As I ran through the woods my charm started to grow warmer and warmer, until I reached my clearing. I found a few years ago, when I was seven. I'm ten now. It was a field filled with silver flowers that I didn't know the name of. In the middle of the clearing was a box, a card on top. I walked over to it and sniffed it. Its smell was familiar like always but I couldn't recall anything but a beautiful face. The woman had dark hair, and golden eyes that shined with joy. I opened the card and inside was a card.

I turned to the box and opened it, inside was a bow and arrow. Carved into the bow was a wolf howling. There was also a wolf tooth necklace and a silver ring. I put the necklace on before studying the ring. It was a beautiful design. There was a woman etched into the ring, outlined in red, surrounded by a pack of wolves. I put the ring in my pocket before turning to the moon and howling. I waited and howling answered back. Ever since I found this place I learned that howling caused any wolf near to stop and answer. I never understood why this stuff happened but I was to afraid to ask. As I walked back home a wolf cub came running up to me." Hello jelly bean." The pup yipped in response and ran off in front of me. I smiled as she left and finally exited the woods. As I entered the house my dad looked up and shook his head. He's figured out pretty soon that anytime I went to the woods that I was coming back with something. Now before you judge him for letting his ten year old son wander around the woods understand that the necklace around my neck since birth keeps me safe.
" how was your walk?" Dad asked me after I put my bow and arrows away in the closet.
"Not bad, although I missed her again." I said sadly. He gave me a sad look.
"You'll meet her one day don't worry. If she didn't want to meet you then she wouldn't leave you birth day presents." He got up and put a hand on my shoulder.
"I know. What's for dinner?" I asked following him to the kitchen.
" deer." He pulled a slab of deer out of the fridge and I started drooling. Dad just shook his head and went out back to grill the meat.

As I layed in bed I played with the wolf tooth thinking of my mother. I fell asleep not to long after, thinking of a lullaby that always came to me at night.
Dream
As I slashed through the monster I looked around to see that only a hellhound remained. Soon one of the hunters killed it and set out to heal the wounded. I looked around for a moment before my eyes landed on my goddess. "ARTEMIS" She turned to me with a smile on her face and eyes sparkling with amusement. I ran up to her and hugged her before kissing her lightly. "You did good"
"I know, I'm not the goddess of hunt for no reason kelphead." She laughed. I smiled and shook my head lightly. " I love you Arty"
"I love you to Percy".
" the war is almost here, I just wish that we had more time. "
"I know Percy, let's go to Olympus, we'll be safer until camp needs us."
"Alright" I moved back and shifted into my wolf form, flapping my wings lightly.

I sat in the cave, waiting for her to arrive. I had asked her to give Percy a bow and arrows that I had made for him. I was to afraid that if I went I would not leave until I was sure that he wasn't Percy. Soon I heard her claws clicking on the stone floor of the den. " you should have seen his face, are you sure you won't meet him yet?" She asked shifting into her human form.
" I...I want to but, I just can't risk it."
"Just go Artemis."
I nodded my head and headed off into the forest. As I ran I couldn't stop thinking if the possibility that I would end up being disappointed and turned my direction back to the middle of Alaska. Soon I was back in my territory, where I first claimed my land after Percy's death. I soon came upon my hidden den and entered the twisting tunnels of my home.
