The plan was working just fine. Like Percy had said, Appa was shedding, and when night fell, they started moving. Frank was currently a bird in a tree, watching for anything unexpected. He already told the group of the new addition of an blind earthbender, and the fact of the discord between Katara and Toph. Annabeth was without her mask, but still had her cloak. Jason quickly went to work and clouded the skies, in a thick cloud, and Frank began the first part, as he started making panicking bird noises and flew off, startling Annabeth out of her sleep. Tooh was out of her rock tent a second later and informed the group of the fast approaching tank. Quickly they packed up and set out again, and Frank turned into a flea that clung to Appa's back, under the saddle.

An hour later, in the second spot where the Gaang stayed, Frank jumped off and turned into a lizard and scurried into the woods, where he turned back into a human, and sent the location, confirming the exact location of the now sleeping group, turning into an owl and watched over the group. Once more, Katara and Toph fought, and Annabeth stayed up on the lookout for the tank. And once again, they had to move when Toph sensed the tank.

When the group reached the third location, the Gaang decided to stay and figure out who was chasing them. When the girls and Percy left the last car of the tank, on mongoose lizards, they decided to run once more. And slowly, the sun rose over the horizon, and Jason dispelled the clouds, letting the sun hit the group full force.

Soon after, Appa passed out, and crash landed. Frank left and did the same thing he had done the last three times. Toph stormed off, Annabeth following close behind to try and talk some sense into her, but was knocked back by a blast of earth. Appa was washed off and the Gaang split up, with the ground team catching up soon. Azula reached in and picked up some of the fur.

"Wad of wet fur." Mai stated blandly. "How delightful."

"Hmm, they're not wads. They're more like bundles. Or bunches? It's got an 'Uh' sound. Azula and Percy both looked around as Mai looked at Ty Lee in disbelief. "Clumps?"

Mai pointed out the tail the Avatar left behind as Azula took note of the broken tree tops.

"The avatar is trying to give us the slip. You three follow that tail, I'll follow the Avatar." Percy wanted to fight against it, but he knew that she had to go on her own for this. Her pride was on this, and his presence would be counterproductive. He nodded and they set out after the bison. Soon after, they found Appa, and chased after him. Annabeth stood up from the back Appa and let loose arrows that Percy deflected with his sword. When Appa landed on the other side of the river, Percy froze a path across, startling Katara, and making Annabeth tense. Katara sent a water blast at Ty Lee, who jumped off and landed on a pillar Percy made, and jumped all the way across, landing in front of Katara, who began to fight.

Mai was close behind, launching a salvo of darts at the water bender, but was intercepted by Sokka who threw his boomerang at her. Percy and Annabeth began to have a sword fight as he became a hurricane. Mai and Katara started to fight, and Ty Lee hit Sokka's pressure points in his arms and a leg, and punched his head to try and knock him out, only to hurt her hand. "Good try, but no."

Mai soon pinned Katara to a tree, while Annabeth was blown backwards into the same tree from Percy's hurricane. Sokka hopped over to them to try to help, but fell over.

"How you doing?"

"Well you know." Katara panicked, and annabeth groaned in agreement, rubbing the back of her head

"I thought when we finally caught you guys, it would be more exciting." Mai said in her own way of mocking them. "Oh, well, victory is boring."

A blast of air knocked them off their feet and into the water.

Downstream Ty Lee and Mai followed Percy out of the water, who was completely dry

"Was it just me, or was that blonde girl and the guy kinda cute?" Ty Lee asked Mai, who looked to the side in disgust.

"The two of you head back to the ship, I'm going after Princess Azula." Percy said as he made a board of ice and used it as a hoverboard, heading off in the direction of Azula.

At the time, Azula was pinned against the wall, surrounded by Iroh, Zuko, and the Gaang. Azula looked at Annabeth.

"I can see why Percy loves you, Annabeth right?" she watched as the Gaang's eyes widened. They had heard Annabeth talked about Percy before, but to know a fire nation Princess talk about him like that, like they were friends, was shocking. Aanabeth's grip on her sword tighten.

"I know you brainwashed him somehow, and I will undo it. He would never stand by as so many innocent people are killed and forced into labor." Annabeth said as she narrowed her eyes.

"Please, I didn't brainwash him. He is doing this of his own accord. Besides, you say you love him, and yet the only time he has ever thought of you is when I asked him if he loved anyone. Want to know what he said?" Azula said. Annabeth glanced at Toph, who shook her head. She wasn't lying. "I did."

Those words made the world collapse around Annabeth, who shouted in rage, and the earth responded, as a large boulder shot at Azula, who dodged and shot a fire blast at Iroh, making him collapse. Zuko shouted in panic and everyone shot a blast of elements at Azula, who was protected by a wall of Ice construction itself in front of her, as Percy swooped in and grabbed Azula, his mask gleaming dangerously.
