one chance of this perfect moment...

*Flashback*

"Yeah, hold my hand tight, exactly, now pull yourself up... Yes... Yes... Almost there... Huff!" Finally she was up. Me and my Sharon had come to a trek for the Sinhagad fort and now finally we were about to reach the top... Now it was a little easier way up and we were walking hand in hand. This is so beautiful. Sharon, me and this nature.

When we had reached the top, we were just strolling around, exploring the fort and having our lunch. There was even a story about this place being haunted although I didn't believe in such things. Now we were tired and got seated on the moist grass of the fort, from where the entire village was visible. I folded my knees n circled my arms around it and Sharon did the same as well, and rested her head on my shoulders... We sat there quite, in solace, for don't know how much of time, savouring the moment, but I was startled by an excited squeal of Sharon. I looked at her and she was clapping her hands joyfully and looking far in the corner. I followed her gaze and rolled my eyes. Not again!!!

"Come, fast" she got up in a blink and started to stroll towards the 'kulfi wala'.

"Hey! Wait for me!" I got up quickly and jogged towards her...

"Bhaiya... Make 2 of these!" She said pointing on a particular kulfi...

"Theek hai (okay) madamji" the vendor said and started taking the kulfi and frowned

"Madamji, yeh ek hi hai...(there's only one left)" he said

"Okay, ek hi banado(make one)" Sharon said, grinning excitedly. Something is running in her mind...

"Yeh lo(take this)" he said and handed a kulfi in her hand I paid for it.

She moaned taking a bite and I was just lost in staring her. Awwww, she can be such a cute little kid at times. I don't know what will she do when her kids will be around, our kids... She looked at me, eating her kulfi and raised her eyebrows in question and I just shook my head in nothing. She shrugged and licked the drop that was about to slip from the kulfi. She doesn't even have an idea of what she is doing to me. She then forwarded the kulfi towards me and I noticed her nose was painted in a creamy paste, ofcourse of kulfi. Arghhh, how I wanna lick that cream off her nose, but I can't here... I held the kulfi over her hands and took a bite smiling, never leaving her eyes. She asked what with her eyes and I just wiped her nose with my finger. We both are the same kulfi and finished it. It never tasted so sweet and delicious ever before...

"Saabji(sir), change" the vendor interrupted our sweet little romantic moment and I just passed a tight smile at him. I snatched the notes from his hand and placed the exact amount there...

"Bhaiya, yahan pe shaam me Ruk sakte hain kya? (Brother, can we stay here at evening?)" Sharon asked...

"Haan madamji, but 7-8 baje tak hi, sab neeche Gao me chale jaate hain (yes mam, but only till 7-8 o'clock, we all go to the village down after that)" he replied and Sharon grinned again. God! Something is upto her, whenever she grins like that...

"Swayam! Let's see the sunset and go... Please..." She turned to me and requested with most pleading eyes that I cannot deny, ever! I nodded and she hugged my happily. Such small things make her so happy. I immediately wrapped my arms around her, feeling home...

We then went towards the peak point to see the beautiful sunset. We sat at the wall of the fort, hanging our legs on the side of the steep. Sharon feared at first, but I gave her assurance and she immediately agreed... We just sat there, looking in the far distance...

"It's so beautiful" Sharon said gazing the sunset sky and the orange sun... I turned to look at her and indeed it was a moment to capture. The glow of the sun, reflecting on her face as a second skin, her cheeks blushing slightly due to the cold, faint smile playing on her lips, mild fog flowing past her and cool sweet breeze fanning her face, to which her loose hair were dancing in their own rhythm, making her look like an angel, my angel...

"It is..." I said lost in admiring her, still looking at her...

"Huh?" She asked turning to me and we got lost in each others eyes. At that moment, I knew, I have fallen deep and hard for this girl and I don't care. I never want to get up if this is what is called as falling in love. I want it to be the way it is, just perfect...

*Flashback ends*

I was pulled out of my thoughts by a cold splash of water on my face...

"What the...." I shouted and wiped the water off my face and saw the person in front of me and not even a word slipped out after that. I closed my eyes again, and took deep breath and opened them again. It's still the same...

Pia was standing before me, holding a bottle. But soon her expressions changed from laughing to a serious one. I saw others and some were wet, some were partially and some were dry and panting. No doubt they were having a water fight! These people are no less than kids...

Pia's POV

Suddenly, Nil threw some water drops at Simmi when we were taking a selfie... And soon, a water fight started with our own bottles. Rey and Nil were still dry and running and I was behind them. I had blocked Rey near the fence and threw water at him but he was soon enough to move and the water splashed on Swayam! Oh my god! Why him? My laugh faded away as soon as I saw him...

"What the...." He yelled and glared at me, but his eyes softened as soon as they met mine. Then he closed his eyes and opened again! It wasn't an action to calm anger, it was of trying to come out of a dream... Then he looked at all of us. His face was Stern and jaw clicking, he folded his hands against his chest and glared at me... I lowered my eyes and fiddling with the still half filled bottle. This time, it's my mistake. When he was not playing, it meant I don't have the right to disturb him too.

"I... I am sorry, it was by mistake" I said sternly but it a low voice. He is still not forgiven! I looked up and saw his eyes shooting daggers at me and then I looked away. But I soon heard him laughing and my head snapped towards him. He was really laughing and looking at everyone, laughing really hard. He caught his stomach and laughed even more.

He looks so ethereal while he is laughing. Why don't he laugh often? His eyes gets tiny, almost closed while laughing and those cute and hot dimples on his cheeks which deepens when he stretches his lips. His smile just like magic and his laugh is a so melodious to hear... A smile unknowingly took over my lips, seeing him laugh.

"Oh my! (Laugh) you guys (laugh) your faces!!!" He couldn't even saying properly and started laughing again... We all looked at each otger and soon, we all fell into bits of laughter, laughing our heart out.

"You aren't angry bro?" Rey asked laughing.

"Why will I be? You guys were having just fun!" He said and chuckled. Our laughter died eventually and we stood there calming ourselves... I saw him turning back to the valley. He leaned forward towards the fence and rested his hands on it. His smile faded immediately and sheer pain was written all over him. He hung his head low for few minutes and then looked up and smiled at the setting sun...

Maybe it's just not that simple as we all are thinking it to be. Maybe he has went through a lot of pain and hurt and even maybe going through... I think his rude and arrogant behaviour is just to cover up how vulnerable he is within.

I saw a tear form at the corner of his eyes but he wiped it before anyone could even notice but you can't hide from a person observing you continuously. He then quickly masked up his face as usual, as if he is a champion in doing it and turned towards us... Immediately or eyes met and I was caught off guard, staring at him. I looked away instantly and I can still feel his gaze on me. He walked towards us...

"Hey guys, let's get moving?" He spoke, his voice was little horse, for which, I know the reason.

"Yeah, let's go home!" Nil stood up, stretching his body to relax. We all agreed and started moving towards our car. We were to walk for about half a mile, where we had parked it... Everyone were moving in two's and three's at the edge of the road, but I was behind all of them, thinking about the Swayam Shekhawat aka my cryptic case I saw few moments ago...

Soon Swayam walked beside me, from behind me. Was he behind me all the time? I thought I was the last one... Him and me were walking side by side. He had his hands inside the pockets of his trousers and he was looking ahead, nowhere in particular. Maybe he must have catched pace unknowingly, he didn't even acknowledge me...

Suddenly he removed his hands and our hands slightly brushed. The current passing down my spine, made me halt abruptly and so did he. I looked up to him and passed a weak smile. But he, didn't react at first, then passed a tight, forced, fake smile and then, I got lost in his eyes. They always hold me back, whenever I see through them! I could read his eyes just like an open book. But I am the only one here feeling things! He doesn't even care! It has zero effect on him, whether I am around or not...

"Hey you two! What happened?" Sid's shout pulled us out of our trance as they were little far from us, because we had stopped walking. I looked away and saw him jogging towards us...

"Nothing, let's go" I said and saw Swayam walking past me, in a speed and catching up with the group ahead, as if he was trying to get away from me...

I was still lost in the mere scene I saw of pain he has. Maybe he didn't mean those words when he spoke. It can also be that he was in some kind of stress from the meeting... I think I will think about forgiving him, but, only when he would ask for...
