Another trial and then I'm done for two weeks and I can see my students and best friend. I forgot to mention I hung out with Hercules a lot. He and I went across the country at night and we were free together.
I was in the forest, I don't know where though. The trees were lush and the grass was bright green. I heard birds flying and singing their songs and other wild animals run around. I breathed in, it was so beautiful. I was happy until I heard a low, non friendly growl. I had a feeling that I wouldn't be able to tame this one. I looked over, and saw an 11 foot tall boar with massive tusks that I knew that could easily impale me. I wasn't afraid. I brought out my sword, but a note fell. I picked it up and read it
You are not allowed to kill it.
I muttered to myself about gods and horrible timings for warning me about stuff. I put my sword away and gulped before calmly walking up to it.
"Hey bud. I think you don't want to kill me, am I right?" I said loudly enough that it hear me. I heard it growl, as if it were telling me I was wrong. "Well, I guess I'm wrong. I don't want to harm you. I'm a friend." I said. I knew why I was sent to this beast, it was hard to tame, although the Nemean Lion should've been harder to tame.
It gave a snort, as if warning me. "Your a girl aren't you?" I asked, hoping it didn't get me killed. I looked at it and it, well she nodded her head, as if happy I was talking to her.
"Well, my name is Perseus. I guess you always wanted a friend. I'm like that too. I'm misunderstood. The Nemean Lion is my friend, you and him can meet each other and be great friends, the three of us, does that sound nice?" I said with a smile. She suddenly growled.
"Hey, hey, it's ok. The Nemean Lion won't hurt. I won't hurt. You're very powerful, I bet you can take him and I down easy." I smiled and it gave a proud snort. "So, friends?" I asked and she gave a nod. I held out my hand and she rubbed her snout against my hand.
"Well, what are we gonna name you girl?" I asked. It walked away, grabbing a long branch and wrote it on the ground. She is also very intelligent. I read the name, having troubles at first before I read it, Raze. And I nodded. Raze was a very unique name. It suited her. I did a call and a minute later, Hercules came running in. He did some sort of grin and had a conversation with Raze, who seemed happy. They talked for a while.
"Now that you two met, Raze, when I do that call I just did, that means I'm either in need of assistance or I want to hang out with you guys, ok?" I told her and she nodded. They ran away and I was flashed to Olympus.
"Tamed two wild beasts, how do you do it? I was hoping you would run away and I could have fun watching you get eaten by it." Zeus grumbled.
"These aren't animals Zeus, they are intelligent. They think and act like humans and learn like humans. We think those monsters are so complex, but they think and process things like we do. They fear death and war but when they are loyal to someone they will fight for them. Stop treating animals and monsters as if they don't understand us cause they are as intelligent as anyone here." I said and walked off Olympus. I went to the tattoo place.
"Ah, nice to see you again. I have a feeling I will see you here often. It's only been two and a half weeks, will I see you again?" The lady asked and I grinned.
"I have a feeling I will be coming here often. I want the face of a wild boar on my right shoulder with the word Raze under it. On my leg I want the words hells fighter." I ordered and she nodded.
"Why do you get animal faces on you? And swords? And the chain? And hells fighter? Any reason?" She questioned and I smiled.
"I'm facing a hard time in life right now, the chain for the cages I've mentally put myself in. Animals are intelligent creatures but fierce as well, I'm smart when it comes to fighting. Hells fighter is that I can go through hell without being scarred for life. The swords are for if I fight, I fight for peace." I explained for mortals. She handed me the paper and I walked over there there was a girl there. I gave it to her and she nodded. She told me to take off my shirt and I did.
"Interesting tattoos kid." She said. I laughed and she got started.
"Well I'm a tattoo person I guess." I shrugged and I looked at myself in the mirror that was right in front of my seat.
"It's not good to decorate your body so much." She advised.
"I know I want these. And I can always get them removed, even if it hurts." I said with a small nod to myself. Half an hour later I was done and payed. I walked out and walked to Yancy academy. I walked into the Greek class and smiled, it was my first class here. The teacher saw me and smiled.
"Hey Perseus, wanna take my place? I'm so tired and have to mark stuff." He said and I nodded.
"I'll be glad to. I have another monster to talk about anyways." I smiled and he sat down. Child of Iris I guess. I stood in front of the class, and saw Nancy in the back, and she grinned when she saw me walk in.
"Hey, what's up. Does anyone have a guess on what I'm going to talk about today?" I asked, sitting on the stool. No one raised their hands, they were just excited for me to teach.
"It's not a Greek Mythology creature, actually. It's kinda just a different kind of thing in Mythology." I said before grabbing a white board marker and writing. "A wild boar. Now, does anyone know why I picked this?" I asked and Leo raised his hand.
"Did a boar at the zoo bite off a finger of yours or something?" He asked and I laughed, so did the rest of the class.
"Luckily no, I would have gotten mad at how many times I lost a body part. One time is one time to many. I saw a boar, and there was a person aiming at it with a gun. Personally, I hate animals dying, they are as important as any human. This Greek boar is a solid 11 feet, which is like this tall." I said and outstretched my hand and showed them about 11 feet.
"It's tusks are massive and could undoubtedly easily stab through any living being. It's naturally competitive and bows to no one. If it friends anything, they have to earn their trust, and it's hard to gain. I brought the wild boar I found and attempted to befriend it, it didn't trust me much at first, but after a while it did, but it ran." I explained.
"Now, on the first day I came, I got you to write two pages about a monster, their bane, and the banes parentage, godly and mortal. I finally marked them. Dyslexia made it so it wasn't fun, but I enjoyed reading them." I said and handed them out. I handed the one back to Nancy last and I smiled at her, just like I did everyone else.
"You all did great. Now, maybe next time I'll bring some treats and award you for listening and doing well." I said and the entire class cheered, except for Nancy who smiled. She kinda just sat there and observed me.
"What kind of treat?" I heard someone call and I grinned.
"How does donuts and milkshakes sound to you?" I asked and the kids cheered.
"Ok, now, I want to play a little game. Nancy, you are the judge. Everyone pick a partner. Once you are done picking, one go to the left side of the class and the other go to the right." I instructed. Once everyone was done doing as I said I continued.
"I will be asking questions, once you get the answer, raise your hand, Nancy will be judging who raised their hand first. If you get it right, your team gets a point, if you get it wrong, the other team has a chance to steal the point, got it?" I asked.
