Chapter 11
Chapter 11
*Five Years Later*
*year 2020*
Percy's POV
'Shit!' I thought, as I raced through the woods. 'How do I get out of this?' Now you're probably wonder, what one did I get into, why am I running. And what happened to my five year honeymoon. Well to answer them all real quick and in no exact order, I am still on my honeymoon. The time is almost up. And for what situation I am in, well you will know in. Three. Two. One!
"Gotcha!" the oldest demon yelled, latching onto my leg and soon being followed by the three other demons.
"NNNOOOO!!!" I cried out dramatically, earning a round of giggling from the demons.
"Yeah!" They called as one, "We finally got him!"
"Please! Have mercy!" I cried out, making my father in law proud, probably.
"Nope!" The two oldest demons said together, before a new round of laughter was heard.
"Oh how the mighty have fallen." My ever helpful wife teased.
"My savior!" I called out, only to notice too late the glint in her eyes.
"Definitely not." Thalia said, before she joined the demons in the Percy pile.
"Ooof." I oofed out, "What did I do to deserve this?"
"You stole Annabeth's art book!" Zoe and Biance, the twins. Yelled as one.
"Yeah!" Annabeth said, before she yelped in pain from little Luke pulling her hair. "Ouch! Luke!" Annabeth said, rounding on her younger brother.
Luke just giggled in response, and continued to use his little two year old hands to pull her hair.
"Stop it!" Annabeth yelled, trying to fight off the youngest of the demons. And sending the twins into a round of giggling. "It's not funny!" Annabeth yelled, glaring at her older sisters.
Now you are probably confused, because last you heard from us from the creepy guy in the chair, Thalia was pregnant and we were just married and sent on our honeymoon. Well long story short, immortal pregnancies don't last very long, resulting in the birth of Zoe and Bianca, named after the original Zoe and Bianca, though we kept Zoe's name a little simpler. And a year later, we had Annabeth. Which was very much a surprise. And then as you probably figured out, we had Luke a few years after that. So to shorten this already shortened story, Zoe and Bianca are the ripe evil age of five. And love to torment me, Annabeth is just a year younger, rolling in at the age of four, though I swear she is smarter than the twins put together. Don't tell them I said that. And then Luke is two, like I said earlier. Now back to the story.
"Luke!" Annabeth yelled, earning a round of mocking from the twins as they did the creepy twin thing of speaking as one
"Luke!" Zoe and Bianca, before they both broke down in giggles.
"Stop that!" Annabeth yelled, rounding on her sisters and forgetting her original goal of holding me down, and her secondary goal of scolding Luke.
"Stop that!" the twins coroused.
"Girls." Thalia called, prying Luke out of his sister's hair, "You know how much Annabeth hates it when you do that."
"That's the point." Bianca and Zoe said as one. Earning an irritated groan from Annabeth.
"Girls." Thalia said, giving them the look.
"Fine." they grumbled, climbing off of me and walking over to their mother.
"Hey! I didn't say to..." Thalia started, before she was interrupted by me scooping her up.
"Gotcha!" I cheered, peppering kisses down her neck and causing her to turn a lovely gold color.
"Percy!" Thalia yelled, "Now is not the time! The kids are here."
"Yeah daddy!" The twins coroused again. "Now is not the time!" before they also turned gold as they realized what their mother, and in turn, they had implied. "We mean... um... uh.." They stammered, trying to find a way out of this predicament and causing a new round of laughter to erupt. Courtesy of yours truly. And also causing me to set Thalia down, because it got hard to breathe from laughing so hard.
"Alrighty Percy, that's enough. Stop teasing the girls." Thalia scolded, as she tried to wrestle a now squirming Luke.
"Fine." I said getting up from my spot on the floor and walking back over to Thalia, "Let me see him." I said, holding my hands out for our most troublesome child.
"Ugh!" Thalia groaned, "I don't get it, with the twins it was easy. They favored you!" This drew some avoiding eye contact from the twins. "And with Annabeth she favored me!" This of course drew a hug from Annabeth, of course it was delivered to Thalia, not to me. "But with Luke! Ugh, it's like he needs both of our attention! Constantly!"
"I know, I know." I said, placing my hand on the back of Luke's head and causing him to instantly calm down.
"You take him!" Thalia suddenly said, looking like she just realized something.
"Wait what? I thought you just sa..." I started, before I was interrupted by Thalia shoving Luke into my hands before she quickly stepped away. "What are you...." I started, before I was suddenly interrupted as a massive earthquake surged through my body. "Oooff." I said, almost dropping to a knee. "Luke.... What was that for?" I croaked, sending a look towards the now sleeping two year old.
"I knew it!" Thalia declared, walking up and taking Luke out of my arms.
"Knew what?" I asked.
"He is coming into his powers that he got!" Thalia said, looking at me like it was obvious, which it wasn't.
"What's your point?" I asked, rubbing my still sore stomach. "The girls got powers as well, and none of them threw an earthquake at me. Or needed both of us to be near them."
"I think I know why." Thalia said, shifting Luke to her left side, and hoisting Annabeth up with her right arm.
"And what would that be?" I asked, as the twins double Koalad me, one wrapping up my front and the other wrapping up my back.
"Well, you know how Annabeth's control is mostly with my domains, and she only has a slight amount of control with yours?" Thalia asked.
"Yes." I replied, remembering how I learned that I was now mostly immune to lightning.
"And you know how the twins both hold massive control over your domains and only a small amount over mine?" Thalia continued, and drawing an oh me oh my look from me as I caught on.
"You don't think?" I started.
"That Luke has an equal amount of control over both our domains, yes I do." Thalia replied, shifting her two demons. "Now obviously this doesn't make Luke stronger than our daughters." Thalia continued, "It just means he has a wider range of powers."
"I never would have suggested otherwise." I said, "I mean, obviously these two are the most powerful of our kids." I said, jostling the two Koala's, who coincidentally had actually shifted into the forms of Koala's.
This of course drew an indignant 'Hey!' from Annabeth and a fresh round of giggling from the Koala's.
"He is just joking sweety." Thalia said, looking down at her young protege.
After a few more minutes of aimless walking and friendly banter, I decided to ask my wife what our plan was for today, with probably those exact words.
"So.." I started, "What's the plan for today?"
This of course drew the attention of the Koala's, who shifted back to their normal forms and climbed up onto my shoulders, each taking a shoulder of their choosing.
"Yeah!" They asked together. "What's the plan?"
This of course earned an eye roll from the mother daughter duo.
"If you must know." Thalia said, sending a teasing look towards our little trio, and somehow starting a fresh round of baby snores from Luke. "I think it is high time for us to call this Honeymoon over."
"You know what." I said, looking over at my wife. "I couldn't agree more. And it is high time that our little demons met the rest of their family."
"Perfect!" Thalia said, "The summer solstice is today, we will be a couple months early, but that is just fine."
"Sounds like a plan." I said, "We will meet you there."
"What do you..." Thalia started, before me and the twins were gobbled up by the earth and sprung out just outside the throne room doors.
"Woah!" Zoe said, looking around in wonder.
"Yeah." Bianca agreed, before they gained a troublesome smirk.
"Can we do that again?" they asked rather loudly, which was only amplified by them speaking directly into my ears.
"WHAT?" I asked dramatically, "speak up kids." this earned more giggling from the two, before we were interrupted by the other half of our family appearing in a flash of lightning.
"Did you really have to do that?" Thalia asked, giving me, the look.
"Yes." I replied, raising my nose dramatically in a pish posh manner. "I absolutely did."
"What ever." Thalia said, trying to sound irritated by failing due to the smile on her face. "Let's head in side, before..." She started, before we were interrupted by yelling.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WERE BORED?!?" a voice that sounded remarkably like Artemis yelled.
"EXACTLY WHAT I SAID!" a voice yelled back, "I WAS BORED!"
"APOLLO!" the huntress yelled.
"Uh oh." The twins said, catching the very obvious sign of a sibling fight.
"Let's go see what is going on." I suggested, shifting the two girls on my shoulders.
'Sounds like a plan!" Thalia replied, before I stepped forward and pushed the door open, like the gentle god that I am.
"Why thank you, good sir." Thalia said.
"Anything for you, Milady." I replied, dipping my head and making the twins think they were going to fall.
"AAAHHH!" the twins yelled, drawing the attention of the council and causing a new round of laughter from the family.
"Son?" my dad asked, looking over at me and Thalia. "You're early."
"We know." I said, "But we wanted to say hi."
"Yep! HI!!!!" The twins agreed, waving their hands frantically. And earning a facepalm from Annabeth and Thalia and more snoring from Luke.
"Are these your kids?" my dad asked, walking over to us.
"Yep!" I replied, "These are the little demons."
"HEY!" Zoe and Bianca cried as one. "We aren't demons! It's just those two!" they argued, pointing towards the now accused siblings and drawing an argument from Annabeth.
After around five minutes of them arguing, and me and my dad talking, Thalia decided to get to the matter at hand.
"Why was Artemis yelling at Apollo?"
"Why does she ever yell at Apollo?" Ares grumbled, earning a hard glare from the goddess in question.
"It really isn't any concern." Apollo said, looking nervous. "She just doesn't like what I do with my free time."
"Oh shut up!" Artemis yelled, "He created a new disease." she continued, turning towards me and Thalia.
"It was supposed to be called Apolloitis." Apollo moaned.
"But the idiot made it similar to other diseases." Artemis continued, "And it has grown out of control."
"What's it called?" I asked, sending Apollo my disappointed look.
Apollo mumbled something in reponses.
"Pardon?" Thalia asked, also giving Apollo the disappointed look, "We didn't quite catch that." this earned more giggling from our awake children and yet again more snoring from Luke.
"Why does it matter what it is called?" Apollo evaded.
"Oh for crying out loud!" Artemis said, "it's called Covid-19, or the Corona virus to most of the mortals." Artemis said, "and it has spread like everywhere! The world is in chaos!"
"Is there a cure?" Zoe asked, finally stopping her crazed giggling.
"No." Artemis said, "The idiot decided not to make a specific cure for it."
"Hey! I gave the mortals a way to fight it!" Apollo protested.
"Not a very good one!" Artemis countered.
"Yeah!" Ares cheered, sensing a fight starting. "You tell him!"
"Oh don't you even get me started!" Artemis yelled, rounding on her half brother.
"What do you.." Ares started, before getting interrupted.
"Don't think I didn't notice your part in the riot! Using your aura to make people unusually angry, causing pandemonium! You burned down a hunting store!" Artemis yelled.
"Now you listen here!" Ares said, standing from his throne and glaring at Artemis.
"Uh oh." Bianca said, already seeing where this was headed.
"Uh oh in deed." I agreed.
*Time Skip*
Thirty minutes, a bloody Ares, and a still pissed off Artemis later, and the council meeting was finally back on track.
"Alrighty then." I said, vanishing the popcorn I had summoned for my family and the earthen chairs. "Now that that's over.." I started, before being interrupted by a flash of light.
"Perseus! Thalia!" A voice yelled.
"Over here." Thalia replied.
"Oh." the voice said, before the light faded to reveal the Titaness of magic. "It's time."
"You need us to go to your magic school?" I asked.
"Yep." Hecate replied.
"And what of our kids?" Thalia asked.
"Bring them with!" Hecate said, "The more the merrier."
"When do we leave?" I inquired, secretly bubbling with excitement of doing magic, again.
"Now!" Hecate said before she snapped her fingers and we appeared in a massive room. "Now the school year doesn't start for a couple months, but I figured this would give the two of you time to get used to the layout of the castle, and get your classroom all sorted."
"Do they know about gods?" Thalia asked, seeming to suddenly notice a possible problem.
"Of course! I created this world, of course they know of their origins." Hecate responded like it was obvious. "They just don't like gods, they think with their magic that they should be able to over power us." She continued in a quieter town.
"Ok then." I said, sending Thalia a look. "Should we tell them who we are?"
"Definitely. And include your titles, it might get them to respect you a little bit more." Hecate replied, nodding her head rapidly.
"Sounds like plan" I said, "anyways, what class will we be.." I started, before getting cut off by an explosion
"What was that?" Thalia asked
"Nothing you need to worry about" Hecate said, not looking worried in the slightest
"Ok then." I said.
"Anyways." Thalia said, shacking off all thoughts of the explosion. "what will we be teaching?" She asked
"You will be teaching Care of Magical Creatures." Hecate replied, before she suddenly vanished from the school.
*Flashback over*
"About time you snapped out of it." Thalia said, moving her head from my shoulder and drawing my gaze away from the black lake. "Did you like the memories and gave you of my time finding a dress?" She teased.
"I did indeed." I teased back, leaning down to give her a kiss, only to be stopped by her.
"Now is not the time." Thalia teased, moving her hand down my jaw. "Students will start arriving tomorrow, and Hagrid wants to make sure we know everything we need to do for when we take over the class for him." Thalia continued.
"Alright." I groaned.
"Hey! Don't complain, I will reward your patients tonight." Thalia said suggestively. "Now let's go!"
"Coming!" I said, rushing after my now running wife and getting excited for what the night would bring.
Baddabing, badda boom! we have finally escaped the evil flash back.
for any confusion, the kids currently have power much like a demigod would, they are to young to have their own domains. so they have the powers of their parents, just at a lesser scale.
Zoe and Bianca are the most powerful of the four kids. Being the first born children of Percy and and Thalia, though Zoe is slightly stronger than her sister having been born a little before her. Zoe and Bianca also have an affinity for control over water and earth (Percy's domains) as well as the ability to turn into animals. They have control over Thalia's domains just not as much as they do Percy's.
Annabeth is the third strongest. Having more control over Thalia's domains of lightning hunt and wildlife than she does over Percy domains of water earth and animals. And she is also smarter than her older sisters (at least book wise).
And finally, Luke is the weakest of the siblings, but he holds and equal affinity to both Percy and Thalia's domains. His intelligent level is unknown because he is only two. And yeah.
I hope y'all continue to like the story. And until next time, piece out!"
