Chapter 12
Chapter 12
Harry's POV
"Lets go! We are gonna be late!" Lily yelled, seeming to bounce with excitement.
"Calm down." I said, resting a hand on my bouncing daughters shoulders. "We still have thirty minutes before the train leaves."
"But Daaaad." Lily groaned, "it's my first year! I can't risk it."
I couldn't help but laugh at what she was saying, it was almost the exact thing that James and Albus had said for their first years, before they realised that there really wasn't much to worry about.
"You know what, I have an idea." I said, shooting a look over my shoulder at my grinning wife.
"What is it?" Lily asked, only to be interrupted by the initialization of the idea.
"BOYS!!!!" Ginny yelled, sounding almost exactly like her mother and causing a round of loud crashes to sound before we saw both boys scrambling down the stairs.
"Where is she?" James asked, looking around in fear at the thought of an angry grandmother.
"She's not here, silly." Lily said, breaking into a round of giggles.
"Then who..." Albus started, before he noticed who was standing behind me. "Yelled...." He finished
"Hi mom." James said, walking over and giving her a hug. "How was work?"
"It was good, the Harpies are making fantastic progress in practice, I think we might just win this year." Ginny said, smiling as she returned James's hug.
"So... why did you yell?" Albus asked, looking between me and his mother.
"It's time to leave." I replied, resting a hand on his shoulder. "Did you pack everything?"
"Yep!" Albus replied, indicating the trunk that had tumbled down the stairs behind him.
"You owl?" I asked.
"In the kitchen." Albus replied.
"Your robes?"
"Check."
"Caldron?'
"Yep."
"Your books?"
"Please, I didn't even touch them after we bought them, I just placed them straight into the trunk." Albus said, like it was obvious, which it was.
"What about your wand?" I asked.
"It's right.... Here....." Albus said, as he started digging through his pocket looking for the wand. "Where is it?!?" Albus yelled, as he started ripping through the pocket as if it would magically appear, which coincidentally, it did. "Found it!' he yelled, holding the wand up in victory and causing James to break down laughing at what he viewed as a prank worthy of Gred and Forge, even though he never knew Gred.
"James." Ginny scolded, "What have we said about pranking your brother?"
"Only do it if I include Lily?" James asked.
"Well yes, but no." Ginny answered, folding her arms and giving my son, the look.
"Um..... OH! James suddenly exclaimed, seeming to figure out what she meant. "Don't end the prank too soon!"
"Exactly!" Ginny exclaimed, "but I will let you off the hook, just this once."
"Thanks mom!" James and Albus yelled, one in gratitude and one with sarcasm.
"Alright!" I said, interrupting the bonding time. "We really must be going, I think Lily is going to explode if we don't get her to the train."
"Hey!" Lily yelled, turning slightly red from embarrassment. "I'm not that bad!"
"Whatever you say, sweetie." I said, scooping her up and placing her on my shoulder. "Is everyone ready?"
"Yep!" everyone corrused.
"Albus did you grab your owl from the kitchen?'
"Bloody hell!"
30 seconds later
"Is everyone ready now?" I asked, sending a grin towards my now flustered son.
"Yeah.."
"James, do you have Lily's trunk?"
"Yep."
"Alright, and away we go." I started, before we were all sucked into an uncomfortable cycle of Apparition, before we got spat out in the alley next to kings cross.
"Ugh." James, Albus, and Lily groaned.
"I am never gonna get used to that." James said, rubbing his stomach and earning a nod of agreement from his siblings.
I couldn't help but chuckle at that before I started walking around the corner and into kings cross.
After a few minutes of walking, we finally reached the entrance to the platform.
"Alright, James, your first."
"Cool!" James replied, before he charged past me and ran straight into a wall, only to disappear from view.
"Your turn, Albus." Ginny said.
"Ok mom!" Albus replied, before he rushed the wall, and disappeared like his brother.
"Alright." I said, grabbing Ginny's hand. "Are we ready?"
"Of course." Ginny replied, before she proceeded to march towards the wall, causing me to try to catch up and not lose the child that was still placed on my shoulders.
"Woah!" Lily exclaimed, as we came through the platform.
"Lily, you have seen the station before." I said, laughing at her as I lifted her off my shoulders.
"It's still cool." she replied, crossing her arms and pouting.
"You've done it now." Ginny said, before she noticed some of our old classmates and rushed off to talk to them.
"Ok fine, it's cool." I said, trying to coax her out of her pout.
Lily just grumbled in response, obviously still not happy with me.
"What if I tell you a secret, will that make you happy?" I asked, trying to get her to uncross her infinitely crossed arms.
"What kind of secret?" Lily asked, still not looking at me.
"You are going to have a new teacher at Hogwarts this year." I said, hoping that would be enough.
"James and Albus said there is always a new teacher at hogwarts." Lily replied, crushing my hopes of keeping some parts of the secret, well, secret.
"But have they ever had me as their teacher?" I asked, drawing a look of surprise from her daughter and a drop of the crossed arms.
"Your gonna be.." Lily started, only to be cut off by an all to familiar voice.
"Potter." Draco said.
"Malfoy." I replied, giving my daughter a quick hug before I ushered her towards the train. "Don't tell anyone the secret!" I called after her, earning a zip of the lips.
"I have heard a rumor that you are going to be the new DADA teacher this year." Draco said.
"That is true." I replied, still not completely used to talking to Draco like he was a friend.
"Well in that case... " Draco started, trailing off slightly as if he lost some courage, "Would you mind telling me who the new Care for Magical Creatures teacher is? No one at the ministry knows, and I obviously can't ask Hagrid."
"Wait.... Hagrid retired?" I asked, having not heard any of this.
"Oh, so they didn't tell you?" Draco asked, looking mildly surprised.
"No..." I said, trailing off slightly.
"Well, let me know who the teacher is when you get there. I like to keep track of who is teaching Scorpio." Draco said, sending a concerned look towards his son. "I just..." Draco started, seeming to want to continue only for him to trail off.
"I understand." I said, placing a comforting hand on Draco's shoulder, something I never thought I would do. "Astoria is in a better place though, just remember that." I continued, trying to be as comforting as I could.
"It's been a year, why does it still hurt to think about her?" Draco asked.
"She was your wife, she was the mother of your child, obviously you would be upset about her death." I said, removing my hand from his shoulder.
"I know... it's just..." Draco started, only to be cut off by three new voices.
"Hey guys!" Ron, Hermione, and Ginny called.
"Hey!" I replied, while Draco just gave a stiff nod towards the three.
"So, what are we talking about?" Ron asked

Harry has arrived at hogwarts.
Third Person POV
"Hello headmistress." Harry said, dipping his head slightly towards Headmistress McGonagall.
"And hello to you, Professor Potter." McGonagall replied, a kind smile gracing her usually stern face.
"I heard that Hagrid retired." Harry said, getting straight to his point.
"As a teacher, yes. He still wanted to be groundskeeper, but he was tired of juggling the two duties." the Headmistress replied, indicating the two seats taking the place of where Hagrids oversized seat used to be.
"Oh." Harry replied, looking at the two empty seats. "And where are the new... teachers?"
"They should be here any minute, they said they needed to put their son to bed." McGonagall replied, indicating me to take the DADA seat.
"Their son?" Harry asked, after taking my seat.
"Oh yes." Neville replied, seeming excited about the new teachers. "Their son is a troublesome one, they arrived at Hogwarts a while ago in order to get accustomed to life here and get their classes all set up, and their boy, Luke I believe, causes quite the ruckus."
"How old is their son?" Harry asked, having never heard of a teacher bringing their kids to Hogwarts, when the kids weren't enrolled at least.
"I believe Luke is two. He is their youngest." Neville replied, looking slightly uncertain.
"They have more kids?" Harry asked
"Three others, a set of twins and then another one." Neville Replied
Harry looked like he was going to ask more questions, but he was cut off as the doors to the great hall burst open and five pegasi came flying in.
"Bloody Hell." Harry yelled, looking at the Pegasi. Only for them to land in front of him.
"Hello professors." the Headmistress called, looking at the two largest Pegasi.
"Professors? What do you mea..." Harry started, before all five pegasi started to shift to reveal five black haired individuals, two of them looking to be around their twenties. Two looking like carbon copies of each other, and the last looking like the youngest.
"Hello headmistress." the two oldest said together, drawing a freaked out look from Harry, who hadn't seen something like this since the time of Fred and George.
"Yeah, hello headmistress." the carbon copies said as one, drawing a literal facepalm from the final member of the family.
"Hello Zoe, Bianca." McGonagall said, sending a friendly smile towards the two.
"Minerva, I see we have a new teacher here." the deep voice of Percy Jackson commented, drawing the attention of all the teachers.
"Yes, this is Harry Potter." Minerva said, indicating the still confused Potter. "Would you and Thalia mind introducing yourselves?" Minerva asked, giving the two professors a look that confused the other professors, given that they had already introduced themselves as Percy and Thalia Jackson, wizards from Ilvermorny.
"Of course." The couple said together,
"I am Percy." Percy started, stepping closer to the teachers.
"And I am Thalia." Thalia said.
"We are the newest gods of the greek world.
"I am the god of water, earth, animals, and family." Percy continued, indicating his family behind him and for some reason, sending a look towards Harry Potter.
"And I am the goddess of hunt, wildlife, lightning, and loyalty." Thalia continued.
"I am the son of Poseidon, defeater of lots of cool and evil stuff in greek mythology." Percy continued, only to be elbowed roughly in his side. "Fine." Percy said, before he went into a ten minute listing of everything that he had defeated and all the quests that he had been on. Which seemed to shock the professors to their cores, besides McGonagall of course.
"And I am a daughter of Zeus." Thalia replied, before she went into a large explanation of he titles, which although not as much as Percy was still a good amount.
"And we are their kids!" Zoe, Bianca, and Annabeth yelled as one.
"Though Luke is asleep." Annabeth said after a moment's hesitation.
"We were both born as demigods." the two continued as one, sending their kids a smile.
"I was the son of Sally Jackson, who at the time was the last descendant to the house of Dumbledore, and one of the last descendants to the house of Potter." Percy continued, drawing a look of surprise from Harry Potter.
"And I was the daughter of a drunkard who shall not be named, and was the last descendant of the house of Black, and the house of Lestrange." Thalia said.
"And I am your cousin." Percy finished, looking towards Harry, before the doors to the great hall were thrown and students started to file in.
Boom! sorry for the super long delay, I wish I could say the next chapter would be out within the next twenty seconds, or even within this week. Sadly I can't, I am going out of state for two weeks and I won't have my computer with me, and I probably won't have much internet.
I will try to upload another chapter when I get back, but once I get back I start work back up again, and I start college, so chapters for this will mostly likely be very slow coming forward in the future. Sorry in advance.
Dudes and dudettes. I have decided to actually end this story here. The reasons are
1. I have lost interest in it and want to end it here as Percy's path to being a wizard.
2. This leaves me in a position of where if I ever decide to attract this concept again. I have a good starting point where I can make a sequel around their lives as wizards and them teaching at hogwarts.
3. I am starting work (and I got a promotion at work meaning more hours) and school up again and worry that I won't be able to update this as often as I would like and instead of making you all wait forever for a super short chapter I will just end the book here and maybe do a sequel.
Again I am sorry. And who knows. If I have time I might someday either do a sequel or tackle a completely new Percy Jackson concept. Or even a original idea. We shall see.
