chapter 7: prepare the hunt
"Ladies and gentleman, welcome to the final round, a fearsome match between; The Spirit Seer, PERCEUS JACKSON!" The announcer roared with the crowd. "And his opponent, the man of hell itself, RAZOK OF HOUSE RAZ!" Razok responded by blasting out flames from both fists and his mouth.
"Man, you need a breath mint!" Percy said from the other side of the arena. "You could kill armies with that nasty breath!"
The crowd laughed at his insult as Razok fumed.
"Let the fight begin!" The announcer shouted, causing Razok to instantly shoot fire as Percy, who responded with a wave of water to put out the flames, while using it as a distraction to come up behind Razok, and hit him with the flat of his sword.
"Dead." Percy said with a smirk. Razok roared at him, only for Percy to respond by punching him in the face.
"Bastard!" Razok shouted, nose bleeding. Percy rushed forward and back handed Razok across the platform. "I'll kill you!"
"Try me." Percy said as he charged forward with the scythe behind him. Percy commanded the water to cover the blade, turning the 4' curved blade into a 7' ice scythe. "Because you just pissed me off."
Razok charged at Percy and made twin fire swords. When the two clashed, a shockwave of air burst from the impact of two extreme temperatures. A cloud of steam bloocked the sight of the two fighters from the crowd, but a few seconds later, Razok was sent flying back off of the platform
As the steam cleared, the crowd saw Percy still standing, a block of ice behind him, preventing him from moving backwards. All was silent for a few moments, before the crowd roared in cheer but also boo-ing at him.
"Well that was easy." Percy muttered to himself as the ice melted.
Fire Lord Ozai stood up, and walked down to the ring. When he got close, Percy put the scythe away, and kneeled on the ground. "My Lord."
"Come Perceus, we have much to discuss."
One tense walk later
"Perceus Jackson, you have won the tournament, and as such, earned the right to be my daughter's body guard." Fire Lord Ozai said as a servant brought forth a bow made of a red wood, with golden dragons snaking around the wood, their mouths opened in the middle, making a rest for the arrow. Another servant held a simple quiver of arrows. "I noticed you lacked range, so I had this made." He whispered.
"Thank you Fire Lord." Percy responded, picking up the bow and quiver.
"Do not take this gift lightly, Perceus. I have received word that all of my men have failed to capture the Avatar." Ozai said as they walked. "I know you can create a copy of yourself, and I want you to do just that. You are going hunting. And your prey, is the Avatar."
"I will need a ship. Custom built. Enough for 8 crew members. It would be foolish to go alone." Percy said as he looked over the many plants in the garden.
"Yes, you're correct. I will send a message to the factories to have it built. Before I do, you need to go meet the craftsman in a factory near the Earth Kingdom." Ozai said. "Now, the clone."
"Yes, my Lord." Percy said as the water from the nearby pond, and bended it into the shape of himself. In just seconds he created a copy so authentic, you couldn't tell the difference. "It shall be done. I will return, Avatar in tow." Percy said as he bowed.
"Hurry and get out of my sight." Ozai said. "And do your job."
If Percy noticed his change in tone, he didn't show it. As Percy walked out of the fire palace, he stopped to think. "If I am to hunt the Avatar, I will need a team. An earth bender, and fire bender. Maybe an archer and a swordsman. Someone with the knowledge of many things as well."

Percy P.O.V
I sighed as I stepped on to dry land. As much as I like it, I prefer the Sea. And away from Ozai. I have to act so proper, it's annoying. I looked around for the factory, but only saw the many active volcanoes. The captain behind me cleared his throat as he gestured to follow him.
"The factory on this island is specal, as only firebenders can open it." The captain said as he shot a fireball at a rock wall. At frist, nothing happened, but after a second or two, red lines traced along the wall. The rock split apart, and the captain walked through.
"Welcome, to Bunker Nine."
